The Hidden Evil: Villainous Cultivator

Chapter 25: Full Recovery

Ye Feng remained silent. He remembered falling, remembered the pain, the cold. Yet now, he was alive.

Xia Ming smiled. "You've been asleep for two years! I was so worried! How do you feel?"

Ye Feng examined his body, feeling an unfamiliar energy coursing through him. He had been broken, yet now he was… whole. "I… feel different."

"That is because I used herbs to stabilise your injuries," Xia Wentian explained. "You had many old wounds. I was surprised you survived at all."

Ye Feng merely nodded. Death had always lingered near him. It was nothing new.

The next six months were spent in intense rehabilitation. Despite his indifferent nature, Ye Feng was disciplined. He never wasted a moment, regaining his strength with relentless determination.

Xia Ming helped him through it all. She prepared medicinal baths, assisted him in walking when his legs were weak, and even sat with him under the moonlit sky, talking about things he rarely responded to. She celebrated each small victory—when he first managed to sit up alone, when he took his first steps, when he was finally able to wield a wooden practice sword.

"You never smile," she remarked one evening. They sat near a small pond, fireflies dancing around them. "Do you not feel happy that you survived?"

Ye Feng gazed at his reflection in the water. "It is not that , i am more than happy to be alive."

"Ye Feng, do you like the mountains?" she asked one day as they sat by a bubbling stream.

"They're... quiet," he replied, his voice monotone.

Xia Ming smiled. "I love the mountains. They make me feel safe, like nothing bad can happen here."

Ye Feng looked at her, his expression unreadable. "Safety is an illusion."

Xia Ming's smile faltered, but she quickly recovered. "Maybe, but it's nice to believe in it, don't you think?"

Ye Feng didn't respond, his gaze drifting to the horizon.

As the days passed, Xia Ming found herself drawn to Ye Feng. His coldness did not push her away; instead, it made her want to reach him even more. He was strong, mysterious, and had suffered more than she could imagine. But beneath that indifference, she believed there was something deeper.

She began to look forward to their time together, cherishing the rare moments when he would open up, even if just a little.

"Ye Feng, do you think you'll stay here with us?" she asked one evening as they watched the sunset.

"I don't belong here," he replied, his voice cold.

Xia Ming's heart ached at his words. "But you could belong here, if you wanted to. We could be your family."

Ye Feng turned to look at her, his eyes piercing. "Family is a weakness."

Xia Ming reached out and gently placed her hand on his. "Family is strength, Ye Feng. It gives you something to fight for."

For a moment, Ye Feng's expression softened, but he quickly pulled his hand away. "You don't understand."

One night, as the moonlight bathed the courtyard in a silvery glow, Xia Ming approached Ye Feng, who was practicing his sword techniques under the peach blossom tree.

One day, as they stood at the edge of the cliff where Xia Wentian had found him, Xia Ming finally gathered the courage to confess her feelings.

"Ye Feng, I... I care about you. More than just as a friend," she said, her voice trembling.

Ye Feng's expression didn't change. "You shouldn't."

"Why not?" she asked, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Because I'm not the person you think I am," he replied. " I don't deserve your kindness, and I can't give you what you want."

Xia Ming shook her head. "You're more than that, Ye Feng. I see the good in you, even if you don't."

Ye Feng turned away, his voice cold and final. "Then you're a fool."

To Ye Feng, Xia Ming's beauty was both a comfort and a mystery. Her innocence and warmth stood in stark contrast to the harshness of his own life, and though he tried to remain indifferent, he couldn't help but notice the way her presence seemed to soften the edges of his hardened heart. Yet, her beauty was also a reminder of everything he felt he could never have—a life of peace, love, and belonging.

The next morning,

Ye Feng was gone. He left without a word, disappearing into the mountains as silently as he had arrived. Xia Ming stood at the edge of the forest, her heart heavy with sorrow.

"Grandfather, why did he leave?" she asked, tears streaming down her face.

Xia Wentian placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Some wounds run too deep to heal, Ming. Ye Feng is a boy who has known only pain and darkness. It will take more than kindness to change him."

Xia Ming nodded, though her heart refused to accept it. She would always remember the boy who had come into her life, broken and lost, and the love she had felt for him, even if he could never return it.

Ye Feng left because he did not wanted to ruin her life , he now had clear goal in his life which was to take control of everything he will not hesitate even a bit to accomplish what he wanted , this was the first and last compromise he made in his heart before leaving to outside world.

From now on if a girl want to give herself to him he will not refuse, heck he will go after the girls he wanted for himself, he wanted everything beauty, money , strength , and lastly he wanted to control his own fate.

He will live his life more freely than anyone else , he will break all the shackles which will try to bind him, kill anyone who stood in his way.

He was not afraid of anything, what death he face it twice , it could not scare him . Even if he dies , he will die without regrets , that were his thought and that is what he will do.
