The heroines are very obsessed

Chapter 24: Destined meeting

Chapter 24

Campbell burst into tears again, but this time it was worse than before.

"Hahaha..."

Sylvia burst out laughing.

Even Liam was trying to hold back his laughter with all his might.

I didn't care about them because now I had to check my reward.

Thud...

"Ouch!"

Before I could look at the reward, I felt a small hit on my head.

Of course, it was Mary's doing.

Mary was looking at me with an angry gaze and a bit of surprise.

She didn't expect me to do that.

"I thought you would fix the situation, but you made it worse."

And even though it was a small hit, you should never underestimate the strength of women in this world.

I felt like a hammer had struck my head, but since she was holding herself back, there were no bumps.

"Ouch... Don't you feel guilty hitting this beautiful face?"

I couldn't help but object.

"...."

Mary went silent because she couldn't find an excuse to refute my words. Then she turned to Campbell.

"Don't believe what Kim says, he loves to joke a lot... I think you didn't do anything wrong."

"But being born poor doesn't mean you have to die poor... right?"

Campbell looked at her before nodding his head as tears flowed from his eyes.

"You have to try resisting when you're bullied so they don't think you're weak."

After an hour of encouragement, Campbell finally stopped crying.

Honestly, I can never get used to the men in this world.

They cry when attacked, cry when hit, and cry if they get a small scratch— even when I tried to comfort him, he cried.

I couldn't help but miss the school days.

It was necessary to break a bone or two every month.

Ah, what beautiful days. I miss those times.

[...]

Even the system went silent at that moment.

Mary stepped away and went to Sylvia before speaking.

"Isn't it tiring taking care of him?"

Sylvia looked at Liam in her arms before speaking.

"Yes... very."

When I looked at Liam, who was pretending to be asleep, I couldn't help but laugh.

Is this kid trying to make me jealous?

I'm not a child to feel jealous of such a foolish thing.

I laughed in my mind... I'm looking forward to seeing his expression when I take Sylvia.

"Alright, let's go quickly."

Said Sylvia after waking Liam, who was pretending to sleep.

"Yes, let's go. There isn't much time left."

Said Mary.

We all looked at the large screen in the air:

[Second Test]

∆ Remaining Time: 00:05:02:25

Only five hours left.

After hearing them, I held my gun before I started moving.

We took Campbell with us and placed him and Liam at the rear.

I held the gun, ready for any monsters to appear.

Only five points left to collect, so I had to do my best.

We headed along the path filled with gravel and broken branches until we reached the river.

The only sounds echoing in the area were the sounds of steps on branches.

Birds were chirping as they flew around.

The wind gave off a terrifying howl.

Why did the forest become scary today?

The place was unusually quiet, and monsters were drinking freely from the river.

When I looked at the monsters, I couldn't help but smile.

Looks like I was just imagining things.

No sign of crazy George, and there's a full herd of monsters here.

Never underestimate the fate of characters.

I held the gun and shot the head of an F-class monster before its head exploded into pieces.

Mary moved quickly and killed two monsters in seconds.

A monster approached her from behind trying to bite her, but she dodged it with graceful steps before jumping on its back and slicing its neck.

If you looked at her from afar, you'd see she greatly resembled a rhythmic gymnast.

The artistic footwork she moved with, as if she were on stage,

And the agile body that dodged attacks with ease,

Also the smooth sword movements,

Equal pieces, as if she were cutting through butter.

Even though she was the villainess, she had the qualities to become a heroine.

Only one monster left for Mary to reach S-class.

As Mary was about to finish the monster, a fireball exploded near it.

When I looked at the source of the fire, I saw it came from Campbell's magic wand.

"I'm sorry, I missed the target."

Campbell apologized before aiming another shot at the monster's leg.

Mary took that moment to slice off the monster's head.

Finally, we can now enter S-class.

But our joy didn't last long.

A corpse drenched in blood flew beside my body.

Blood covered the corpse heavily.

Why is there a flying corpse?

Looking closer, I realized it was Campbell's body.

I quickly turned to the rear and found Liam running toward us.

[I told you, Host, problems will keep chasing you.]

Since Mary, Sylvia, and Liam entered S-class, it's normal if they died now,

because when you die at the hands of monsters, you get all your points.

That's why many students prefer to be killed by monsters on the last day

instead of risking losing all their points to another student.

Sylvia pulled out her sword before speaking.

"I was wondering what you found at the river, but it looks like you found something interesting."

"Come on, I've been waiting for you for a while,"

Said Mary before the terrifying figure emerged from the forest.
