Chapter 17: Chapter 17- Youkai Faction
The city of Kyoto encompassed an extremely important region for Japan, having been the ancient capital before it was changed to Tokyo.
Of course, its importance wasn't only for humans but for supernatural beings as well.
Kyoto was surrounded by powerful Ley Lines, which carried vast amounts of the earth's energy, and especially because it was home to a race—the Youkai.
They were beings originating from Asia, Japan, and China, considered demons and monsters as mentioned in various legends. There are many tales about Youkai being troublemakers and playing pranks on humans, both before and after periods like the Edo Period. Among the Youkai, there are factions and leaders known as Daiyoukai, who control them.
In the past, there were three Youkai also known for their overwhelming strength, capable of destroying all of Japan, which forced them to be sealed.
Shuten Douji, a mythical oni and demon leader of Japan, who, according to legend, was killed by the hero Minamoto Raikō.
Otakemaru, an ancient demonic entity from the Suzuka Mountains before being demoted to a powerful oni, defeated by the combined efforts of General Sakanoue Tamuramaro and the celestial princess Suzuka Gozen.
And also Tamamo-no-Mae, a Nine-Tailed Fox and an Avatar of the Sun Goddess Amaterasu.
The most powerful among the Youkai were called Daiyoukai—existences capable of facing Ultimate-class beings head-on.
And Youkai so powerful that they were transformed into Buddhas—like Sun Wukong.
The Youkai maintained a peaceful relationship with humans, not interfering with them. The Youkai themselves were more active at night and had their own area in Kyoto, surrounded by barriers that prevented the entry of normal humans.
Of course, this applied to normal humans. Our favorite pair of adoptive brothers were far from normal.
Cao Cao and Alexandre passed through the barrier into the Youkai's domain without a care.
"It seems they know you or something," Cao Cao said to Alex as they entered and crossed through the Youkai territory.
Many of the inhabitants seemed to recognize Alexandre, murmuring among themselves, catching the attention of the wielder of the Holy Spear.
"That outfit…"
"It's him!"
"He's back?"
"I've never seen him up close like this before."
"Do you think he's going to see Princess Yasaka?"
Those were some of the things they said that Cao Cao overheard, but Alex apparently ignored them and kept walking.
The young Chinese man also noticed the large number of Youkai in the area, far more than he expected. It was as if he were in some kind of tourist attraction.
Although this was his first time in Youkai territory, everything around him felt like he had traveled back in time to Japan's Edo Period. Popular fashion, building structures, and architecture.
"Yeah, they do, and what about it?"
"You seem to be important to them. Like a celebrity."
"It's not like I really care. If you want, take a look to your right."
"Your right…?" Cao Cao said as he turned to the right and, upon doing so, was shocked by what he saw.
There stood a large golden statue of Alexandre, holding his Holy Sword Arondight in his right hand and the Demonic Sword Gram in his left.
Cao Cao's eyes were wide. He ran toward the statue to inspect it, to make sure his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. There was a plaque that read:
*'Alexandre Ikuse, Hero of the Youkai Faction.'*
"T-T-This is… N-N-No way it's REAL! YOU'RE KIDDING!" Cao Cao shouted, drawing the attention of many. Alex slowly approached him.
"Calm down, you're making a scene, but yes, it's real. Believe it or not. Honestly, I asked them not to make it, but they insisted."
"W-W-What happened and when?" he said in a calmer voice.
"I stopped an evil person from destroying the Youkai Faction and saved the daughter of the Youkai leader about… three years ago. But that's all in the past."
Cao Cao was speechless. He fell silent, processing the information.
[*In my opinion, this only serves to inflate Alex's ego,*] Albion grumbled.
"Which is already quite large, by the way," Regulus huffed.
"Your opinions are unnecessary."
[*Oh, please, Alex, you came here because of that Youkai's request. Otherwise, you wouldn't even have come,*] Albion mocked. [*When there's a woman involved, you stop thinking with your brain.*]
"If I'm going to be a slave to something, let it be pussy."
"I really didn't need to hear that…"
[*Regardless of the moment, when it comes to the women he knows, Alex always thinks with his other head,*] Albion huffed.
"Shut up, celestial lizard. You probably rummage through my memories to read the *Icha Icha* series when you're bored!"
[*…*]
"It's true! The great White Dragon Emperor is a closet pervert!" Alex shouted in his mind, laughing.
[*Shut up! It's not like you have anything else in that empty brain of yours to entertain me,*] Albion huffed, clearly trying to spare himself further embarrassment.
Regulus wisely stayed silent, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire.
While Alex argued with his two tenants and continued on his way, Cao Cao was still reflecting on what he had discovered.
His adoptive brother, who always did everything to come out on top, cheating and stealing, had been altruistic enough to help an entire faction.
That was something he didn't expect.

.
.
"Well, we're here," Alex said as they arrived outside a beautiful house, slightly larger than average, located in a somewhat secluded area.
A path far from the public, almost like private property. Entering through the front door, they were greeted by a large living room.
"Nice," Cao Cao murmured as he examined the furniture and assorted items around the house.
"Hello? Anyone home?" Alexandre shouted, and not a second later, small footsteps were heard running toward them.
"NII-CHAN!" a voice shouted as Alex felt someone jump onto him and hug him, arms wrapping tightly around his arms and waist. He looked down and noticed a familiar blonde girl, who looked about 11 years old, with a pair of fox ears and wearing a priestess outfit.
"Hey, Kunou," he grumbled as he felt the hug tighten even more.
"You're back!" she said, nuzzling her face into his stomach.
"Ara, Alex-kun~" another voice said, coming from a beautiful blonde woman who had just entered, looking like an older version of the young girl hugging Alex.
She was a woman with a voluptuous figure and very long blonde hair with matching eyes. She had delicate facial features, and her eyebrows were cut very short and rounded, a symbol of nobility. Her hair was tied in a loose ponytail, reaching down to her legs, ending in a spiral, with bandages stretched to keep it in place.
Her outfit consisted of a yellow kimono, a golden obi, and she wore a black pelt with golden skulls and lines printed on it. The kimono had a white interior and was open at the shoulders, revealing her enormous breasts. Her hair was held by a traditional hairpiece, with six golden bira kanzashi and several red kanzashi.
*Alex made a concentrated effort NOT to look down her kimono, not that the kimono did much to hide her chest to begin with.*
"How's it going?" Alexandre said, struggling to breathe under the tight hug.
"Okay, Kunou, I think that's enough," the woman said.
"Mom~ But I don't want to…" Kunou pouted.
"K-Kunou… please…" Alex pleaded, and after a moment, Kunou reluctantly let go, stepping aside. Alex gasped in a crouched position, hands on his knees.
"It's great to see you again, Alex. You haven't changed a bit," the woman said as she approached, standing right in front of him.
"It's only been two years, but yeah, good to see you too, Yasaka," he said, standing at his full height.
Yes, the two before him were Yasaka, the leader of the Youkai Faction, and her daughter, Kunou.
Kunou then noticed Cao Cao. "Nii-chan, who's he?" Kunou pointed.
Alex's golden eyes turned to his disciple, and he saw a surprising sight.
Cao Cao's face was slightly flushed, his eyes staring at the Youkai leader's enormous breasts.
A mischievous smile crossed Alex's lips. Who would've thought the young man who always complained about his perversions would be in this state?
Well, Alex couldn't blame the kid. If a man saw Yasaka and didn't react like that, Alex could seriously think he wasn't a 'man' at all.
"This is Cao Cao. He's like a younger brother to me."
Alex introduced the young man, who gave a slight bow, and Yasaka offered a gentle smile.
Yasaka then turned her attention back to Alex.
"Say~ How about we make up for lost time~? Just you and me~" she purred, placing a finger on the young man's chest.
"As tempting as that sounds, I'll have to decline that offer," Alex replied, making Yasaka pout in response. "You called me here for a reason, something that seemed urgent, so I'd like to know what it is."
The Queen of the Youkai's expression turned serious as she nodded.
"Then, if you'll follow me," Yasaka beckoned, turning slightly to Kunou. "Wait here, Kunou. I'll be right back."
The young Youkai nodded cheerfully, waving to Alex, who followed Yasaka to another location, with Cao Cao trailing behind.
They slowly arrived at a large, hidden shrine and entered it.
Despite its simpler exterior, the shrine's interior was breathtakingly beautiful. Every detail seemed crafted with extreme care and dedication. Even Cao Cao, who usually didn't care about such things, found himself fascinated.
"It's not actually me who wants to talk to you."
Hearing Yasaka's words, Alex looked toward the center of the temple, specifically at the figure standing there.
A slight smile formed on his lips.
"Of all the things I could have imagined, it never occurred to me that *you* would call for me."
"You can be sure I really wouldn't want to."
A figure sat at the center of the shrine, a beautiful woman with a voluptuous figure that could rival Yasaka's.
She had shining amethyst purple eyes and long pink hair tied at the end. She also had fox ears, though notably, she lacked a tail.
She wore a unique and stylized variation of clothing inspired by the colors of a traditional shrine priestess's attire. She adorned a golden headpiece accompanied by matching golden earrings.
The right earring was wrapped in a complex teardrop-shaped piece, decorated with a small fan-shaped accessory at the bottom. The earrings were attached to her ears with diamond-shaped studs.
*'The earrings are attached to her ears with diamond-shaped studs.'*
"Your appearance is different from the last time I saw you."
Alex commented with a smile. The appearance of this beautiful woman was different from the one he met three years ago.
But he didn't expect anything else. For an existence like her, who had multiple Avatars, taking the form of one to come to Earth was common.
"Obviously, I certainly wouldn't want those lecherous eyes of yours to taint my appearance like they did years ago. That was an absolute mistake."
The woman's voice was cold and full of disdain as her amethyst eyes focused on the White Dragon.
"I'd like to say it's a pleasure to see you again, Alexandre Ikuse, but I'd be lying. I truly wish I'd never have to see that miserable face of yours for the rest of my life."
Her amethyst eyes were filled with a coldness that sent a shiver down Cao Cao's spine, even though the gaze was directed at Alexandre, who maintained his usual smile.
Eyes filled with coldness, or perhaps, a fury capable of incinerating the depths of hell.
Even as the target of all that fury, Alexandre Ikuse kept a smile on his face as he gave a slight bow.
"While for me, it's an honor to behold your beauty once again, Lady Amaterasu."
Cao Cao's eyes widened upon learning the identity of the woman before him.
The strongest Goddess of the Japanese Pantheon and the Chief Goddess of Shintoism, the Sun Goddess.
Amaterasu.
