Chapter 26 The Nature of the Dragon
Outside the Elf City.
Altria turned back to look at the city hidden in the mist behind her, forcibly suppressing a certain impulse in her heart. She turned her horse around and, together with Bedivere, headed to Oakney.
As the two gradually moved away, Luo En turned his head to look at the Meiluxin beside him:
"Tell me, why are you the only one here, where are Morgan and the others?"
According to the original plan, he was responsible for teaching the Incarnation of Goddess Danu—King Arthur, Altria, enabling her to develop a soul with complete emotion and reason; the Morgan Sisters were in charge of maintaining the ceremony and finding the reincarnations of the Danu Gods, guiding them to join the Round Table Knight Order, laying a complete Divine Business for Goddess Danu.
However, years had passed in a flash. His training of Altria saw some initial results, yet there was still no sign of the Morgan Sisters pushing the plan forward.
In fact, the whole situation in Britain was starting to deteriorate, with an ominous sense of an approaching apocalypse.
"Some problems have arisen..."
Meiluxin stepped forward, explaining the situation truthfully.
The plan went smoothly at first.
The spirituality archived by the Danu Gods was reshaped under the operation of the ceremony, reincarnated with new identities into this carefully orchestrated Divine Business.
However, as more Danu Gods left the Inner Sea of Stars and were reborn, a problem emerged at the core: Avalon Island.
The Calamity's power accumulated underground in Britain lost the Divinity suppression of the Danu Gods and was accelerating in its revival, growing stronger.
It even reached a point where it required the combined efforts of the Three Lake Fairies to barely control it.
For this reason, Morgan and the others had to temporarily shelve the original plan, leading the Six Great Fairy Clans and the remaining two Elf Knights into the Ideal Land Avalon, striving to suppress the restless power of the Calamity deep within the earth veins.
Moreover, to ensure the ceremony proceeded smoothly, the strongest of the three Fairy Knights, Meiluxin, was assigned to step out of the lake connecting the Ideal Land, assuming the identity of "Lancelot" to arrive in the Northern Realm, replacing the Morgan Sisters, seeking the newly reborn Danu Gods, and recruiting them to their side to assist King Arthur, Altria, in completing this Divine Business trial.
After listening, Luo En couldn't help but frown:
"Has Britain's Calamity grown to such an extent?"
"Very strong, I'm afraid only the return of the Great Mother Goddess can handle it!"
Meiluxin answered seriously, a deep dread showing on her small face.
Contrary to what was imagined, Vortigern is not just the leftover of Albion but a doomsday monster nurtured by all the Calamity forces on Britain Island.
As a "Holy Land" celebrated by many Divine Era heroes, Britain experienced more than four Great Invasions.
Which means, beneath this land lies the Divinity remnants of at least four Divine Era civilizations, calling it a "graveyard of the Divine Era" wouldn't be an exaggeration.
The previous Orlog campaign and the recreation of the Kabbalah Tree of Life indeed helped the Celtic Divine Era weather the storm and continue smoothly.
But that Calamity force had long entangled with the entire Celtic Divine Era and hadn't been entirely purified.
With the resurrection of the Danu Gods and Goddess Danu, the self-cleansing capability of the Celtic Divine Era was weakened to the extreme, causing the Calamity buried in the earth veins to erupt, giving birth to Vortigern, a monster symbolizing apocalypse and destruction.
"This is a bit troublesome now."
Luo En massaged his temples, somewhat troubled.
With his abilities, he could indeed deal with Vortigern.
But the premise is that he needs to break free from here and return to reality.
And this would mean Altria's Divine Business trial would come to an end.
All the previous efforts with the Morgan Sisters would be in vain.
Worse yet, it may cause irreversible soul damage to the Danu Gods and Altria.
Perhaps, considering this, the Morgan Sisters didn't inform him of these anomalies but chose to stay on Avalon Island, suppressing the Calamity power in the earth veins, delaying the development of Vortigern, hoping Altria could grow before the disaster becomes uncontrollable.
But judging from the results, the combined power of the Morgan Sisters and the Six Great Fairy Clans was already clearly barely able to suppress Vortigern in the earth veins.
"Don't worry, the Four Thrones have already appeared, as long as we gather them, we can soon reshape the Divine Business for the Mother Goddess!"
Meiluxin spoke to comfort.
Luo En listened, pondering:
"So, Gao Wen is the Third Throne?"
In this Secret Ceremony, the Round Table Knights mostly have corresponding Danu God identities.
Among them, the one-armed Bedivere correlates to the First Throne—Silver Hand Nuada;
The Fourth Beast Kaseparuge inherited the power of the Beast God Cornus, corresponding to the Fourth Throne;
And the Third Throne's Sun God Lugh naturally was manifested in the Sun Knight Gao Wen.
According to legend, Gao Wen's power changes with the rise and fall of the Sun. At noon, his power triples, while it weakens as the sun sets. In truth, these Celtic elements do not originate from Wales and England but are deeply rooted in Ireland's cultural soil.
Gao Wen correlates with the image of the Sun God Lugh.
Thus, some believe that the Sun God Lugh is precisely the prototype of the Sun Knight Gao Wen.
Meiluxin nodded, saying:
"Correct, he is indeed the third person we're looking for. But that guy is quite stubborn and naturally conflicts with elves, always opposing me."
