The Greece Antagonist

Chapter 210: Your Wife is in My Hands!

The once dull and deadly silent Elysian Fields were now bustling with exceptional liveliness.

One after another, the Tribe of Dream Spirits, with black wings on their backs, transformed into various forms—be it human, object, or beast—and searched frantically across the plain blooming with Netherworld daffodils inch by inch.

At the forefront, the three great dream gods, "The Shaper" Morpheus, "The Illusionist" Phantasos, and "The Terrifier" Phobetor, all sported bruised faces and tattered clothes, while suspiciously scanning their surroundings with paranoid glances.

At the slightest rustle, they couldn't help but instinctively huddle back-to-back, summoning their respective Divine Artifacts, as if facing a formidable enemy.

Clearly, this was a stress reaction after having been brutally beaten.

When they realized this was yet another false alarm, a whirlwind of panic over nothing, the three cast embarrassed looks at each other, slightly distancing themselves, and mentally cursed a certain Netherworld recidivist to hell and back.

At first, "The Shaper" Morpheus and "The Illusionist" Phantasos, who had rushed to the scene upon hearing the commotion, mocked "The Terrifier" Phobetor intensely for his disheveled state.

However, it wasn't long before the two overconfident dream gods faced the same fate as their brother.

And even as they began to be more cautious, they still couldn't escape the destiny of being battered and bruised.

The bastard not only fought ruthlessly, but his heart was even darker. As soon as there were more of them, he'd run; when they spread out to follow, he'd turn back and single out whoever was alone for a savage beating.

As a result, the leading three dream gods didn't dare to split their forces, and could only stick together, searching every part of the daffodil plain joint by joint.

Although this primitive method greatly slowed down their search, the strategy of advancing layer by layer was gradually narrowing the suspicious area, cornering that slippery eel into a limited zone of movement.

And this time, it wasn't going to be so easy for him to escape.

The three dream gods looked back at the God of Sleep, Hypnos, who floated in the air behind them, calming their hearts, and continued to wave their hands, signaling for the three thousand Tribes of Dream Spirits to inspect the last suspicious area.

Right then, Luo En and his two companions, concealed in the tall grass by magic of disguise, cursed under their breath as they saw the encroaching forces from all sides closing in.

Infamous twins of the Netherworld, they picked on the weak and even brought along all of their Tribe of Dream Spirits for an overpowering onslaught. It truly was a bit excessive.

"What do we do now?"

Thetis stopped casting her enhancement-class healing magic, glanced at Luo En, and then her gaze involuntarily shifted behind them.

Having been with them all this way, shouldn't a certain friend shine and radiate a bit?

Sisyphus, alertly observing his surroundings, suddenly felt an inexplicable chill.

"It's not time yet…"

Luo En shook his head, stopping Thetis from any thoughts of betraying their companion.

They had only just arrived at the Elysian Fields and still had no idea where Adonis was.

If they were too hasty in throwing out their trump card, there would be nothing left to use if they encountered an even more critical situation later on.

Then, he glanced at the Dream Spirits approaching their hiding spot and at the three great dream gods and Hypnos, who were monitoring every movement in the area, and quietly clenched the Spear of Nation-Creation in his hand, his mind racing.

Hypnos, as one of the twins of the Netherworld with a record of lulling Zeus to sleep, had combat power that ranked alongside several of the less valiant chief gods of Olympus.

In a direct fight, Luo En wasn't sure he could win.

But just because he couldn't handle Hypnos didn't mean everyone on the field was a Hypnos.

To Luo En, both the three dream gods and the other Dream Spirits were merely superior soldiers and fodder. As long as he wasn't caught up, he could easily break through this group's blockade.

Having made up his mind, divine power surged within Luo En, as the might of the "Bull," the destruction capacity of the "Wild Boar," combined with the "Goat's" Divine Speed, suddenly activated in his body.

The tidal wave of surging Authority roared, awakening an astonishing evil beast, and with a formidable presence, charged straight towards "The Terrifier" Phobetor.

As the monstrous shadow rapidly expanded before his eyes, Phobetor, who bore the brunt, felt his scalp tingle with dread and fury.

Fuck, why is it always me?

If Luo En could hear him at this moment, he would certainly explain.

Can't help it, you gotta squeeze the softest persimmon; you guys taught that, right?

"Stop them!"

Seeing that there was no escape, Phobetor roared angrily, leading his Tribe of Dream Spirits into the fray.

And then…

Then, he and over a thousand Dream Spirits were scattered to the winds, created a spectacle in the sky.

But at the same time, Hypnos also reacted, leading the other two dream gods as they converged towards the center.

"Run!"

However, Luo En had no intention of sticking around for a fight. He decisively grabbed Thetis and Sisyphus and burst through the torn gap.

He had come to get things done, not to have a drawn-out battle with all the gods of the Netherworld.

As long as they could break out successfully, it would be a victory!

Another fruitless attempt by Hypnos, but his face showed no signs of anger as he placated his dream spirit subordinates, covered in dust and dirt.

"Don't worry, they can't escape..."

~~

Several hours later, Luo En raised his head from the underbrush, looking up at the pale purple sky and the dense phosphorescence floating around, feeling a headache coming on.

—Dreamland.

The barrier jointly cast by the God of Sleep, Hypnos, and the three thousand dream spirits, could blur reality and illusion, pulling beings into a dream or eternal sleep, manipulating them at will.

With the protection of his sixth incarnation, "Flame," Luo En could fend off the relentless drowsiness attacking himself and his two comrades, but he couldn't escape the daffodil plains shrouded in "Dreamland."

So, although he had successfully broken out, he was still running for his life.

Deities capable of influencing Zeus, indeed, were not so easily dealt with.

I miscalculated...

Luo En, slightly annoyed, tapped his forehead, dispersing the grogginess surfacing in his mind, then turned his head to look somberly at Sisyphus nearby.

Or what if...

"Achoo!"

Right amidst his yawning, the son of the wind god jerked awake, his sleepiness gone, and he sneezed loudly.

Oh well, oh well, if facing Hypnos requires pulling out the trump card, what then if we encounter the stronger Hades, the God of the Underworld, or my master Hecate later on? How would we continue to play our hand?

Luo En shook his head, quelling the impulse to betray his comrade, and tried to recover his depleted divine power.

After a series of high-intensity fights, even having used three overlapping authorities at once, his divine power was nearly spent.

At that moment, Thetis was also casting healing and restorative magic, working hard to replenish health and mana for the big daddy of their trio.

Sisyphus, who was good at running away but practically useless in output, consciously stood guard outside, playing the role of a lookout.

However, the unrelenting Netherworld army clearly wouldn't give them the chance to slowly recover.

Less than half an hour later, Sisyphus sensed Hypnos leading the three great dream gods, tracking them down from afar.

"Quick, they've caught up!"

As Sisyphus hastily sounded the alarm, one Horn Gate after another opened in the pale purple sky. Armored dream spirits, wielding swords, shields, bows, and spears, came forth in single file, filling the surrounding space.

Legend has it that Dreamland has two gates: the dreams that come from the Ivory Gate are false, while those from the Horn Gate are real.

Clearly, to round up Luo En, the lone elite adversary on the run, the entire force of Dreamland had been deployed.

While inwardly cursing the stubborn God of Sleep, Luo En's eyes flickered resolutely.

If he wasn't mistaken, Hypnos's future legitimate wife was one of The Three Graces.

At the time, during the most brutal stage of the war at Troy, the Goddess Hera, in order to help the Greeks, had commanded Hypnos to put Zeus to sleep. Initially, Hypnos dared not put the Chief God under his spell. Hera thus promised that, upon success, she would give him a young Grace as a wife. Hypnos then complied with Hera's order.

In the end, after suffering a beating from Zeus, Hypnos won himself a beautiful bride.

Fine, fine, fine, you want to go head-to-head with me? Looking at the approaching army from Dreamland, Luo En rallied his somewhat listless spirit, preparing to break out once again while grinding his teeth and secretly sending Hypnos a special blessing from Crete Island.

—One of The Three Graces, huh? Say goodbye to your future wife!

"Buzz!"

Just then, a muffled rumble came from beneath Luo En, and three figures tumbled into a dark crevice.

Following that, the earth shifted, the fissure closed up, and even the broken plants regrew, restoring everything to its original state.

The arrival of the dream spirits thereafter passed over that patch of grassland unsuspectively, pressing forward.

Everything appeared as though nothing had happened.

~~

Meanwhile, in a pitch-black underground passageway, Luo En stood alert, brandishing his spear toward a turn ahead.

"Who's there? Show yourself!"

"No... don't be afraid... it's... it's me..."

Accompanying the hesitant, muffled voice, a large figure with black bull horns and rippling muscles, dragging a long-handled battle ax, emerged from the gloom, its beast-like crimson eyes staring down at the ground, revealing an embarrassment akin to a child in the presence of an adult.

Seeing the figure that emerged before him, Luo En was taken aback for a moment and called out the other's name.

"Asterius?"
