Chapter 5: Plagiarize
Bird was teaching Mushpuff how to fly the rock spaceship so he could take breaks every now and then when suddenly there was a knock at the door.
“How very peculiar,” said Mushpuff.
“Indeed,” said Bird, who walked over to the door and opened it. Outside was a human riding a horse which was riding some sort of contraption that looked like a magic glowy snowboard thing but had boosters on the back and some cogs because cogs = fun.
“Um?” Bird said.
“Hi,” said the human, who had a long beard and luscious blue eyes and looked to be about 30 years old.
“Who?” asked Bird.
“My name is Plagiarize,” said Plagiarize the human.
“How are you here, yo? And why?”
“Well I was stranded on Bear Stone Planet and saw you crash so I was going to meet you there but then you were running past and being chased by bear so I decided it was not such a great idea. But then the door shut and I couldn’t get in so I just climbed onto the side of the ship. Then it took off.”
“Okay, okay, okay,” said Bird. “But how did you get here?”
“That’s quite a long story, but may I enter your ship to tell it? Because I am kinda running low on oxygen.”
Bird let Plagiarize in and Mushpuff stopped the spaceship (it was still moving). The three of them went into the living room to hear the story Plagiarize supposedly had and which was supposedly long.
“It all began long ago,” began Plagiarize, “when I was born on the planet of Earth. When I was in school I would always plagiarize things and fail every assignment so people would call me Plagiarize. They called me that so much that my original name was forgotten. Even the government forgot it. Even my parents. It’s tragic, I know. I became very poor due to failing school from plagiarizing too much and I had a very bad reputation so nobody would hire me. I lived on the streets. Then one day I was sad and depressed and stuff so I stole a space horse and ran away into space. Then I got lost for about 10 years. The end.”
“That’s just tragic, yo,” said Bird. “But I have a once in a lifetime offer for you.”
“What is it?”
“Come with us on our quest and we will bring you back home.”
“I don’t wanna go back to Earth, it sucks,” said Plagiarize, whose opinions were very agreeable.
“Okay then just join us because our journey will probably be more fun than your pathetic life,” said Mushpuff. “It sure is better than my life was before!”
“Alright, I will join you,” said Plagiarize. “What’s the quest about though?”
Bird then explained the whole thing over again, but this time with the more recent part about the rock planet and the bear pit. And that is how Plagiarize came to be the third member of their team. Now they set off for Pig Planet, being followed by absolutely no bears whatsoever.
