The Great Adventure

When the lizard shot at the gang and nearly missed Qaeron, the bear did an epic body flop move, jumping down off the stairs and landing on the lizard, causing the lizard to die under Qaeron’s immense weight.

“SMH Qaeron, now we’re never going to make it out of this hole with you before the door at the top closes,” said Klumpkrump.

“Mmmm, friends muzt come down, yez?” suggested Qaeron. “I have an idea, hmmm, an idea, yez?”

The rest of the gang jumped down the stairs all the way to the floor (they had actually ascended only about 3 steps). Gumpton caused the entire place to shake upon landing.

“Mmmm, come here, yez?” said Qaeron to Klumpkrump.

Klumpkrump walked towards Qaeron and he picked her up without warning and threw her towards the top of the hole. She went over the top and out of sight, barely missing the still-closing door.

Qaeron then threw Mushpuff, Bird, and Snorter. But then something terrible happened!!! Two things actually!! The door…CLOSED! AND!!!! More lizards arrived…WITH BOWS!!!

“It sure would be nice to have that Energy Cube right about now,” said Plagiarize.

“Throw me at ‘em, bear!!” said Hoofa, hopping off Gumpton. Qaeron picked her up and launched her at the lizards, knocking a few of them down like bowling pins.

“Surrender,” said one of the lizards. “or we kill. We will give you to bears.”

“What is a ‘zurrender’, hmmm?” asked Qaeron.

“Surrender. You give up. We do what we want with you.”

“Uhhhhh…” contemplated Plagiarize. “Well I guess maybe we might consider that.”

At that exact moment, an energy laser from above zapped down and vaporized a couple of lizards. The rest of the lizards tried to run but the energy laser followed them.

Upon looking up, Plagiarize, Hoofa, Gumpton, and Qaeron saw that the laser had melted through the metal of the door at the top of the staircase. And the source of the laser was none other than the Energy Cube which Klumpkrump had taken out from their ship.

“Hey guys!” shouted Klumpkrump from the top of the hole, waving the Energy Cube around in the air. “This cube sure is usefu--OH NO I DROPPED IT!”

Klumpkrump had indeed dropped the Energy Cube through the hole in the door that she made using its laser. However, since she was near the edge of the door, the cube landed near the top of the stairs. Furthermore, the hole she cut was super hot and she’d die if she tried to go through it. FurtherFURTHERmore, more lizards quickly arrived on the scene after seeing Klumpkrump drop the cube.

“Get the cube!” shouted one of the lizards. Just like that, Plagiarize, Qaeron, and the group of lizards started running towards the top of the staircase. Of course, since the human and the bear were closer to the staircase, they had a headstart, but not by much. The lizards soon overtook them on the stairs and pushed both of them off, where they fell a staggering 1.2 meters.

Hoofa, meanwhile, was riding Gumpton as he attempted to reach up and grab a section of the staircase higher up to get ahead of the lizards. The staircase broke because of the intense weight of Gumpton, stopping the lizards in their path (they were just about to pass that part of the stairs).

“Launch me, Gumpton!” said Hoofa. Gumpton grabbed her in his trunk and launched her about a quarter of the way up the hole, where she landed on an upper part of the staircase.

“Quick, Hoofa!” shouted Plagiarize from the bottom. “The lizards can jump!” The lizards were indeed jumping over the crumbled section of the stairs that Gumpton destroyed, and even though Hoofa had a great headstart, those lizards were FAST!

“Mmmm, bear bowling!” said Qaeron to Gumpton. Plagiarize was confused but Gumpton understood perfectly. The elephant picked up the bear in his trunk and threw him at the lizards on the stairs. He missed completely and Qaeron splatted into the wall. Luckily, he was ahead of where the lizards were, and not behind them. Qaeron quickly got to his feet and threw himself at the lizards before they could draw their bows. The lizards, however, simply made a clearing, causing Qaeron to fall flat on his face.

“I’m the last chance!” said Plagiarize to Gumpton. “Launch me at em!”

Gumpton picked up Plagiarize and since he weighed less than a bear, the elephant was able to throw him with more accuracy at the lizards on the stairs. He still missed, but not as terribly.

Plagiarize kicked the lizard in the front, causing him to fall down to the ground. He punched the second lizard, sending him falling too. By then, though, the rest of the lizards had drawn their bows and were aiming at Plagiarize. Plagiarize grabbed the next lizard and leaped off the stairs with him. Gumpton caught Plagiarize, but the lizard splatted on the floor.

By this point, Hoofa was about halfway up the staircase. Plagiarize and Qaeron managed to slow down the lizards by quite a lot, but they were still climbing the stairs fast.

The rest of the ascent was very intense. Hoofa got higher and higher and the lizards got closer and closer!!! Hoofa finally reached the final ring of the spiral staircase, and as she did, the lizards reached her and shoved her off the staircase!! Luckily, Gumpton was ready and waiting to catch any falling object unless it was a lizard, so he caught Hoofa… but that wasn’t the problem (obviously, duh!)! The lizards now had the cube!!
