Chapter 18
"Should I thank you?"
"I don't mind."
The four of them staggered towards the hospital wing, reported to Madam Pomfrey, the goddess who controlled the hospital wing at Hogwarts, and walked into Setos's ward.
He was the only one inside, but the bedside table was densely packed with various gifts.
Looking at Setos himself, he was wrapped tightly with bandages, except for two eyes and two holes on his face for breathing.
"Hello, Setos." Thorne waved at him.
The latter immediately began to tremble and made a humming sound.
"Quiet... Quiet, I'm not here to seek revenge this time, really not, you believe me!"
Setos still made all kinds of ghost cries that didn't sound like human voices regardless of anything.
"Try to scream again!" Thorne suddenly threatened.
"......"
"Huh...finally quiet down. Anyway, I came here this time to convey Dumbledore's ruling on our conflict. I apologize to you. Similarly, when you recover, you have to apologize to Crabbe and Goyle. Did you hear me?"
"Hmmmm!!!"
"Good to hear." Thorne nodded, took two steps back and bowed gently to Setes. After straightening up, he said in a rhythmic tone: "Mr. Setes, I sincerely hope to get your forgiveness. May I ask?"
"Hmmmm!"
"Is this forgiveness?"
"Hmm!"
"Retreat."
The four people tactically withdrew from Madam Pomfrey's territory. They couldn't have lunch, and the two of them were too lazy to eat dinner, and they didn't dare to ask Goyle and Crabbe to help bring food.
If they dared to grab food from Setes' plate this time, they might grab it from Dumbledore's plate next time.
"Just be hungry for a while."
"Well, you won't be hungry when you fall asleep."
The next day...
After a morning of classes, Thorne stood in front of the Slytherin resting door. It wasn't a low-level mistake like forgetting the password, but he always felt that he had forgotten something...
It wasn't until five o'clock in the afternoon that he woke up suddenly while playing wizard chess with Draco.
Yesterday he seemed to have agreed to go to the library with Hermione without thinking.
"Hiss..."
"What's wrong with you?" Draco asked.
"I suddenly remembered something, I have to go there." Thorne threw Draco, who had just placed the chess pieces, and rushed out of the lounge quickly.
"..." Draco looked at the chess pieces he had finally placed and couldn't stop talking to him, and suddenly felt depressed. He waved his hand to sweep them to the ground and followed quietly.
Here, Thorne ran straight from the lounge to another copy of Hogwarts, the library. There was also the evil god of Hogwarts, Madam Pince, who was in charge of the library. She liked quietness and hated disputes and noise. If anyone dared to offend her, something terrible would happen.
Thorne tiptoed into the library and looked around. Sure enough, he saw a little girl with fluffy hair lying there reading a book.
Seeing this, he walked over quietly, trying not to disturb anyone, until he sat down opposite Hermione and found a book "Advanced Spells" from the bookshelf and started reading.
After nearly ten minutes, Hermione closed the book and was about to change another one on the bookshelf, but she happened to see Thorne sitting opposite.
"You are late!" She said angrily.
"It's okay. I arrived two hours ago, but I didn't have the heart to disturb you because you were reading so seriously." Thorne spread his hands and said with a stiff face.
"An hour late is still late!" Hermione seemed to be confused by him, but she still said unhappily.
"This is indeed my fault, I apologize." Thorne said with a smile.
"........Okay, you have been waiting for me here for so long anyway, just forgive me..."
Behind the bookshelf, a flash of golden hair passed by.
Time passed, and in the blink of an eye, the library was about to close. Madam Pince also came over and urged the two little wizards who loved learning to leave quickly.
"Okay, let's say goodbye here. By the way, there is a flying class tomorrow, do you know?" Hermione asked Thorne while holding a big book.
"I know, what's wrong?" Thorne asked.
"You know, my parents are not wizards, and I have never touched a flying broom before. Do you know that kind of thing?" Hermione said with embarrassment.
"This matter, I am not much different from you, and you can't do everything perfectly. Just think about how tiring it is to do the best in all subjects." Thorne comforted.
"But I still want to do my best within my ability. "
"Why?" Thorne asked.
"What?"
"I said, why do you want to do your best within your ability? There must be a reason."
"I don't want my classmates to look down on me, that should be the reason." Hermione thought for a while and finally answered.
"Oh my God, I know about your average 20 points a day in Gryffindor in Slytherin. Do you still think they will look down on you? I can only say... You may be a little inferior because you suddenly came to a strange magic world? Even if most of them are not as good as you." Thorne said.
"It's different."
"Well, maybe, I don't see what's different." Thorne shrugged and said.
"It's very different. Ron Weasley said that you are from the Black family. Even if you don't learn anything, you will have a large amount of property waiting for you after graduation. I'm different. I have lost everything in the Muggle world. There is no one behind me. If I don't study hard, what should I do after graduation? "Hermione asked back.
"I'm not as relaxed as you say."
"Maybe, anyway... I won't rest, I'll keep working hard."
"Bless you."
Thorn stretched his body after returning to the dormitory and felt that the atmosphere was a little wrong. The room was much quieter than before. Usually at this time, not to mention Goyle and Crabbe were still shouting there, even Draco didn't sleep at this time, but kept curling up on his bed.
But today... it was too quiet.
"Draco? Go to bed so early?" Thorne came to Draco's bed and pulled open his bed curtain and asked softly.
"Hmm!" The latter just snorted, and pulled the bed curtain back with one hand.
"Hmm?" Thorne was confused, and pulled the bed curtain back again, and probed Draco's forehead with the back of his hand.
"You don't have a fever, go to bed so early? Are you feeling unwell?" Thorne asked with a frown.
