Chapter 14
"Hello, Dumbledore, have you missed me after not seeing me for a day?" Thorne walked into the principal's office and shouted to Dumbledore who was sitting in the principal's seat.
"I'm fine, what's the matter? Didn't eat enough at the dinner, so you brought your friends to my place to ask for money? And you, come in, Mr. Malfoy." Dumbledore said with a smile.
"It would be great if you have it, but it's okay if you don't. We'll go to the kitchen to get some midnight snacks later." Thorne said, picking up a piece of jackfruit from the desk and throwing it into his mouth.
"You still know the way to the kitchen?" Dumbledore said in surprise.
"These are all the wisdom left by our predecessors. There is a book that describes how to enter the kitchen." Thorne came out with his luggage. Seeing this, Draco wanted to help, but was declined by Thorne.
"I'll use levitation for these things later. Go and get the dish of candied fruit on the table."
"This is not good." Draco said a little embarrassedly.
"It's okay, just trust me." After walking out of the corridor of the principal's office tower, Thorne casually let go of his hand, and the luggage floated in the air.
"Amazing, how did you do it? I didn't hear you chanting a spell." Draco said in shock.
"Practice makes perfect."
"Huh?" Draco was still confused.
Then Thorne demonstrated to Draco how the wand grew out of his palm.
Draco: "Ward hair?"
"Flesh magic doesn't need a wand either, the principles are similar, just like your first magic riot, you only need to have this idea to do it, but some people don't believe they can do it because of their weak magic power. Some people have strong magic power and slowly cultivate their own confidence, and finally make magic as easy as waving their arms." Thorne explained.
"You mean, I just need to believe in myself?" Draco asked.
"Almost, but we have to start with something simple."
"Oh..."
After returning to the dormitory, the two put away their luggage and washed up and went to bed, but they found something wrong halfway through their sleep.
"Just go to bed, why is there still background noise?" Thorne sat up from the bed and murmured.
"It's the snoring of those two guys..." Draco's languid voice came from the bed next to him.
"It's bitter..."
Finally, Thorne couldn't stand it anymore and summoned his wand and got out of bed. He directly cast soundproof nodules on Crabbe and Goyle's beds, and the room finally quieted down.
But after a while, he sat up again.
"......Draco, are you practicing magic somewhere?"
"Yes." Draco's voice came faintly.
"......" Thorne resisted the urge to go down and PK with Draco in person, and cast a soundproof spell on Draco's bed.
As for why he didn't cast a spell directly on his own bed...
No one could stop him from sleeping at night listening to the sound of bubbles outside, not even Dumbledore!
The next day...
The four of them walked into the Charms classroom in high spirits, especially Draco, who didn't seem to have been waving his wand all night yesterday.
This class was taught by a Gryffindor classmate, perhaps out of some kind of bad taste. After all, the entire wizarding world knew that the two schools didn't get along, but it was just a coincidence that many courses arranged the two schools together, but in fact, whether this was a coincidence or not...
Who knows?
"We are learning a very, very simple spell, the Levitation Spell, the spell is..."
Thorne listened to Professor Flitwick's explanation at first, and slowly, he felt his thoughts becoming more and more confused and unclear. He attributed it to the fact that he didn't sleep well yesterday, and of course it might be that the professor's voice was a little too bland.
Of course, the most important reason was that he had already mastered this spell, and Professor Flitwick's second explanation obviously could not arouse his curiosity.
Just like that..............
"Thorne Black!"
Thorn Black, who was immersed in his dream, was suddenly awakened by this loud shout. He looked up and saw Professor Flitwick, who was furious.
"Come up and demonstrate how the levitation spell works!" Professor Flitwick said, jumping down from the pile of books he used as a footstool, and gave the podium to Thorne.
"OK..." Thorne rubbed his sleepy head and walked up to the podium. He looked down. Most of the Slytherins were watching coldly. Draco was writing something on the table, not looking worried at all. The Gryffindors on the other side were in another scene, all smiling.
Oh, except for a girl with fluffy hair, she stood up the book with the spell of the levitation spell on it, and specially wrote the word "floating" on it.The details of the sound.
"Please demonstrate, Mr. Black." Professor Flitwick standing under the podium said.
"Okay, Professor Flitwick." Thorne put his hand into his pocket, and the wand naturally appeared under the cover of the pocket. He waved the wand casually, and he was too lazy to even recite the spell. The solid wooden podium in front of him, which weighed at least 50 kilograms, floated up incredibly.
This scene surprised the two waves of young wizards in the audience. The difference was that Slytherin had already blushed with excitement, while Gryffindor was confused. The difference was still Hermione.
Although her expression was also confused, the deeper meaning was easy to understand.
She couldn't understand why Thorne's casting gesture was completely wrong. It seemed that he was waving it randomly without any rules, and the spell didn't even say the end of the sound change.
She didn't understand why he could successfully cast magic like this, while she followed Professor Flitwick's teaching step by step, and almost failed.
Professor Flitwick nodded slightly at first, then became even more angry. He preached to Thorne: "You have a good talent! But this is not a reason for you to sleep in class and not listen to my lectures carefully. Good talent is for you to learn magic, not for you to waste it like this!"
Professor Flitwick's sudden anger surprised Thorne. He remembered that Dumbledore said that Professor Flitwick's temper was one of the best in the Hogwarts professor team, but he was really angry today.
Maybe it's really as he said, seeing Thorne's talent but not making good use of it, but taking advantage of the gap created by his strong talent to sleep in class, and then getting angry because of it.
"Is this why he's angry?" After class, Draco said with sudden enlightenment.
"That's about it. Of course, this is my guess, and it may not be right. Maybe I'm being sentimental. Professor Flitwick is really angry just because he's in a bad mood?" Thorne spread his hands and said.
