chapter 58 - The Night......
"You... mmm..." Chen Yuanxuan struggled desperately, trying to push Jiang Xuan away. But then Jiang Xuan pinned her hands against the tree. Given Chen Yuanxuan's peak Innate realm and strength, without weapons in their hands, she could easily kill Jiang Xuan if she wished. However, it seemed she had "forgotten" about her realm. Her struggles appeared intense, but she only relied on physical strength.
After "resisting" with all her might, she finally, "reluctantly," began to respond to Jiang Xuan.
Her arms looped around Jiang Xuan’s neck.
The more forcefully she resisted, the more passionately her kiss responded.
It became nearly impossible to tell who had torn whose clothes first.
During this process, Jiang Xuan momentarily thought that Chen Yuanxuan's overly proactive behavior that night on Heitan Mountain was not entirely due to the poison. There seemed to be some personal inclination as well—she was, at her core, that kind of wild woman.
The two of them soon entered a state of passion.
Again and again.
Night fell, and the training ground in Jiang Tribe’s Earth City was bustling with activity.
The bonfire blazed brightly, and people were singing and dancing. The bonfire feast was officially held to celebrate Jiang Xuan’s mastery of the Robbery Realm Swordsmanship. However, Jiang Xuan was not even informed about the feast—there was no need to disturb him while he was in seclusion.
The celebration was real, and it served as a profitable event as well.
A large group of talented individuals from Feixue City, led by Chen Yuanxuan, along with their guards, were still in Earth City. When they were told about the bonfire feast, they insisted on making it even grander and contributed money to make it happen. These "young masters" from the big cities were more than eager to participate, not even blinking as they threw money at the event.
As a result, the bonfire feast was grandly organized. Servants were constantly moving through the crowd, serving drinks and food.
Some Black Armored Guards also participated, but the tribe did not ask them for any money.
Jiang Xuan did not manage the tribe's affairs.
Things like tribe business, patrolling and defense, internal disputes, holiday activities, crime investigations, and judgments within the tribe were all handled by the women.
The men who had fled the tribe and then returned, because of the example set by "Jiang Bao," were not allowed to manage any tribal affairs until the death match ended.
This was Jiang Xuan’s order.
As the night deepened, the area around the bonfire remained loud and lively.
"Hey, Young Master Yuan, why is your face so red? Did you drink too much? You’ve only had a few jars!" Jiang Cuiyun drunkenly teased as she wrapped her arm around Chen Yuanxuan's neck.
"I... I drank too much..." Chen Yuanxuan was truly losing control.
He had a deep, long-lasting relationship with his wife.
Jiang Cuiyun had been teasing him all night, and Chen Yuanxuan knew she was just having fun at his expense. He wasn’t about to betray his wife, but he couldn't act on his irritation. Jiang Cuiyun was over a decade older than him. Though her strength was far inferior to his, she was more free-spirited.
More importantly, she was Jiang Xuan's aunt, someone whom Jiang Xuan deeply respected.
In the afternoon, Jiang Xuan had killed Shen family’s first Innate-level guest for Jiang Cuiyun! He had even considered killing Shen Taiping. If there was a list of "most dangerous people in Jiang Tribe," Jiang Xuan would be first, Grandma Jin would be second, and Jiang Cuiyun would likely be third!
But to be honest, Chen Yuanxuan didn’t mind—Jiang Tribe was full of beauties, and Jiang Cuiyun, at thirty-six, was no exception.
"You're such a coward! Afraid I’ll make you drink too much? Is there any man who admits he’s drunk?" Jiang Cuiyun teased.
"Aunt Cuiyun, please spare me!" Chen Yuanxuan pleaded.
"What did you call me?" Jiang Cuiyun raised an eyebrow. "I’m thirteen years older than you, what are you calling me?"
"I’m on equal terms with Jiang Clan Leader, so I can’t call you ‘big sister,’ right? That would make Jiang Clan Leader lose face." Chen Yuanxuan helplessly said.
"Well..." Jiang Cuiyun nodded, lifting another wine jug and taking a swig. She drank it boldly like a man.
Chen Yuanxuan held his fan, looking like a scholar with a resigned expression.
Lin Bin and a few others stood in the distance. When they caught Chen Yuanxuan's pleading gaze, they could only shrug helplessly.
"Ah, Sister Cuiyun," a man’s voice suddenly came from behind.
Jiang Cuiyun, slightly tipsy, turned to glance over. It was a tall and handsome Black Armored Guard named Di Kaisheng, thirty-five years old, at the peak of the Innate stage, and he had mastered the Man and Sword Unity technique.
"You’re back?" Jiang Cuiyun replied with an indifferent tone.
"Yes, just returned from the mountains." Di Kaisheng nodded, then continued, "I heard about this afternoon..."
"It’s nothing." Jiang Cuiyun cut him off, turning back and signaling the conversation was over.
Chen Yuanxuan could tell they had some unresolved issues. He quickly excused himself, "Aunt Cuiyun, I’ll go ahead, you two chat." He wriggled out of Jiang Cuiyun’s grasp and walked off, picking up speed.
"I want..." Di Kaisheng walked up beside Jiang Cuiyun.
"There’s nothing left to say." Jiang Cuiyun suddenly turned cold, as if she had sobered up. "I warned you, don’t bring that matter up again! I will never leave Jiang Clan! Not now, nor in the future. Even after the death match, I won’t! I’ve buried three husbands. I don’t care if I have a fourth! Get lost! If you keep bothering me, I’ll tell Lei Hong that you’re disturbing the tribe!"
After she finished speaking, Jiang Cuiyun turned to leave.
"I can join the Jiang Clan," Di Kaisheng’s voice came from behind.
Jiang Cuiyun stopped in her tracks, unable to believe her ears. She turned back quickly, walked over, and stared at him, wide-eyed. "What did you say? Say it again!"
"I can change my household registration... and join the Jiang Clan!" Di Kaisheng looked into her eyes. "I’ve made up my mind. I come from a poor family, my parents passed away young, and I have no ties. I can retire from the Black Armored Guards and join your tribe. I want to marry you!"
Jiang Cuiyun was stunned.
The Black Armored Guards under Lei Hong's command, although most of them were married, there were a few who were bachelors.
Jiang Tribe was almost entirely widows!
They were desperate for men!
Young ones were fine, older ones were okay too, but the real issue was with those men in their thirties or forties, and the Black Armored Guards, being top-tier martial artists, were all strong, with an average age of under forty. After spending several months together, the isolation between men and women would inevitably lead to certain things happening.
Who used whom to relieve loneliness was difficult to say.
Jiang Xuan knew this.
Lei Hong knew this too.
They had even discussed it privately, and the outcome was that if any married Black Armored Guard had inappropriate intentions, Lei Hong would handle it. But if a single Black Armored Guard were to have relations with Jiang Tribe’s widows... if both parties were willing, there was nothing to say.
About four months ago...
Jiang Cuiyun, pretending to be drunk, had seduced the most handsome and talented bachelor in the Black Armored Guards—Di Kaisheng!
Not only was he the most handsome, but he also had extraordinary talent! At thirty-five, he had already mastered Man and Sword Unity and was on track to comprehend Heavenly Force! His talent was even comparable to Jiang Hanfeng’s!
Jiang Cuiyun hadn’t thought much of it at the time. It had just been to relieve her loneliness.
Simply put, she had been playing with men!
Jiang Cuiyun never imagined that, in just four months, Di Kaisheng would be willing to join Jiang Clan just to marry her!
A few dozen miles from Earth City, under the moonlight.
The horse-beast raced wildly, with Shen Tu Yu’s face solemn. From time to time, she turned her head to look back, seemingly worried about being pursued.
"Damn it! I’ll be back! I’ll kill all of you!" Shen Tu Yu cursed as she hurried, her shoulders only carrying a small bundle.
Whoosh!
Lei Hong appeared out of nowhere on a nearby cliff, watching Shen Tu Yu leave. He merely glanced at her expressionlessly before disappearing again, heading toward Jiang Tribe’s Earth City.
A few dozen miles outside Earth City.
Under the moonlight, the beast galloped wildly, Shen Tu Yu’s face grave. From time to time, she turned her head to glance back, seemingly worried that pursuers might catch up.
"Damn it! I’ll be back! I’ll kill all of you!" Shen Tu Yu gritted her teeth and cursed. She had left in a hurry, carrying only a small bundle over her shoulder.
Whoosh!
Lei Hong appeared on a cliff nearby, watching Shen Tu Yu leave. He only glanced at her coldly before disappearing again, heading toward Jiang Tribe’s Earth City.
Moments later.
At the Jiang Tribe’s Earth City, in a delicate courtyard.
"Come in," Lei Hong appeared and called out, commanding the Black Armored Guard at the gate.
"Lord," the Black Armored Guard on duty entered.
"Is there any news?" Lei Hong sat at a stone table, looking toward the Black Armored Guard. "Is there a bonfire feast at the training ground? What’s it celebrating?"
With Lei Hong’s perceptive abilities, he already knew the general situation in the city without needing to look.
"Lord, this afternoon..." The Black Armored Guard spoke passionately, recounting everything that had happened that afternoon. After listening, Lei Hong was momentarily stunned.
Sixteen years old! Late-stage Innate! Mastering Robbery Realm Swordsmanship?!!
What kind of monster is this?!!
"I understand," Lei Hong replied, thinking for a moment. He then disappeared from the courtyard.
This was the first time in half a year that Lei Hong had actively gone to find Jiang Xuan in the back mountain.
