Chapter 25
Chloe had always thought Daniel was just silly, but now it seemed that his original thought process was different from ordinary people's.
Just think about it, who would get so excited over a mere training session that they'd jump into a cesspool?
If it was someone else who was very competitive, they might hesitate before jumping in.
But seeing Daniel's shameless and carefree attitude, Chloe knew he must have jumped in with an attitude of "I'm so awesome, I'm uniquely brilliant in the world."
What can I say, people like him are quite interesting.
Seeing Daniel about to walk over to Chloe, Anderson stepped forward expressionlessly and blocked her front.
Daniel paused, then clamored: "You think just because you're tall and stand in front of me I'll be scared of you?"
"I've never been afraid of anyone my whole life! Chloe, I just suddenly feel like you and I have quite a connection."
Before he even finished speaking, Daniel was dragged away by the exasperated Ren Yunying.
After throwing him away, she even took out a tissue to wipe her fingers, clearly very disgusted.
Daniel was very upset: "Instructor, I really don't have..."
"Do I care if you have anything or not?" Ren Yunying said. "Why did you run so far away, and why did you jump into the cesspool?"
Daniel looked very reluctant: "I was originally thinking of jumping into the lake."
Ren Yunying: "Then why didn't you go jump in the lake?"
Daniel righteously: "I didn't find the lake."
"..."
Ren Yunying gave up communicating with Daniel, waved her hand, and brought Chloe and the large group of cubs with strange expressions back.
In front was a long line of people, leaving only Daniel alone behind.
Daniel was very dissatisfied - what the, why did the instructor take the lead in isolating him?
When they returned to the original site, the Werewolf Race lay leisurely on the grass. Seeing Daniel return, they immediately sprang up: "Boss!"
Before even getting close:
"Ugh--"
"Boss what's that smell? Don't tell me you went to shovel shit?"
Daniel was extremely annoyed and brushed them aside: "Get lost."
This group didn't get to joyfully reunite for long before Ren Yunying announced the winners of this training session and brought them back to the original track.
As three of the only winners in this training session, Chloe, Anderson, and Daniel successfully enjoyed buns and porridge with normal taste.
When she first started eating, Chloe almost couldn't believe it.
She thought the First Military Academy could only make disgusting tasting food. She didn't expect the normal buns and porridge could be made so delicious.
Chloe spread this news out. For a time, in order to get buns and porridge with normal taste, everyone trained even harder.
Even the usually lazy Werewolf Race slowly went up to the track.
Having just eaten, Chloe didn't want to immediately do strenuous exercise. She waved her hand for Anderson to take over.
Seeing the Vampires look at Anderson with doubtful eyes, Chloe narrowed her eyes and put her arm over his shoulder, saying:
"From now on if I'm not around, Anderson has full authority over everything. Understand?"
Anderson's presence was really too low. Even being intimately hugged by Chloe like this, he still just lowered his eyes.
But this was not a servile or cowardly gesture. His back was very straight and he stood upright, his expression was just too calm.
The Vampires curiously stared at Anderson for a few seconds before saying: "Yes!"
They would unconditionally obey Chloe's orders, so they would naturally also unconditionally obey Anderson's orders.
But that didn't mean there were no troublemakers among them.
For example, Yavi.
He hated Anderson so much his teeth itched. After running a distance in the queue, he ran from the back row to the front row, right next to Anderson.
Yavi spoke provocatively: "You call that skill? You run too slow."
Hearing this, Anderson didn't show any irritation. He just turned his eyes and quietly looked at him for a while.
Yavi felt goosebumps from this gaze but still pretended to stay calm with a fearless attitude:
"What? Cat got your tongue? Can't speak?"
Anderson calmly retracted his gaze then suddenly sped up.
The Vampires behind reacted half a beat late. Remembering Chloe’s words, they hurriedly caught up.
Everyone squeezed together, helping each other, making it a bit easier to run. Except for Yavi.
He was left at the very back with no one around him. Everyone quickly left him behind.
Yavi blanked for a few seconds before madly running forward to catch up.
But by now the main group had already run very far. He simply couldn't catch up.
Plus with no one leading, relying solely on Yavi alone, looking at the endless track, the finish line seemed infinitely far. He lost even more will to run.
At the finish line, Chloe held a stopwatch. When Anderson brought people back, she raised an eyebrow: "Nearly 3 minutes faster. Not bad."
Everyone breathed a long sigh of relief.
Chloe counted and frowned: "Wrong, missing a person. Where's Yavi?"
Hearing this, Anderson paused for a moment before succinctly telling her what happened.
After listening, Chloe twitched her lips and scolded: "This idiot."
She used the Vampire perception and saw the faraway Yavi like a dead fish, half dead as he struggled on the track, looking extremely funny.
Many people of other races slowly overtook him too.
Chloe felt this loss of face. She coldly said: "Then let it be a lesson for him. Let's go back."
Today's training was basically over. It was past 5 pm. Chloe dismissed everyone to walk around the school.
She herself was also leaning on the railing, looking out at the azure sea outside the training grounds.
The girl had long black hair tied very neatly. The bite stopper blocked her lower face so others could only see her fair skin and dark red eyes.
Judging only by looks, Chloe's beauty had quite misleading harm.
Just as she was spacing out, a young male voice came from behind her, sounding puzzled:
"Miss Chloe?"
Hearing this familiar address, Chloe frowned slightly then turned around.
Not far away was a youth with golden blond hair and very light blue eyes, giving a feeling of empty transparency.
Probably 17 or 18 years old.
Seeing Chloe's face, the youth revealed a surprised expression: "It really is you."
Chloe felt a bit annoyed by his self-talking attitude: "If you have something to say then say it."
The youth smiled, looking bright as the spring sun: "I don't know if Miss Chloe still remembers, we met once when we were young. It happened to be my birthday banquet then. My name is Edmund."
Saying so, he smiled slightly at Anderson:
"Speaking of which, I happen to be the...older brother of your friend here."
