Chapter 11
Sleeping with a skeleton all night long gave Chloe an enormous shock.
She was more aggressive when shooting with ion cannons in the training room.
Kewen came in from outside and was instantly startled by her aura:
"My little miss, who has made you angry again?"
Chloe ignored him. Faint black smoke emanated from the muzzle of the ion cannon.
She put it down and ran to another place to pick up a special steel knife and waved it around casually.
Kewen was not surprised at all. He stood on the side watching for a while, then said casually:
“Little miss, do you know what rumors are going around outside now?”
Chloe slammed the steel knife on the ground with a gloomy expression on her face: “How would I know?”
“Word outside is that the ancestor's cub is about to marry the eldest son of the Francis family.”
With a "clang", the steel knife fell to the floor, leaving a thumb-sized hole.
Chloe put down the knife with her eyebrows slightly furrowed: “I'm only five years old.”
Kewen spread his hands: “There are many who are betrothed as soon as they are born.”
Recalling the 10-year-old boy at the banquet that day, Chloe felt indifferent towards him and scoffed: “I'm not interested in little brats.”
Hearing this, Kewen couldn't help laughing when he looked at the milk dumpling that didn't even reach his knees.
But Chloe immediately glared at him, and Kewen didn't dare joke around.
Chloe really thought that little boy was no good. He looked so young but was already a sly old fox with his polite manner. One could tell at first glance that he had a scheming mind.
It wasn't that she was prejudiced. This was just Chloe's intuition.
Her intuition told her that the little boy was not a good person.
Besides, rumors were just rumors. Xavier would not marry her off at such a young age.
It could not be true.
However, it didn't take long for Chloe to realize the horror of this rumor.
She had just entered kindergarten when a group of people surrounded her and asked her questions about the engagement.
Chloe was extremely annoyed and said directly: “It’s not true, go away, you're blocking my way.”
The cubs certainly did not believe it.
Throughout the day, the whispers around her never stopped.
Even the little boy who had been beaten to the ground crying by her earlier ran over.
His name seemed to be Yavi. Although he was also blonde, his hair color was much darker than that of the boy from the Francis family.
As usual, Yavi held his head high, looking very arrogant, but his voice carried undisguised sadness:
“Are you really going to marry my cousin?”
Chloe looked up at the chubby boy whose tears were not yet wiped dry, and suddenly felt like teasing him:
“Your cousin? The one who had a birthday a few days ago?”
After thinking about it, Yavi nodded.
Their family was a side branch of Francis’ clan, not powerful enough to attend the main family’s birthday banquet.
So he had only heard about this matter.
But Yavi was genuinely heartbroken.
Although he had been beaten up by the little girl in front of him, and beaten quite badly, Yavi really liked Chloe.
Looking around the kindergarten, Yavi felt that only Chloe was the prettiest.
Children think simply. Not knowing the specific meaning behind their difference in status, he only knew that his classmate was pretty and wanted her to be his girlfriend.
Chloe got off the rocking horse and patted Yavi’s head: “It’s not true, don’t worry.”
Hearing this, Yavi cheered up at once, but before he could fully smile, Chloe mercilessly shattered his fantasy:
"Of course, it’s also impossible to be your girlfriend."
Yavi became depressed at once.
Chloe manually turned the chubby Yavi around to get him to leave this place.
At this moment, she sensed a faint prying feeling.
Chloe turned around but saw nothing.
The kindergarten's playground was enclosed by railings, and the street was just outside the railings.
The peeping feeling from just now came from outside.
Chloe wrinkled her brows. She did not like this feeling.
She got up and walked towards the railing.
The vampire territory was very prosperous, and the outside streets were actually no different from the human streets.
It’s just that most vampires prefer to rest during the day and go out at night, so there weren’t many people on the streets.
Chloe grabbed the railing with both hands and subconsciously expanded her perception outward.
The perception of a top-notch vampire bloodline could almost cover the entire kindergarten. Chloe accidentally saw that Yavi, who had been crying in front of her just now, kissed one of his girl friends on the face.
Chloe: "..."
Damn little scumbag, how annoying.
She expelled Yavi from her mind and tried hard to probe outward.
Soon, Chloe saw a little boy hiding behind a table.
He looked a bit familiar.
Blond hair and blue eyes, it was the boy she had seen in Francis's small room.
Did he sneak out?
Just as Chloe was surprised, the boy seemed to have discovered something was watching him and suddenly raised his head.
Chloe happened to meet his gaze, of course in her mental perception.
She tilted her head curiously, then opened her eyes.
The boy probably realized he was discovered and took the initiative to come out from behind the car.
Seeing Chloe clinging to the railing, the boy hesitated for a moment, then slowly walked over.
Soon, he arrived at the railing with his dirty little hands grasping it, just above Chloe.
Chloe looked him up and down carefully and found that although this kid was about the same age as her, he seemed to be a section taller than her.
Hmm, wasn't he said to be mistreated all the time? How come he grew so tall?
Chloe dismissed this thought and asked, "What are you doing here?"
The boy pursed his lips without answering.
Chloe waited for a while. Seeing that he was unresponsive, she changed the subject: "What's your name then?"
The boy moved his lips and finally said hoarsely: "...Anderson."
Anderson?
Chloe repeated the name in her mind.
She pressed the tip of her tongue against her fangs, tilted her head, and then bluntly said:
"You came here to find me.”
It was not a question.
Anderson hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
"In that case, just say what you have to say quickly, otherwise I'll leave." Chloe spoke rather casually.
Anderson lowered his eyes and said in a low voice, "Don't marry my brother."
He said it very clearly, as if afraid Chloe wouldn't hear it.
Chloe became interested: “Why can't I marry your brother? What if I insist on it?"
She thought this little boy was quite interesting. How did he find the kindergarten?
If Chloe remembered correctly, the Francis family mansion was very far from here.
There was no light in Anderson's eyes, only the usual murky gloom.
At this moment, he said in an extremely serious tone, enunciating each word clearly:
"Edmund is a bad person, don't marry him."
