The Genjutsu Devil of Konoha

Chapter 53: Medical Jutsu (53)

Seijuro noticed how they received less and less missions—more like Tsunade was there less and less. War had started, and their C-rank missions were getting harder. Most of them involved killing someone.

They even once did a B-rank. Mind you, they were Genin. The Chunin Exams were something in his mind; he wondered whether to take it or not every single day of his life.

Probably should. The next Chunin Exam was around the corner, and he was bound to find people he knew there. Apparently, Minato would be participating in it.

How fun.

Seijuro sighed to himself a bit.

Before taking it, he had shit to do.

POV change.

Inside the Konoha Hospital, Seijuro would find Tsunade. Getting close to the woman, he made sure it was her free time—as in, she wasn't working—when he approached.

"Spill it, what do you want?" she would say, looking at him. She had noticed him a while ago but didn't mention it. Now that she was free, she could hear him out.

"Sensei, I need your help with a jutsu."

Tsunade's brow would furrow—Seijuro, the prodigy of the Kurama.

The same guy who could make a plan on the fly. Hm. Heh. Oh well. She might as well help. Not like she had done anything Sensei-like since she had them. Apart from Nawaki, she doesn't think she taught them any jutsu.

Nepotism at its root.

"Heh, something causing you a problem? Never thought I would hear that."

Seijuro would take out a kunai.

Hey, it's not that deep. Tsunade was prepared to stop him. Really—about to kill yourself over this? It's never that deep. He would simply make a light cut on his arm.

Was he, perchance, emo?

She would watch as he healed his arm, the light cut vanishing from sight.

"I'm having a problem with this jutsu. Sure, the cut healed, but the artery that had been cut isn't fully healed," he would say, looking at his hand.

Wasn't this boy just a perfectionist? He had practically perfectly healed his hand—like 90% there—but he still found the flaw. Was this how geniuses think?

Good.

"You chose the Mystical Palm Jutsu as the A-rank jutsu you wanted to learn?"

Her brow would furrow at that. Here she thought he would pick something else, but really—the Mystical Palm Jutsu?

Why.

"My reserves are not the highest. Learning an A-rank jutsu—while it would give me more to use in combat—I would only be able to use it a couple of times before my tank empties out. So rather than taking that option, medical ninjutsu was the best choice. Even Jounin can die to a small {poisoned} cut if not properly treated. I wish to learn how to treat myself."

She would look at him. Oh, so he didn't see medical ninjutsu as the way of the cowards. How fun.

"Medical ninjutsu is not for the weak of heart. So if you know you're going to quit—scram," she would say, looking at him. He didn't back down.

"I will not quit."

"I'll be the judge of that."

She would walk around a bit before taking like 60 books off the shelf and handing them to him. Each book weighed about 10 pounds... the fuck?

"Study all of these. Only after you know those concepts will I start teaching you."

Hm... a smile played on his lips. Fun.

Book 1: "Human Body – An Anatomical Overview"

Skeletal System: 206 bones in the adult human body. Key structural supports for muscle and organ protection.

Focus: Major landmarks for vital acupuncture/pressure points. Vital for applying chakra-based healing with precision.

Muscular System:

Skeletal muscle (voluntary movement),

Cardiac muscle (involuntary, heart-specific),

Smooth muscle (digestive tract, blood vessels).

Learning contraction mechanics (actin-myosin crossbridge cycling) to understand muscle trauma and recovery times.

Book 2: "Cellular Structures and Chakra Pathways"

Mitochondria = chakra converters. Chakra-rich cells have denser mitochondria clusters.

Nerve cells (neurons) = key in transmitting electrical chakra signals.

Notes on chakra pathway overlaps with blood vessels and neural channels.

Week 2: Internal Organs and System Functions

Book 3: "Understanding the Cardiovascular and Lymphatic Systems"

Heart chambers and valve mechanics.

How chakra reinforcement affects blood pressure, clotting speed, and wound recovery.

Lymphatic pathways crucial for chakra toxin filtration—important for poison removal techniques.

Book 4: "Liver, Kidneys, and Chakra Filtration"

Chakra-dense areas must avoid overloading organs.

Understanding metabolic load and chakra regulation.

If Mystical Palm is applied too aggressively, the liver and kidneys can fail from chakra-induced hyper-metabolism.

Week 3: Nervous System and Brain Structure

Book 5: "The Nervous System and Neurochakra Linkage"

Cerebrum: Memory and conscious movement.

Cerebellum: Motor control, especially key for chakra precision.

Spinal cord: Primary chakra route—used in emergency resuscitation techniques.

"The brain functions as the CPU for chakra allocation. Improper chakra use during healing can cause seizures, memory disruption, or death."

Book 6: "Sensory Input and Chakra Feedback"

Healing someone while they're in pain can send distorted signals through their sensory nervous system.

Medical-nin must regulate not just their chakra, but also interpret patient feedback from pulses, muscle twitches, and spiritual resonance.

Something he had to memorize while reading all of this was simple: if your patient is in pain—or screaming—while you're doing treatment, that's good. That means they can still feel. That means they are alive.

It's when they are quiet you must start to worry.
