The gamer: Ryu Uzumaki

Sparring came quickly and Ryu was hit with his first quest.

"Our first match is between our newest student, Ryu Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno", Iruka sensei explained, "Everything goes, ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu, as long as you don't leave the marked area and- begin!"

They formed the seal of confrontation and jumped back. The pink haired girl didn't look all too threatening but better safe than sorry, so Ryu immediately cast his hiding in mist jutsu, shrouding the area in a thick mist. Then, he crept closer, silent as a shadow and delivered a punch to the face, before jumping back into the shroud. Sakura jumped at where she saw him escape but he wasn't there anymore, he was already behind her. He was tracking her by sound, she wasn't nearly as silent as he was, so he could deliver a powerful kick to get her on her knees, though she spun around and knocked the wind out of him with a punch to the gut. Looking at his hp, he had lost 5 hp, a small percentage of his total hp. She was no match for him. So, Ryu grabbed her by the hair and threw her over, out of the area they were sparring in and released his hiding in mist jutsu, revealing the pink haired girl laying in the dirt and Ryu smirking at her. For his next match, he wouldn't be needing hiding in the mist. These children were simply not on his level.

The knowledge and muscle memory of a few months worth of taijutsu training flooded into him and he let out a satisfied sigh, he loved the system.

They did the sign of reconciliation and Iruka nodded, knowingly.

"You will continue to fight until you are defeated", Iruka sensei said, "see it as a little challenge to see how good you are, next up, Kiba Inuzuka"

Kiba was a wild looking kid with a small dog by his side, "Akamaru and I will punch some sense into you"

"Let's see if you are any better than that girl", Ryu smirked.

"You think you are better than us? Well, sorry to disappoint but you will be proven very wrong in just a couple of minutes. Don't even try your silly mist jutsu, Akamaru and I's senses are super strong", the wild kid did the seal of confrontation with Ryu and a screen appeared, another quest.

Too distracted by reading the screen, he was hit in the stomach by a punch, losing 10 hp, "Not so tough anymore, now that you don't have your technique, right? Hahaha!"

Ryu got into his stance and dodged another hit before being bit by the small dog, losing 5 hp. Annoyed, he picked up the little dog, Akamaru, and threw him out of the ring.

"Akamaru is out, he may not re-enter the ring"

"And you don't look so tall and mighty without your mutt anymore", Ryu turned to Kiba, a cocky smile on his face.

"What did you just call him?! You will pay for that!", he lunged at Ryu but he deflected the strike with his open palm, before striking his neck with a chop of his hand. He then caught the student, still in mid air from his lunge, by the hand and kicked him in the gut with his knee. Blood spat out of Kiba's mouth, as Ryu threw him to the other side of the ring. Looking at the timer, it had barely been 20 seconds.

"What are those moves? They are nothing like the Konoha style we've been taught", Sakura asked the teacher.

"Well, I have never seen it myself but I think that is the Uzushiogakure Taijutsu style", Iruka sensei explained, "the hidden village hidden in whirlpools was destroyed during the second great shinobi war. The survivors were the only ones who kept practicing their now nearly extinct taijutsu style. Being unpredictable can be a huge advantage, that is exactly why each of the great clans has their own taijutsu style"

Kiba got into a dog-like stance, on all fours, "four legs technique!", he shrouded himself in chakra, invisible to the naked eye and ran up to Ryu, at great speed, lunging at him, aiming to bite him in the arm. Ryu though, remained calm and simply sidestepped him. With his momentum, it was impossible for Kiba to stop, landing him right outside the ring.

"Kiba is out!", Iruka sensei exclaimed.

They did the sign of reconciliation and Iruka sensei called the next person up, giving him only a few minutes to recover, that was all he needed though, regenerating all his hp, thanks to his ridiculous vitality stat for his level.

"Next, Sasuke Uchiha"

The black haired boy walked up to him and stared at him with those cold, dark eyes, silently doing the sign of confrontation.

Ryu decided to shoot his opponent with a water release: liquid bullet, though Sasuke dodged.

"Go sasuke, go!", shouted a group of girls, one of which being Sakura. Instead of rushing at him, like Kiba did, Sasuke weaved some signs and released a fire release: great fireball jutsu at him. He was already at the edge of the ring, so he couldn't jump back, taking the full brunt of the attack, nearly 50 hp damage and burning his chest's clothing away. He couldn't stay defensive, like he did with Kiba, so, he rushed at his opponent. They traded blows and tanking great fire balls which kept gracing him, doing around 20 hp each, Ryu's hp slowly decreasing, 300… 200… 100… when he was down to his last 50 hp, another great fire ball and he was dead but he had his opponent cornered, he was out of chakra and pretty beat up, so, one clean punch finished him.

"The winner is Ryu Uzumaki!"

"What? Sasuke… lost? But he is the top student? No one has ever beaten Sasuke in an all out brawl! Sure, when we were restricted to only taijutsu but not in an all out brawl!"

"Wow… Ryu is strong", Hinata muttered, "and he- he thinks I'm cute? Eeep", her face grew red hot, which Ryu didn't notice though, he was too focused on his system screen.

He had taken too long to bring Sasuke down, nearly eight minutes.

"Right, next up is-"

"Could I- have *huff* *huff* a few minutes to regain my strength?", with his hp so low, he was dangerously close to dying, which meant he had to feign exhaustion, even though, thanks to him being the gamer, he wasn't tired at all.

"I think this was good enough to see how strong you are. You can go stand with the others and watch your fellow classmates fight" Iruka sensei released him and he walked up to Hinata, "Hey there cutie, can I stand with you?"

"C- c- cutie?! Eep!", Hinata's face grew red hot again, she was very cute. She was one of the few who didn't cheer for Sasuke, so she probably didn't fancy him, so maybe, just maybe, he had a shot. Back when he and his father were traveling, they never stayed in one spot long enough for him to get into a relationship. In this world of shinobi, people matured faster, so being in a relationship at ten wasn't unheard of, though not many of these relationships lasted till adulthood. Now that he was in a village permanently, he could explore the field of romantics.
