The First Cultivator - Changing Existence

Chapter 836: The Demon Expelling Mirror - 836

The fish stepped up next. A restrained monster appeared.

"You have been unable to act freely for many years, and it has affected your mental state. If you don't fix it, you will struggle to advance."

A few more Path Creators went up, and an ugly monster appeared every time.

Finally, Zhou Fan decided to walk up. As usual, Leaf was around him.

"Only one can enter the view of the mirror at a time." The bell said.

Zhou Fan nodded and Leaf stood to the side.

Zhou Fan stepped forward and looked into the mirror.

But nothing happened.

The bell looked astonished. "Wow! The Demon Expelling Mirror can't find an Inner Demon, but has a message for your heart."

Words appeared on the surface of the mirror. "Despite everything, it is still you."

The words seemed to fixate on his image in the mirror, a perfect copy of himself.

Zhou Fan chuckled and stepped away. A Path Creator began to step forward, but Leaf pushed him away.

He stood in front of the mirror.

Shockingly, it was another exact reflection.

"Wow! Another one! The mirror has a message for you as well."

Words appeared on its surface. "What a happy tree! You must have a great father!"

Leaf blushed and ran over to Zhou Fan, wrapping around him.

The exchange was viewed with awe and surprise, but Zhou Fan simply continued to look around the store. There truly were some very interesting things in here.

As he was looking around, he heard someone ask an important question.

"How do you buy something from this place?"

"It is simple. You must offer something to the scale. The scale will judge its value based on a few factors. You can only buy one thing. In addition, if you don't have any valuable treasures, you can test your fate with various items by bringing them to the connection rope. If it is judged that there is enough fate between you, it is yours."

The scale and the rope could be seen on the counter in the back of the tent.

"By the way, you can only test your fate with one item." The bell added.

Everyone nodded and continued looking around. The Demon King stumbled upon a rusty sword with blood on it, and sensed a familiar power within. He thought about how to get it, before an idea popped up in his head.

He took out a piece of paper and wrote on it with his power. It formed a connection with him and he brought it over to the counter.

Everyone paid attention, as he was the first to bring an object to the counter.

"You want that sword. A good choice. A powerful being once wielded it, and the blood on it is formed from countless powerful immortals. I don't know if it has an official name, however. It is from ages long, long past. If you wish to exchange for it, the price will be hefty."

The Demon King nodded and set it on the scale. The scale tipped completely.

He then took out the piece of paper.

"A piece of paper? What is it?" The bell asked.

"A favor from the Demon King."

"Who is that?"

The Demon King did not speak any further.

"I'll have you know that this tent and every working thing in it, me, the scale, and the rope, was created by a being so powerful she stood at the peak during the Race War Era. If you wish to play tricks, they won't work. The scale has as much knowledge as the mistress of this tent."

Just as she finished speaking, the Demon King placed the letter on the scale.

As if a planet had been placed on it, the scale completely fell, the paper weighing it down.

The Demon King looked at the bell, who stuttered.

"The value of that paper far exceeds that of the sword, but if you want to make the trade, it can still be done."

The Demon King nodded and took the sword.

The bell carefully took the note and placed it on a shelf.

Seeing the Demon King's idea, everyone wanted to use the same method. The bell was astonished when everyone began to offer up papers for treasures, and each one was worth more than the items they brought up.

They were all favor notes connected by blood, and could not be broken. Of course, there were limits to the possible favor asked.

She was even more surprised to learn that she recognized some of the names, such as Ying Xiong, the Sovereign of Karma, and the Sovereign of Death.

Soon, only Leaf and Zhou Fan were browsing.

"You." The bell stuttered. "You are the most powerful among them all, and the most unique. What do you have?"

"I haven't decided yet." Zhou Fan said.

Leaf moved, pointing at a pot of fertilizer. It was clearly extraordinary.

"That fertilizer is unique even among the treasures in this tent. Its properties are unknown and mystical to the extreme."

Zhou Fan wrote on a paper and handed it to Leaf.

Leaf took the fertilizer and the paper.

"What is this paper?"

She had already asked this question almost a hundred times. She needed to know for the record book.

Leaf formed words with his branches.

"A get out of death note? Can be used to get out of death once? Uhh, try it I guess." The bell said.

Lead put the item on the scale and it fell.

He then put the letter on the scale.

The scale fell hard, and a crack formed.

The bell panicked and pushed the letter off. "Yes! Go! Go!"

She spoke in a panic, giving Leaf the fertilizer and kicking him out.

Despite Leaf's overwhelming power, he was unable to resist the bell as he was teleported out of the tent.

The bell looked over the scale, worried.

Zhou Fan walked over and waved his hand.

"Don't bother. Only someone as powerful as the mistress herself could possibly heal it." The bell said with despair.

But as the power of Cultivation gently flowed, the crack in the scale healed and soon disappeared.
