Chapter 4
Episode 4
A cold purple gaze was turned towards Marin.
“When did I? I just got tired of being a nanny.”
Marin answered with a smiling face.
“With all due respect, not all patients are like you, Your Majesty.”
“Different from me?”
“Yes. Your Majesty has inherited two genetic diseases and suffers from every disease that comes along with the seasons, but there is no sport you cannot do and no subject you cannot learn.”
It was a secret known only to a few people in the Crown Prince’s palace that he spent his entire life pretending to be sick in order to avoid the disapproval of his uncle, the Grand Duke.
Calrissian’s gaze turned sad as he looked at his subordinates, and he soon spoke with annoyance.
“You have a lot to say, Marine Chetwynd. If you have something to say, say it clearly.”
Marine answered without wiping her smile even at her master’s frostbite.
“I apologize, Your Majesty. I can only assure you that I have thoroughly investigated the matter from reliable sources regarding Her Highness the Princess of Bristol.”
“… … reliable source.”
As Calrissian pondered those words, Marin nodded.
“The nobles could answer for the royal family, and even bribed a few maids in the princess’s palace. But the princess was as pure as the first snow.”
“Bristol, where the magic stone veins are… … .”
Calrissian took his gaze away from Marin and sat down on the sofa with a thoughtful expression on his face.
There was no sound from the leather sofa even though the large man suddenly added his weight.
Justine’s rising star, who has to laugh heartlessly in front of everyone, is actually such a careful and meticulous man.
That’s how I’ve survived so far, and that’s how I’ll survive in the future.
But Marin, true to her nature, read the positive side first.
“If done well, wouldn’t it be a great source of financing?”
Calrissian tapped the armrest of the sofa with the tip of his right hand.
An unconscious behavior that is only visible when concentrating on something. He was known to be left-handed, but it was only the result of training.
“I know.”
At first glance, he seemed to agree, but Marin waited silently for his lord to continue speaking.
“It’s a coincidence that the princess of such a wealthy country made a full recovery right at the right time for my marriageable age. Should I say it’s admirable or suspicious?”
Of course, it was just a public story, but Calrissian himself had recovered his health just in time for marriageable age.
As Marin debated whether or not to point that out, Calrissian’s head tilted to one side.
“A rich princess who would be of great use to me appeared out of nowhere and became the center of social life in a single day. Do you think I lived a good life to deserve such a gift?”
“… … I don’t think so.”
I just answered the question, but the lord’s sharp gaze returned.
Marin felt aggrieved inside.
“Marin, as inspectors, we trust our intuition, right?”
Marin raised an eyebrow as if she wanted to deny even that, but soon regained her composure and agreed.
“… … That is correct.”
Calrissian nodded and said.
“Then, write a letter to the princess.”
It is unlikely that the lord intended to write it himself.
Marin sighed inwardly. He was the number one victim of Calrissian’s sudden debauchery.
Well, if the lord is being rude, then I have no choice but to do it.

The next morning, Clementine was fussing.
“Haha. Human, I guess you did a good job of imitating the princess like I taught you.”
It’s nice to meet the Prime Minister’s pup.
Considering what he said, the results were pretty good.
I got two letters this morning.
When he snatched the second letter containing the rat drop and opened it, a most beautiful handwriting was revealed.
Want to take a carriage ride and tour the Imperial City?
It was a proposal that went against the common sense of the common people, so I was skeptical for a moment.
“Do you mean we’re going to do this and that in a closed carriage?”
Even though I learned about love through writing, it was mostly in novels anyway.
Then Clementine clicked her tongue in disappointment.
“Human, no matter how much of a troublemaker he is, he is still the crown prince of the empire. And the crown prince cannot do such a thing to a princess of a foreign country whom he has just met. It would be a national disgrace.”
Well, even if that were the case, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to see the Imperial Palace.
“Well, this imperial castle is really big… … .”
“Of course. You can’t see everything even if you walk all day.”
Moreover, our Crown Prince, Saetbyeol, was pressuring me with his position and making it clear that he would reject my offer.
So I put down the other invitation that had arrived a little earlier and picked up my pen.
But before I could even finish two sentences, I was attacked by a rat’s nest and ended up dropping my pen with a poor comma.
“hey!”
I was the one who was interrupted, but Clementine shouted indignantly at me.
“Ignorant human! Where in the world is there a princess who has so much free time that she can make an appointment at any time!”
“……here?”
I answered confidently, but Rat-Ball snatched the letter I was writing, tore it up, and took up a pen instead.
I had no intention of going to play dominoes with the Hübner Count in the first place, but as expected from a century-old fairy, she was a skilled con artist.
I admired the evil fairy’s inhuman handwriting a little longer, then frowned.
“Hey, but I’m not good at Imperial Japanese, but don’t you think your handwriting is really good? And your sentences are so smooth and flowing that it looks like you mixed olive oil in them.”
Clementine folded the letter in half and put it in the envelope, paying no attention to my criticism.
“The letters are the same here as in Bristol, so how can a princess not even be this good at writing? And those who can’t speak a word get 990 points on the practical imperial language proficiency test.”
“… … Was there a test like that?”
The rat squirrel neatly ignored my question and pushed the enveloped letter through the crack in the door.
Since magic can’t be used in the palace, I guess the ‘classic’ style of sending letters by sending them to servants is popular?
Anyway, it is the vanguard of the epidemic.
Anyway, Rat’s Eyes got excited and opened the closet and started picking out clothes.
“Since the royal carriage is black, should I dress up brightly today?”
So you’re not going to write an apology letter to Samuel Huebner?
I came to my senses without thinking naturally.
My only goal is the crown prince, and things like harmonious human relationships are of no use to me.
My friend Milligent is still being held captive by the villains at this very moment, and in order to complete the quest and get her back, I must become friendly with the crown prince and be invited to the crown prince’s palace as soon as possible.
Your Majesty, I won’t see you again in a month, but you’re not my problem!

“Did you have a good night, April?”
Justine’s morning star, encountered under the noonday sunlight, shone brighter than the night before.
Her smooth cheeks looked so healthy for someone who had been sick for so long, and her mysterious purple eyes sparkling under her milky-colored hair looked like the universe.
Oh God, why are you putting me through this ordeal?
Every time I looked at it, I closed my eyes tightly to pretend not to see the beauty of the star that made my thoughts fly away, and then opened them again.
“Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to personally guide me, even though you must be busy.”
I tried to avoid using formal language as much as possible to pretend to be awkward in the Imperial language, but Byeolnim just smiled affectionately.
“I am honored that you have given me this opportunity.”
I have to pretend to be a suitor and take advantage of the kindness of that man with such kind eyes.
My conscience shrank at the sight of that innocent smile.
An empty pocket hidden in the bedroom would obviously be harmful.
In fact, our guild never accepted requests that unilaterally harmed others, so the more I thought about what would happen next, the more depressed I became.
How dare April Bayswater, a good citizen of the Empire, harm the Crown Prince. And that too, a person who is so beneficial to the world that just looking at him seems to improve your eyesight?
Saetbyeol reached out to me without knowing anything.
“Then, shall we go?”
