The Fake Daughter is the Hidden Bigshot

Excluding Ming Yue, everyone in the Shen Family wore an expression of haste and urgency as time ticked by.

Unfortunately, they couldn't even express themselves because Father Shen had glared at them multiple times by now.

Just when the others' felt their patience thin to the extreme, the old butler entered and reported something to Father Shen.

And seeing his calm expression, it was hard to guess what happened yet the time foretold it to be the Lawyer's arrival.

Ming Yue just mused noncommittally as she laid back on the soft comfy sofa in the living room, appearing a calm disregard for the inheritance, the will, and the lawyer itself.

However, the others' eyes were no longer on her as they turned to see a women in a suit walking in with a cold air of elegance ans poise, followed by a charming handsome young man who looked lackluster, only when compared to her.

Before they could be stunned at their beauty or style, Ming Yue directly called out, still laid back, "Lawyer Feng?"

The woman in lead paused for a second before fixing her gaze on Ming Yue and nodding, "Ming Yue, I presume?"

Ming Yue nodded in response as Lawyer Feng ignored everyone and directly sat opposite Ming Yue.

Although it was blatant disregard, no one could say anything due to the silence of Father Shen.

He wasn't a good or tolerant man, he only played it cool and aloof because if he also acted like that son of his, his family would've long become beggars.

And his poise followed suit as Lawyer Feng arranged some papers while her assistant asked, "Which one is Ms. Shen's son?"

And Father Shen walked forward to talk aith the assistant and get an understanding of things.

Unlike Ming Yue who was used to such scenes of disregard of women in such matters yet didn't seem surprised at Lawyer Feng, her brother felt disdain for her.

Even his gaze was a bit vulgar, but Ming Yue just pursed her lips silently because her system had just told her a piece of gossip.

'Are you sure this cold and aloof beauty actually loves being pampered by gorls younger than her?'

Indeed, Ming Yue had a hard time believing that such a working woman to have interest in younger girls and not guys!!

Maybe she felt disdain for men after feeling their leering gazes and feeling insulted by their brain dead comments.

'Sigh. Even in such a world, girls aren't looked upon highly by the rich.'

In fact, Ming Yue was sure that even Shen Pei'er looked down on Lawyer Feng just because she was a girl.

In all honesty, Ming Yue couldn't understand such a thought process and while she was busy mulling over her brother's interesting fate should be try to hit on her, the Lawyer Feng called her out.

"Miss Ming Yue," she soft called out despite her cold exterior.

Ming Yue was apparently the type she liked, the laid back cute ones!

"Hm?" Ming Yue hummed absentmindedly, unaware how her actions almost broke all facades put up painfully by the girl opposite her.

Who knew that Ming Yue had an appeal more catered to women than men?

"Ahem, the will," Lawyer Feng began, "It stipulates two types of inheritors, with one of them being you and the other being her son."

"No, how could that be?" Brother Shen couldn't believe it and blurted out idiotically.

And even Father Shen frowned after hearing those words.

Why should his mother's inheritance be shared by someone not even from their bloodline?

Yet he didn't act rashly and waited to see the will.

Maybe there was a way to execute it in such a way that he got what he wanted while Ming Yue didn't get anything.

Or else how would he use her if she had her own properties and more? Why would she be at his mercy?

Of course, those weren't his thoughts at the moment but left for the lingering future.

"Well, that's what Ms. Shen intended. Why don't you go ask her that?" Lawyer Feng sharply retorted, not giving any face to this rude perverted guy.

She indeed looked down on him and dared to even beat him up inside his own home and then even send him to jail!

She was an elite lawyer who graduated from Peking University, the top of the nation with work experience ranging from criminal to civil cases, not lacking any kind of experience, be it domestic violence, pickpocketing, homicide, business scandals, tax eveasions and more.

"...What does the will entail?" Ming Yue asked gravely, completely ignoring her brother whose face was green from anger.

She couldn't be bothered to deal with an idiot and didn't actually want to get entangled with the Shen Family any more than she already had.

"It's simple. All her shares in the Shen Family buisness will be handed down to her son alongside her marital assets in the country."

Hearing the words, Father Shen calmed down as it wasn't any different from giving everything to her own son.

Indeed, which mother could bear to give out her inheritance to outsiders?

Thinking so, a smile appeared on Father Shen's face, whoch froze the next second.

"But... to accept it, he mustn't harm you, that is, Ming Yue for her entire life and neither can the Shen Family or everything will be donated to charity... And Ming Yue can't marry for the next 5 years."

The first clause wasn't a big deal for Father Shen as he didn't intend to do that... but why was there such a twisted clause?

Meanwhile, Brother Shen was fuming at her audacity but held himself back after hearing the inheritance his father would get.

So he was indeed a bit interested as he knew a lot of their family property and buisness was still under their Grandma's name after Grandpa Shen passed away.

Finally, it was back to buisness, didn't that mean a guaranteed rise in status?

Unlike him, his father was thinking of other uses of Ming Yue and waiting to hear the other part of inheritance, which belonged to Ming Yue.
