"Sae-jin, wake up!" 

"Mm... hm..." 

"WAKE UP! CLASS STARTS IN 10 MINUTES!" 

I shouted as Sae-jin remained deeply asleep in his bed. 

I put my hand over my face. 

"This guy, I swear..." 

"...Just five more minutes... Sugil..." 

"WE DON'T HAVE TIME, IDIOT!" 

It was already time for training class, yet Sae-jin was still glued to his bed instead of getting ready. 

"Alright, alright... I'm getting up..." 

He got up in the most nonchalant way possible. 

"Yaaawn..." 

He stretched and yawned as if nothing had happened, while I watched him, my face twitching in irritation. 

"Good morning, Sugil. Did you sleep well?" 

Then he glanced at the time on his phone and rubbed his eyes to see it clearly.

"WHAT?! CLASS IS ABOUT TO START! WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP SOONER?!" 

"That's what I've been trying to do this whole time, you idiot.." 

I tried to suppress my frustration, but the veins bulging on my forehead betrayed me.

In the white hallways of SERA Academy, a young girl with a long braided ponytail, adorned with rose petals, walked in her training gear, her gaze troubled. 

Han Yeon-seo.

'How does he know about Yeon-Ha's death...?' 

'Father made sure to hide all the evidence... didn't he?' 

'Then how?' 

"YEON-SEO!!" 

A voice called from behind, making her turn immediately. 

It was Sun Daehyun, her ever-cheerful friend, full of life, also dressed in training gear. 

"Wow, you're walking fast! Everything okay?" 

"Oh, Sun Daehyun... hey... uh... yeah, everything's fine..." 

Sun Daehyun and Han Yeon-seo had known each other for a long time. Their families led guilds that were closely connected, and the two had naturally become friends. 

"Are you sure? You don't look like it!" 

"I swear!" 

"Alright then..." 

They walked side by side. 

"Hey... do you see that guy with the glasses?" 

Yeon-seo asked. 

"Who... oh, you mean Kim Sugil? Why are you asking about him?" 

"What do you think of him?" 

"...It's only the second day, so I can't say for sure, but... 

-That guy is suspicious." 

Sun Daehyun's words were suddenly interrupted by another voice behind them. Both girls turned around to see who it was. 

In front of them stood a well-built boy with a physique that could make any girl swoon. His short blue hair barely touched his ears, his deep bloody red eyes shimmered under the lights, and his smile was nothing short of charming. 

"That's what you were thinking, wasn't it?" 

"Oh... uh... Jin-woo, w-what are you doing here?" 

Sun Daehyun stammered.

"I'm just heading to my class!" 

He smiled. 

"And how are you two doing?" 

He then glanced a little longer at Han Yeon-seo. 

"Oh, uh, y-you know, we're doing great! We have sword training, so we really have to give it our all! Ahaha!" 

Sun Daehyun continued to stutter. It seemed no girl could resist his idol-like charm. 

Except for one. 

Yeon-seo. 

She ignored Jin-woo as if his presence meant nothing. 

"I see... well, have fun." 

He reached out and ruffled Yeon-seo's hair, but she immediately swatted his hand away. 

"Don't do that." 

Without another word, she walked off. 

"Ah... uh, well, see you later, Jin-woo!" 

Daehyun said, hurrying to catch up with her friend. 

"...Ha... my dear Yeon-seo, always so cold..."

"HURRY UP, SUGIL! WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE!" 

"Ah... ugh..." 

'Why... why am I the one falling behind all of a sudden?' 

Sae-jin and I were sprinting towards the training grounds. Luckily, we had checked the academy's forum earlier—otherwise, we wouldn't even have known where to go. But... 

'HOW THE HELL DOES SAE-JIN HAVE SO MUCH STAMINA?!'

I really asked myself the question? he's the main character damn

As we ran, I suddenly recalled the conversation we had after the simulation room.

"What?" 

"Ah... never mind. I shouldn't have asked! Forget it!" 

Sae-jin kept walking ahead. 

'What did he just say?' 

'How does he know about his sponsor? We're only at the beginning of the novel!' 

'No... no, this isn't normal. Something changed. Could this be Mr. Justice's doing? Some kind of test to prepare me for this kind of scenario?' 

'I don't understand... First, Sae-jin learns the 'Seijuro' style way ahead of schedule, then he talks about 'constellations' when he's not supposed to, and now he knows about the 'False God'?! Something happened... but what?!' 

Then :

'Someone has altered the past...?' 

'If that theory is true, then that means...'
