Chapter 7 Jun Qianqian becomes mute
“Bastard!” Jun Lei slammed the table. “Junjiu was clearly hiding her skills. We were deceived by her before; she is no waste at all!”
“Master, what should we do now?” the housekeeper asked anxiously. “We dare not defy the mistress’s orders. If our family finds out, we might face punishment.”
“What can we do? Both of the first-level spiritual masters were killed by her. Do you want the head of the family to meet the same fate?” Jun Lei frowned.
“Is she desperate?”
“Master, please calm down. We still have Miss Wan, don’t we? Miss Wan is a second-level spiritual master; killing Junjiu will be like cutting vegetables and slaughtering fish,” the housekeeper suggested.
Hearing this, Jun Leitian’s eyes lit up. “Alright! Immediately, have Feige send a letter to Wan’er, telling her to return immediately. Don’t let her mother’s situation distract her. We need to eliminate Jun Jiu first!”
“Yes.” After issuing the orders, Jun Lei went to check on Jun Qianqian.
He found the best doctor in Fengluo City to reattach Jun Qianqian’s chin. Jun Qianqian’s eyes were filled with fear and pain as she looked at Jun Leitian, clutching his sleeve.
“Qianqian, don’t worry. We’ve reattached your chin, but you won’t be able to speak for a while. It will heal in a few days. Don’t fret; Dad will avenge you!” Little did they know that Jun Qianqian would never speak again.
Jun Qianqian clung to Jun Leitian’s sleeve, her pain beyond words. It was an agony worse than death, as if her body were burning and boiling.
Seeing Jun Qianqian in such torment, Jun Leitian asked the doctor, “Doctor, why is my daughter in so much pain? Is there something you haven’t treated?”
“Master Huijun, the second lady suffered some internal injuries. I’ve prescribed painkillers, and she should recover soon,” the doctor replied.
“No! That’s not it!”
Even the best doctor in Fengluo City failed to detect the true cause of Jun Qianqian’s suffering. She was destined to endure this torture in silence, with no one to understand her pain.
Her future looked bleak.
On the other side of town, Jun Jiu resided in Donghu Garden, a place of stunning beauty with exquisite and elegant decor, exuding a sense of luxury. This was where Jun Leitian used to host noble guests. Now, Jun Jiu couldn’t be more unwilling to share this space with him and was fuming.
Knowing that Jun Leitian wasn’t having it easy made Jun Jiu quite happy.
However, Jun Jiu frowned when she saw Mo Wuyue and asked, “You want to stay here?”
“There are plenty of rooms in Donghu Garden. Is that a problem?” Mo Wuyue leaned against the doorframe. The sunlight bathed his silver hair, making it gleam like moonlight.
His golden eyes locked onto her, their depths like a whirlpool, pulling Jun Jiu in, leaving her unable to escape. Just as Mo Wuyue was currently sticking to her, impossible to shake off. Jun Jiu had no choice but to concede.
She took a deep breath and looked at Mo Wuyue. “I’m going to rest now. Can you leave?”
“Sure.” This time, Mo Wuyue departed quite willingly.
After closing the door, Jun Jiu lay down on the bed, her mood somewhat sour.
The bracelet offered a comforting thought. “Master, look at how good-looking he is. You can just keep him around for the view.”
“You want to see him, don’t you?”
“No! In Xiao Wu’s eyes, the master is the most beautiful person in the world!” The bracelet finally had a name, and Jun Jiu gave it that name. It was called Xiaowu.
She had bought it during a treasure hunt at an antique market when she was young. Accidentally, it recognized her as its owner, revealing a hidden space. Jun Jiu had always suspected that her bracelet had another form, probably something cute that liked to act spoiled.
She had no idea that she would soon discover the true nature of her bracelet!
Jun Jiu asked, “It’s not him that concerns me. I’ve been meaning to ask you this since the cliff incident. Xiao Wu, is my time travel related to you?”
“Yeah,” Xiaowu responded with a guilty conscience.
Jun Jiu narrowed her eyes and raised her hand to examine the bracelet. “Why?”
