The Evil Emperor’s Favored Concubine: Divine Doctor Ninth Miss

Chapter 5

Jun Leitian cast a desperate glance at Jun Qianqian, her face smeared with blood. “Qianqian, hold on, Dad will save you right away! Someone, come quick!”

Two burly men followed Jun Leitian. As they moved to take action, Jun Jiu’s expression shifted slightly. She sensed the impending danger.

A man’s voice echoed in her mind, offering assistance. “Little girl, do you want me to help you?”

“No need,” Jun Jiu replied coldly. She raised her eyes to the two approaching men, extended her hand, and seized Jun Qianqian.

Seeing this, Jun Leitian immediately shouted, “Don’t harm the lady!”

“Yes, sir!”

The two burly men hesitated, cautious about Jun Qianqian. Consequently, they were somewhat reluctant to attack. Jun Jiu, however, had no such reservations. The dagger in her hand was agile and virtually invisible. The two men hesitated to approach Jun Jiu directly, but she managed to graze their arms with the blade.

Their expressions darkened, and the two men exchanged glances.

One of them lunged forward, reaching for Jun Qianqian, while the other attempted to attack from behind. Jun Jiu sensed the danger posed by the man behind her and had to evade.

She seized Jun Qianqian by the collar, hoisted her, and threw her before delivering a swift kick to Jun Qianqian’s abdomen.

Pfft—

Jun Qianqian vomited blood and was sent hurtling. The man who had been approaching her caught her in his arms. Jun Jiu then turned to face the man behind her, spotting a faint white light in his hands. This light was undeniably dangerous.

With a slight hop, Jun Jiu quickly distanced herself, and the man pursued relentlessly.

Observing the scene, Jun Leitian witnessed Jun Qianqian vomiting blood, her anguished face contorting and turning pallid. He yelled angrily, “End her!”

Upon receiving the order, the men roared violently. The light in the second man’s hand grew brighter. Another man joined the assault. Jun Jiu found herself cornered, attacked from both sides, and the situation grew perilous.

In the shadows, the man who had been trailing Jun Jiu sneered and emitted a snort. His lips curled slightly. “So, the little girl has been concealing her true abilities.”

Several silver needles shot forth from Jun Jiu’s fingertips.

Upon contact with the man’s hand, the needles were promptly disintegrated by a layer of white light. In that moment, Jun Jiu recalled a term from the original owner’s memories – a Spiritual Master!

Heightened vigilance set in. Jun Jiu abandoned her attempt at concealment. The silver needles, this time, didn’t target the man’s palm but rushed toward him instead. The man faced them with no intention of evasion, not even bothering to defend himself.

Jun Jiu couldn’t help but sneer at the man’s underestimation of her.

The silver needles pierced the man’s chest, causing him to convulse and collapse to the ground. His body trembled violently, foam forming at his mouth. The other man watched in horror, grateful that he had managed to evade the attack in time.

“If you let your guard down, you’re as good as dead,” the girl’s chillingly sweet voice echoed. Her words sent shivers down the surviving man’s spine.

Puff!

Jun Jiu’s dagger moved swiftly, slicing diagonally from the man’s neck into his head. She withdrew the blade, and blood spurted forth, a few drops splattering onto her face.

“Master looks so dashing! So cool! Master is the strongest!” came the cheerful voice from the bracelet.

Jun Jiu shifted her gaze coldly toward Jun Leitian and Jun Qianqian. Their lips curled into sinister grins as they quivered in fear.

“Jun Jiu! What are you planning?” Jun Leitian shouted, his face also glowing with a layer of white light, though it was slightly dimmer than that of the two men she had just dispatched. His eyes remained locked on Jun Jiu.

Though maintaining outward composure, Jun Leitian’s trembling pupils betrayed his fear. When had Jun Jiu become so formidable?

Her methods were merciless and decisive, a far cry from what one would expect from a supposed waste.

Surveying the lifeless man on the ground, Jun Leitian’s heart raced with anxiety. Could he really kill Jun Jiu?

“Do you still wish to kill me?” Jun Jiu inquired.

“No,” Jun Leitian shook his head instinctively. He blurted out, “Jun Jiu, there’s been a misunderstanding between us. We weren’t trying to kill you; we were merely following orders from the Jun family matriarch.”

Jun Leitian had mastered the art of shamelessness.
