Chapter 41 Xiao Jiuer, find me when you encounter a problem
Jun Jiu emptied the Jun Mansion and left a trail of bloodshed in her wake. Except for three individuals – one she let go to spread the news, and the remaining two were Jun Haitian and Jun Qianqian.
She kicked open the door and shoved Jun Haitian inside. “Stay put.”
Without a second glance at Jun Qianqian, she locked the door and ordered Bi Luo to keep an eye on them, intending to present these two as gifts to her family.
Looking back at the corpses on the ground, Jun Jiu felt conflicted. She could dispose of them with her medicinal powder, but there were too many. It would be a waste of her resources. Should she move and bury them or burn them? Biluo couldn’t handle this task alone, and involving outsiders was out of the question.
The entire imperial mansion was in turmoil, and there wasn’t a single soul she felt guilty about killing. However, she didn’t want news of the bloodbath in the royal mansion to spread.
At that moment, Mo Wuyue’s voice came from behind. “Xiao Jiu’er, need any assistance? You can ask me for help.”
“You?” Jun Jiu looked back at him skeptically.
Mo Wuyue had followed quietly, not interfering throughout the entire ordeal. Yet his imposing presence couldn’t be ignored. This man, with his monstrous appearance and commanding aura, couldn’t go unnoticed.
Mo Wuyue curled his lips and smiled. He clapped his hands, summoning a dark figure from the shadows.
Swift as lightning, the figure appeared instantly. Meeting Jun Jiu’s cold gaze, the dagger hidden in the figure’s sleeve slid into his palm.
Mo Wuyue explained, “He is my subordinate, Leng Yuan. If you need anything, Xiao Jiuer, just ask him to do it.” The man in dark blue clothing was Leng Yuan.
Leng Yuan lowered his head and saluted, concealing the slight twitching of his lips and the fear in his eyes.
The fact that his master wanted him to obey this young girl’s orders was beyond his imagination. Moreover, he had never seen his master treat anyone with such favor.
Jun Jiu raised an eyebrow. She glanced at Mo Wuyue and then at Leng Yuan. Seeing an opportunity to make good use of their assistance, she said, “Is dealing with the corpses troubling you?”
“Not at all, not at all!”
Leng Yuan knew better than to defy his master’s wishes. He immediately turned and efficiently dragged the bodies outside. He was skilled and familiar with handling corpses, which caught Jun Jiu’s attention.
Xiao Wu clung tightly to her arm, shivering with fear.
Xiao Wu commented, “Master, they don’t seem like good people!”
Jun Jiu asked Xiao Wu, “Do you think your master and I are good people?”
Xiao Wu was momentarily stunned, then looked up at Jun Jiu.
In response to her master’s self-praise, of course, Xiao Wu had to say that her master was the best person in the world. However, she couldn’t deny that her master appeared as a demon in the eyes of others. Xiao Wu remained silent.
Jun Jiu gently rubbed Xiao Wu’s head and grinned. “So, when we’re fighting evil with evil, what is there to be afraid of?”
Xiao Wu wiped her face and conceded, “Master, your point makes sense, and I can’t argue with it.”
Jun Jiu glanced back at Mo Wuyue. “I’m going back to rest. Don’t follow me.”
“Very well.” Mo Wuyue flashed an evil smile but did as she asked, not following her.
He merely watched her as she left, his gaze unwavering. Once she was out of sight, Mo Wuyue shifted his focus toward the house where Jun Haitian and Jun Qianqian were locked up.
A fleeting murderous intent flickered in his eyes but disappeared in an instant, replaced by a calm demeanor.
Mo Wuyue chuckled, “If you kill him, Xiao Jiu’er would be angry, wouldn’t she? So, let’s keep him alive for now.”
After these words, Mo Wuyue turned and followed in the direction Jun Jiu had departed.
The Jun Mansion might be empty, but he had his sights set on Donghu Garden and the house next door to Xiao Jiuer. With a little architectural adjustment – removing a wall – he could share a room with Xiao Jiuer. That was his plan.
