Chapter 30: They want to die, so give them a ride.
“Jun Wan’er, would you like to crawl out on your knees, or shall I assist you?” Jun Jiu confronted Jun Wan’er, causing her to tremble with fear.
Shivering, Jun Wan’er believed that if she didn’t comply, Jun Jiu would indeed resort to force. Clenching her teeth, she trembled with rage. “I’ll do it myself! You, little girl, remember this for me. I will make you pay for today’s humiliation a thousandfold! If I ever catch you, I’ll make sure you regret ever being born!” She resorted to threats, seething with anger.
Jun Jiu raised an eyebrow, her expression filled with disdain. Jun Wan’er desperately tried to crawl on her knees, but her limbs seemed to betray her. She struggled to stand but couldn’t move. It was as if Jun Jiu had cast a malevolent spell upon her.
As Jun Wan’er crawled out on her knees with a twisted expression, Jun Jiu reminded her coldly, “You forgot to apologize.”
With an enraged cry, Jun Wan’er spat out the words, “I’m sorry!”
She seethed with anger, vowing to exact revenge. She had brought this humiliation upon herself by trying to demean Jun Jiu and making a bet that had now backfired.
After Jun Wan’er crawled out of the Stone Appreciation Club, she regained her mobility. Quickly rising to her feet, she glared fiercely at the onlookers. “What are you all staring at? Keep staring, and I’ll gouge your eyes out!”
She unsheathed her sharp sword and charged back into the Stone Appreciation Club, screaming, “You wretch, I’ll kill you!”
However, Jun Jiu had already left the scene.
“Why should I stay and face Jun Wan’er?” Jun Jiu mused, narrowing her eyes. Now was not the time for a direct confrontation. She would let Jun Wan’er fume in anger and suffer for a while longer.
After departing from the Stone Appreciation Club, Jun Jiu and Yun Qiao parted ways. Jun Jiu didn’t realize that a dark shadow was silently trailing her.
Back at Jun’s Mansion, Jun Jiu immediately sensed the tense atmosphere permeating the household. She couldn’t help but smirk, realizing that Jun Haitian had received her “gift.”
“Master,” Bi Luo greeted respectfully upon Jun Jiu’s return.
“Tell me about the situation in Junfu,” Jun Jiu ordered.
“Yes.”
Jun Jiu wasn’t surprised by the report. The recent unpredictable behavior of Jun Haitian had thrown the Jun Mansion into disarray. He had even killed several servants and maids in fits of rage. Consequently, everyone in the Jun Mansion was walking on eggshells, afraid to incur his wrath.
Pouring a glass of water for Xiao Wu, Jun Jiu observed the small cat’s playful antics. “Soon, the palace will be bustling with activity. The main event is approaching.”
Bi Luo remained silent, listening attentively to Jun Jiu’s words.
Unable to resist the temptation, Jun Jiu stroked Xiao Wu’s fur. “And what will the master do?”
“They’re asking for trouble, so I’ll gladly oblige,” Jun Jiu replied with a cold and dangerous smile. She held a spirit stone in her hand, her fingers caressing it. “It’s time to leave the branch family behind and return to the main household to confront those vipers.”
In Fengluo City, there was nothing left for her to accomplish. She was looking forward to the storm she would stir up in the main household.
Unbeknownst to her, Jun Wan’er and Jun Lei were slowly making their way to Jun’s Mansion. Their arrival would herald a bloody confrontation that would shake the Jun family to its core.
Jun Wan’er was consumed by fury, her sole focus being to eliminate Jun Jiu. She intended to capture that wretch and dismember her piece by piece.
Jun Jiu eagerly anticipated the moment Jun Wan’er laid eyes on her.
