The Eternal Night's Bloody War

Chapter 21: The Call of the Sacred Mountains

Lost in the mist, the five warriors, along with Yan Xi and Ling Yue, finally reached the legendary Taihua Sacred Mountain. This was a place where only the purest souls could pass—a land where celestial energy gathered. Here, they had to meet the ancient sage, Tian Xuanzi (天玄子), who possessed knowledge of sealing rituals.

Yan Xi could still feel the echoes of the war they had left behind. He and his allies had walked through blood and ashes, defeating formidable foes. But the real battle had just begun—the unsealed darkness within Ling Yue was their greatest enemy.

As Ling Yue climbed toward the mountain's peak, the energy inside her grew more restless. The Curse of the Moon (月之诅咒) was awakening, and she had to learn to control it before it consumed her. Yet, the whispers of darkness within her grew stronger with every step.

"We've come all this way, but we still have no answers." Bai Xuan sighed, observing the flow of spiritual energy around them.

Mo Ye vanished into the shadows, scanning the surroundings. "It's too quiet here…" he muttered, sensing a possible trap.

At that moment, an ancient golden gate appeared before them, carved with dragon patterns and radiating a soft light. This was the sign that Tian Xuanzi had accepted their presence.

Yan Xi and Ling Yue stepped forward, leading the way inside. Within the sacred hall stood a man with white hair and eyes filled with the glow of the stars—Tian Xuanzi, the Sage of the Heavens.

"You arrived faster than I expected," the sage said with a faint smile. "The threads of your fate have already begun to unravel. But do you truly understand what you are about to face?"

Ling Yue's hands trembled involuntarily. At that moment, the demonic force within her surged violently, sending shockwaves through the temple.

Yan Xi grabbed her arm immediately. "Control yourself!"

But it was too late. The ceiling of the temple began to crack… and the spirits of the sacred mountain were awakening
