Chapter 14: Morality
As he looked at the woman lying on the ground unconscious, he thought about what to do. As he was pondering the situation flowers started blooming from the ground. Wherever the woman's blood touched plants, seeing the interesting sight made him suddenly think of having a garden. As he was having these random thoughts, he suddenly felt his knees go weak.
He felt his heart aching and his energy reserves were almost emptied. He felt this exhaustion during his training, remembering that incident when he first fell unconscious after his explosion against Ema. He thought back and he realised that he recovered his reserves relatively quickly for the amount of power he expelled. He tried to rack his brain but he could not remember anything. Marco gave up and walked towards the woman, seeing that she was unconscious he felt confused as to his next actions.
Normally in the stories that Marco read a captured enemy would be thrown into a dungeon or prison in a secure location. But Marco had nothing like that, the closest thing he had was his small apartment. He started feeling a little depressed comparing his apartment to the mansion, the reaction Ema and Diya had when they treated the mansion like nothing made Marco feel like his efforts at wealth were pointless. "Please I beg you don't kill me" Hearing the plea Marco looked down and just realised that he was lost in thought.
From Gaia's point of view, she saw Marco looking at her expressionlessly. As he stared at her the feeling of dread grew in her as goosebumps rose on her skin, an aura of negativity seeped out of Marco as if promising her torture before her execution. As the misunderstanding grew Gaia became more terrified as Marco wordlessly stared at her.
Not knowing that Gaia was having the wrong idea Marco took advantage of the situation. "Why did you try to trap me and why did you attack me? By the way, I assume you know what will happen if you don't answer me properly right?" Marco placed his scythe on Gaia's shoulder with the blade pointed at her neck, his eyes glinting with malice as he tried his best to intimidate his attacker.
Gaia was panicking, she was scared so scared in fact that she blanked on why she attacked Marco, to begin with. She just started crying "Please, please don't kill me, I will do anything ok, OK?" Tears streamed down her beautiful face, this sight would enchant any person. It was a shame that the person she tried begging had no patience for bullshit and mercy to his attacker. Marco's smile widened, and his eyes grew darker once again invoking his power.
He brought his face right in front of Gaia "Ohhhh, what can you do for me? If you want to live, I suggest you don't waste my time and speak or…" Marco lightly pressed his scythe into Gaia's neck drawing blood.
