Chapter 11: Strength With A Mix Of Insanity
The world went on as the three were training, and an unprecedented incident where part of a state was evaporated was all over the news. Countless theories circulated across all platforms anyone and everyone guessed at the cause of the incident. There were wild theories like countries declaring war on the United States of America, but the higher-ups in the government knew that no country attacked them.
The president was sitting at his desk with his staff surrounding him. Some were presenting the results of talks with allied countries, some were waiting around for their turn to present their investigation on potentially hostile countries and a final group set up their presentation for the estimated number of casualties from the incident. Countless hours were spent investigating this unprecedented incident.
The unanimous result of consulting other countries was that they were afraid too. No other country wanted a large piece of their land to become a desert wasteland in the span of an afternoon. A unanimous decision was made and somehow world peace was achieved through this incident. If Marco were to hear this, he would be in disbelieve, thinking "This has to be a dream, right?" Within a month a national summit was called to solidify the alliance to the unknown threat.
As the summit was taking place mass gatherings were held in the United States to give families of the missing people closure. Those who were affected were in despair, trolls were coming up with every theory possible in hopes of gaining attention and the government was trying hard to calm down the incident.
Chaos became the norm, society was thrown into chaos when opposing countries suddenly declared that they were becoming allies. The public was lost, some felt their beliefs were being challenged while others were in full agreement. Without warning on that fateful day an estimated 1.3 million lives were erased from an unknown attack.
The people who thought rationally realised that this incident was not caused by people. The reason was simple, no country could simply slip a weapon so destructive yet had such a small blast radius to vaporise only part of a state. Humans only progressed to the extent that they could blow everything up, the after-effects would still have rubble. Turing a well-established state into a massive sand pit was inconceivable.
As the chaos only spread, Marco was having a really good time. The trio were in a separate dimension, they were fighting with all their might. As the training went on Marco slowly remembered how to use his strength, developed his technique and to the shock of Ema and Diya shot up in strength. He went from being barely able to fight Ema to fighting Ema and Diya simultaneously.
In this dimension Diya was supporting, she altered the flow of time within the dimension. The time ratio was one to ten. For every minute on the outside, Marco was fighting for ten minutes. As a goddess with the concept of time, she was able to do something like this. If Diya wanted to increase the time ratio however, she needed to either increase her understanding of her divinity or increase her overall amount of energy in her being. Both of these criteria were insane but seeing Marco's growth she felt that she needed to keep up.
