The Dungeon Conquerors: Journey to the Peak

With a face full of confidence, Norman sent his good friend and his trump card Gustos to the battle arena that the city lord had prepared. Norman had already started preparing for the after party of his glorious victory. He was also planning to get rid of the useless subordinates who were siding with his daughter.

Norman was so confident in his victory that he did not even looked at the fight. So when the cheers from his side stopped and Katla's side started to celebrate their victory, Norman became very confused.

Then he looked at the battle arena to see an unbelievable sight. His trump card, Gustos was lying in the middle of a large crater, unconscious. This was a sight that Norman found unbelievable.

He immediately asked the people around him what in the hell had happened when he was not looking. And to his utter disbelief, he was told that his daughter had managed to enlist the help of a rank 4 mage who had managed to defeat Gustos with just a single spell.

After learning this, sky fell on Norman's head as he fainted in anger and sadness. With this victory, his daughter had defeated him overwhelmingly. This was too harsh of a truth for thin skinned Norman.

At first Rein was planning to send Luna for the fight as their opponent Gustos looked to be quite capable and would make a good grindstone for Luna. But Katla then requested Rein for an overwhelmingly superior showing with stars in her eyes. That would be extremely helpful for her in establishing her authority.

Rein did not reject Katla's request and had to change his plans. Instead of Luna, he decided to send Lopas and asked her to use a relatively powerful spell at the very beginning.

Luna did as she was told and used a spell called "Sky Fall" to flatten Gustos and the ground together. The spell Gustos was trying to use did not even get the chance to shine. It was truly overwhelming and just as Katla had expected, she was able to gain a lot of prestige in the high circle of the city from this demonstration.

After the duel was over, Katla got busy with various meetings with other bigshots of the city. This was a golden opportunity for her to make new connections. So Rein, Lopas and Luna let her be and went back to their inn.

A few people were curious about the identity of the little rank 4 mage but after recognising Lopas, the city lord made sure to prevent anyone from looking into this matter.

He was aware that if the young lady of the Leonance family was unwilling to reveal her true identity, then he needed to do everything in his power to help her. Or the old man Duke would beat him up. The city lord also made a plan to visit the young lady Leonance soon to learn why she came to his city and to see if she needed any help.

After returning back to their inn room, Rein told Flora and Mertha about the whole duel. Flora was quite excited to see the duel but as her going out and revealing herself was very dangerous, she was unable to see it. But Rein had already thought of a solution and had recorded the exciting scenes from the duel with a special Void Magjc spell.

So Rein started to play that for the mother and daughter pair and his two girls also joined them in watching that. They were not really very interested in the duel at first but as the duel progressed, they started enjoying it more and more. So as they had not paid much attention to the duel at the beginning, now they checked it out again through Rein's recording.

The next day, Rein, Loaps and Luna met up with Katla again. After winning the duel and getting the position of the family head, she looked extremely relaxed. Even a little bit of authoritative aura was leaking from her which Rein found very impressive. He was truly impressed by how much Katla had grown almost overnight.

Katla thanked the three of them again and told them about the aftermath. It turned out that she was questions extensively by the city lord as how she had managed to ask the daughter of the Duke Leonance family for help. He also send a massage through Karla that he was planning to visit them incognito whenever they were free.

Rein asked his girls about this and decided to meet the city lord the next day. As for today, Katla was planning to host a grand party to thank them and all the other employees who were by her side. After the party Rein was planning to repair the magic machines but it turned out that after learning why Lopas was here, the city lord decided to send his own mages to repair those machines so Rein did not need to bother.

So now Rein and his group had nothing more to do in the city. So they were going enjoy the whole day with Katla and then would have a meeting with the city lord the next day. Then after doing a little more shopping, they were going to leave for the capital.

With those plans in mind, they joined Katla in the festivities. Katla had prepared a lot of good food and had called for berds and dancers for entertainment. So the whole celebration turned out to be very grand.

After the large celebration was over, Katla joined Rein and the girls for a little private celebration. Mertha and Flora were also able to take part in this celebration. Overall it was an extremely fun day for everyone.

On the next morning, Rein, Lopas and Luna left the inn to meet with the city lord, Arcor. Flora and Mertha were also coming with them as Arcor was a noble from the Duke Leonance's faction, so he would not harm the ladies who were protected by the Duke's family.

During the Authority Duel, Rein had found the city lord to be quite an impressive person with both strength and intelligence. So he was also looking forward to meeting him.
