Chapter 1229: Void Python
The meeting didn't last any longer before Gale and his wives had to return to their duties. Poor Gale didn't have multiple bodies, and Isdis's talent was a luxury.
Now, Arad found himself once again alone with Tyal, Alice, and Claug. This time, they were riding across the city and heading toward a famous restaurant. The king can't just tell his guests that he is too busy to dine with them, but sending them to a fancy dinner is a decent excuse.
As they were on the way, Arad finally felt something enter his soul. Darkness had managed to kill the snake she had been chasing. He closed his eyes and let Mc trot on his own.
Arad could see a massive snake, over five hundred meters long, coiled inside his soul. Once he called him out, the snake absorbed so much of Arad's void that he flinched.
"Void snake... Serpent? No, Void Python." Arad smiled as he watched the Void Python uncoil itself and bring its head closer to him.
The Void Python was so large that it could swallow normal Storm Titans whole and probably coil around Gale and squeeze the life out of him.
Arad lifted his hand, and the python suddenly became smaller, landing in his palm like a tiny worm. "Good, as long as you keep your form, changing size doesn't seem to be an issue. Go, I've got someone for you to protect."

Back at Alina, Arad yawned, stretched his arms, and looked at the massive stack of paper on his desk. No matter how fast he worked, it never got smaller.
"Roberta, come here for a second." He called, and the poor woman looked from over her desk, with dark spots under her eyes. Arad was doing around five times the work she and Isdis did combined, but unlike them, he can't get exhausted that easily.
"What?" She asked and immediately yawned, "If it isn't tea or coffee, then I don't need it."
Arad waved his hand, "I've got you a little pet." On his palm, a tiny black snake appeared. "HA!" The Elvish Queen Cerilla was sitting at her desk as well, helping them. But when she saw the snake, her eyes grew wide and she felt sweat rushing down her back.
The Dark Elf Queen Jasmine was right after. She even fell from her chair and crawled back. It took Isdis even longer to notice the little snake, and even she was terrified.
Roberta looked at Cerilla and Jasmine, then stood, approaching the tiny snake. "Are you really afraid of this thing? Black snakes aren't poisonous as far as I know. But I'll have to check. Can't say I know what kind of snake this one is."
But what she didn't know is that the others weren't afraid of the snake for being a snake. They were startled the moment they understood what kind of titanic monster Arad was holding in his hand.
"Don't worry, it's safe. In fact, I've given it to you to keep you safe." Arad extended his hand, and she reached forward. The snake coiled around her palm and looked at her, its tongue slipping in and out of its tiny head.
Roberta used one finger to pat the little snake with a large smile on her face. "Look at you. What did Arad do to you? He didn't steal you from your mother, did he?"
Arad laughed. "Of course I didn't. This...She was living in the mountain range of the Storm Titans. She was a dangerous monster, but now she is safe."
Roberta froze. She could tell if Arad was lying or not thanks to her eyes, and he was telling the truth. "Wait, this tiny little one lived in the Storm Titan mountain range?"
"I won't call her tiny. She is over... no, she is a five hundred and ninety-five meters long python snake. I bet she can swallow a titan or two whole. With her at your side, you won't need to fear anything." As Arad spoke, Roberta's face pale even further.
Her eyes slowly looked at the tiny, cute snake wrapped around her wrist with horror.
"What?" Arad noticed her terrified face and asked.
"Wait! Wait! This isn't just a snake. It is a titanic monster that you shrunk with size magic. It's not something that should be around my wrist... like this!" She showed the little snake to him.
"I didn't use size magic. She has a body made from my void, so she can now change her size at will. As long as her shape remains the same, she can shrink as much as she wants." Arad paused for a second to think, "Can't grow larger, though."
"I don't want her to grow larger! Are you sure she is safe? She won't suddenly transform and blow the whole castle apart?" She looked at the tiny snake with a terrified face.
The little python's eyes flashed with purple magic, and she grew larger, reaching almost six meters in length and coiled around Roberta like a spring. She moved so fast that not even Roberta herself noticed until she was already protected by her.
Arad reached forward and touched the python, "Let's go outside and test it." In the next second, they were all standing in the middle of the training ground.
Roberta gasped, but the python had already shrunk back to a bracelet before she could notice it.
"It's fast enough that you won't even see it move. And for a test, how about I call someone?" He looked back at Isdis, who stood behind him.
"We've got work to do." He had pulled them out of the office.
"You can take a break, the papers aren't running away. They waited for weeks and can wait for half an hour longer." Arad then pointed at Roberta. "Attack her as best as you can. The python would keep her safe and won't attack you back. It'll only focus on defense."
Isdis sighed, and her body was suddenly engulfed by an armor made of ice. A crystal clear sword appeared in her hand, and she looked at Roberta, "Don't move then. I'm sure Arad is fast enough to save you in case that snake failed to protect you."
"Get ready." Isdis took a stance, but in the next second, her sword shattered in her hand. The python's tail had already extended over thirty meters long and shattered her weapon before she could notice.
"Ah, she is fast." Arad had a large smile on his face.
Cerilla approached Arad and looked at him for a second, "That snake... no, that python. She is a monster above the S-rank. Not even a whole kingdom would be able to stop her."
Arad blinked, "Same with Eris, do you think a kingdom can stop her? She'll just drop a purple sun on them, and they'll raise the white flag. My goal now is to make sure that nothing else in the world can harm those around me. Roberta needed that protection, since all of the empire's money runs through her fingers."
