Chapter 46: Chapter 45: Clash of Draconic Blood

Chapter 45: Clash of Draconic Blood

The enforcer strode forward, his golden eyes gleaming with an unnatural glow. His movements were smooth, precise—far too refined for an ordinary human.

Raizen's breath came slow and steady, his muscles coiled. The system had already confirmed it. Draconic blood flowed in this one's veins.

Liana gritted her teeth beside him. "They perfected it. House Valen didn't just experiment. They succeeded."

The enforcer smirked, flexing his fingers as his claws extended slightly. "You should feel honored," he said, his voice smooth but carrying a predatory edge. "You'll be among the first to witness perfection."

Raizen scoffed. "Perfection? You're nothing but a failed imitation."

The enforcer's smirk vanished. In the next instant, he moved—a blur of motion that shattered the air.

Raizen barely had time to react. His body moved instinctively, dodging a razor-sharp strike aimed at his throat. The sheer force of the attack cracked the walls behind him.

The system pulsed.

[Draconic Reflex Boost: Active]

[Combat Synchronization: Enhancing]

Raizen twisted mid-air, countering with a spinning kick aimed at the enforcer's ribs. But the opponent was just as fast. He caught Raizen's leg mid-strike, twisting sharply to throw him off balance.

Raizen rolled with the momentum, flipping backward and landing in a crouch. The impact still sent a sharp jolt through his bones.

Liana fired, her rifle's energy blasts tearing through the corridor. The enforcer barely flinched, his body shifting with inhuman agility to evade the shots.

He turned toward her. "Your blood is strong," he mused, eyes locking onto her. "Perhaps you should have been part of the program instead of a fugitive."

Raizen moved before the enforcer could strike. He launched forward, feinting left before slamming his knee into the enforcer's ribs. A shockwave rippled from the impact.

The enforcer skidded backward, his boots screeching against the steel floor. He grinned, wiping a small trickle of blood from his lip. "Good. You're better than I expected."

Raizen exhaled, his muscles burning with controlled energy. This wasn't just a fight. It was a test.

The enforcer's form shifted slightly. His aura darkened, the Draconic presence within him growing more pronounced. His skin shimmered with a faint scale-like texture.

Liana cursed under her breath. "He's morphing."

Raizen grinned. "Let him."

The air between them crackled with energy as the two warriors prepared to clash again.

House Valen had been playing god. Now, Raizen was going to show them the difference between an imitation and the real thing.
