Chapter 115: The Dress, the Blessing, and the Wedding.
The morning sun crept into the house softly. Zayan sat in the kitchen, feeding the twins while Nora still slept upstairs. Little Lysander's arm hurt from a slight bump earlier, but the baby boy just smiled anyway, never losing that curious sparkle in his eyes.
The dining table was already packed with food and chatter.
"Where's Nora?" Zofia asked, looking around.
"She's still sleeping," Zayan replied while eating with one hand, the other holding a spoon near Seraphina's mouth.
Just then, Frya walked in with a big grin. "Where's the bride?!"
Moments later, Nora shuffled down the stairs, yawning with her hair a complete mess.
"There she is!" Sora called out, rushing over and hugging her.
Surprisingly, it was Zofia who took a plate and began feeding Nora.
"Are we seeing this right?" Henry said in disbelief.
"Shaw," he added, nudging his friend.
Shaw only nodded, just as stunned.
Meanwhile, across the room, Damian and Melanie bumped into each other. She smiled softly at him. Damian, caught off guard, stammered, "Uhmm… hi." His heart fluttered. He was no longer just crushing—he was falling deeply. They stood chatting quietly, their chemistry undeniable.
Later, Zayan gently carried Nora upstairs on his back and took her into his wardrobe.
"All you see is our clothes, right, love?" he asked, eyes twinkling.
"Mhm," she murmured, nodding her sleepy head.
"Now press the blue button, love."
She pressed it.
A hidden compartment opened with a soft click—revealing a high-tech storage space filled with advanced weapons, security cameras… and something else. Her eyes widened.
There it was.
The wedding dress.
The one she had seen three years ago.
She gasped. "Z… You got it for me?" Her voice trembled with disbelief.
Zayan leaned against the wall, hands in his pockets, watching her with soft eyes. He stepped closer and wrapped his arms around her.
"Yes, darling. I did. Daddy got it just for you," he whispered, pressing a kiss to her cheek. "I've been saving it… for our wedding."
Nora gently brought the dress out, her fingers tracing its delicate lace.
"Thank you for everything, Z," she whispered.
Frya and Melanie, both skilled designers, helped everyone prepare. The wedding theme was deep black—elegant, bold, dangerous.
As Nora's makeup was completed, Rose came in holding a small white box.
"Nana saved this for your wedding day," she said gently, handing it to her.
Inside was a letter, and a bunch of white jasmine flowers.
Nora opened it.
My dearest Baby Nora,
I have been saving this for your wedding day. I grew these flowers just for you. Because you are, and always will be, my baby girl.
Love, Nana (Lilly Anthony Drake). With all the love in my heart.
Nora burst into tears. Rose held her, brushing her hair back. Her heart felt the ache of absence. Nana. The woman who raised her.
Dressed and glowing, Nora stood ready. Zayan was the first to see her.
His heart melted.
She held the white box, tears in her eyes. Turning to face him, she called softly, "Z? Z? Z!"
Zayan snapped out of his daze. "Yes, darling?"
"You okay?"
He nodded slowly, still staring at her. "What's that?" he asked, pointing at the box.
She handed him the letter.
It was Nana's handwriting.
"Z… can we visit Nana, please?" she asked in a broken, quiet voice.
Zayan cupped her face gently and smiled. "Yes, love. We can go now."
He tucked the jasmine flowers into her hair with care.
When she walked into the room, everyone paused.
"Hey! That's the dress from three years ago!" Aaila and Kyomi shouted in unison.
She nodded, smiling.
The twins were dressed perfectly:
Seraphina in a black gown with golden shoes and bracelets,
Lysander in a black suit matching his father's.
Zayan captured photos and videos of them, their sweet giggles echoing in the room.
They arrived at the cemetery. The air was quiet.
Asher, Nora, and Rose walked toward Nana's grave.
Nearby, the Black Scars Lords approached Zayan.
"Who are they meeting?" Azara asked.
"It's Nana. The woman who raised them all," Zayan said. "She died in the fire years ago—back when Nora had her full memory, before she found out her true family."
Silence fell. Azara and the others were speechless.
Nora knelt and whispered a prayer.
Then, with her eyes closed—Nana appeared.
"NANA!" she gasped.
"My baby girl," Nana said, beaming. "Look at you… I wish I could hold you. I'm so proud. You have my blessing forever."
"I love you, Nana… and I love the flowers," Nora said, crying.
"I love you too, my baby," Nana said, hugging her in a warm embrace.
"Nora? Nora?" Asher's voice echoed faintly.
"NORA!" he said louder.
She opened her eyes.
"Come on. Let's go," he said.
Nora kissed the gravestone. "I love you, Nana."
As they exited, Azara and Rose locked eyes again.
Azara winked.
Rose blinked, startled.
"Nana said she loves the dress too," Nora told Zayan.
He smiled and held her hand.
Facing the cemetery once more, Nora clapped her hands together and said a final prayer:
"Dear Lord, please let the gates of heaven be opened for souls who passed through pain and sorrow in life. Keep blessing my Nana with a beautiful home in heaven with her family. Amen."
Zayan whispered, "Amen, love."
Everyone repeated it.
The black-themed mafia wedding began.
The twins were protected by elite guards. Zayan and Nora swayed gently on the dance floor.
"Nora loves Z," she whispered.
"Z loves Nora too," he replied, pulling her closer.
Meanwhile, Rose bumped into Azara again—this time with her son.
"Hey," Rose said softly.
"Rose, right?" Azara asked.
She nodded. "Your son is cute. Hi, baby boy." She stroked his hair gently.
"He's mute," Azara said. "He can't speak."
"Oh… I'm sorry."
"What about your husband?"
Azara snorted. "That bastard? Long gone. I shot him. He cheated. So I wiped him out."
Rose blinked. "Are you… gay?"
Azara stepped closer, their eyes locked.
"Wanna find out yourself?"
Rose's voice dropped to a whisper. "Maybe I do…"
Tension sizzled between them.
"Rose!" a voice broke it.
She turned.
"Ash!!" she cried and hugged her brother.
"Aaila, this is my sister Rose. After me, it's her," Asher introduced.
Aaila shook her hand. Laughter and celebration followed.
Nora rested her head on Zayan's shoulder as he chatted with allies and mafia bosses. Congratulations flowed their way.
As a wedding gift, they handed Nora custom killer guns. She raised them and fired into the sky. Gunshots followed in a celebratory storm of bullets.
Then…
Nora and Zayan kissed.
Deeply. Passionately.
Their love sealed with blood, fire, and forever.
