The desperate Lovers

Chapter 16: Chapter 16

Chapter Sixteen: A Love That Transcends Time

The morning sun streamed through the sheer curtains of the luxurious yacht suite, casting golden light over Isabella's bare skin. She stirred, feeling the warmth of the man beside her, the steady rise and fall of his chest beneath her fingertips. A soft, satisfied smile played on her lips as she snuggled closer, inhaling the intoxicating scent of Alexander—masculine, crisp, and uniquely him.

Strong arms tightened around her waist, pulling her closer. "Good morning, my love," Alexander murmured, his deep, husky voice sending a delightful shiver down her spine.

She tilted her head up, meeting his gaze. His dark eyes were still heavy with sleep, but the way he looked at her—with raw adoration and desire—made her heart race.

"Good morning," she whispered, her fingers tracing idle patterns on his chest.

Alexander smirked. "You look breathtaking in the morning light."

She rolled her eyes playfully. "You say that as if I don't look like a complete mess."

He leaned in, brushing a feather-light kiss against her lips. "To me, you're always stunning."

Her cheeks flushed, and she playfully swatted his arm. "You're impossible."

"And yet, you love me."

She sighed dramatically. "I suppose I do."

Alexander chuckled, flipping her onto her back and pinning her beneath him. "Suppose?" His voice was dangerously low, sending thrills through her veins.

She giggled. "Fine, I love you."

He grinned triumphantly. "That's more like it."

Their lips met again in a slow, lingering kiss, one filled with promises of forever. Isabella melted beneath him, her hands sliding up his back as she lost herself in the depth of their love.

By the time they finally emerged from their blissful cocoon, the sun was already high in the sky. They shared a late breakfast on the yacht's deck, the salty sea breeze tousling Isabella's hair as she sipped her coffee.

Alexander reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "I was thinking…"

She raised a brow. "That sounds dangerous."

He smirked. "I want to take you somewhere special today."

Isabella's curiosity piqued. "Another surprise?"

He nodded. "You'll love it."

She sighed dramatically. "I should be used to your surprises by now, shouldn't I?"

"Yes," he said with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Now, finish your coffee. We have a destination to reach."

Later That Afternoon – A Secret Paradise

After a short boat ride, Alexander led Isabella along a secluded beach. The sand was soft beneath her feet, the water crystal clear as gentle waves lapped at the shore.

Her eyes widened in awe. "This place is breathtaking."

Alexander smiled, watching her reaction. "I thought you'd like it."

She turned to him, her expression filled with wonder. "How did you find this place?"

He shrugged. "It's a family-owned private island. My grandfather bought it years ago."

Isabella's jaw dropped. "You have a private island?"

He chuckled. "Technically, my family does. But today, it's just ours."

She shook her head in disbelief. "You never fail to surprise me."

"I like keeping you on your toes," he admitted, pulling her into his arms.

They spent the afternoon exploring the hidden paradise, walking hand in hand along the shoreline, collecting seashells, and stealing kisses beneath the swaying palm trees.

As the sun began to set, Alexander led Isabella to a hidden cove where a beautiful setup awaited them—a blanket spread on the sand, surrounded by lanterns and a chilled bottle of champagne.

Her heart melted. "You did all this?"

He nodded. "I wanted tonight to be special."

Tears pricked her eyes. "You're incredible, you know that?"

He took her hands, his expression turning serious. "No, Isabella. You are incredible. You walked into my life and turned my world upside down. And I never want to imagine a day without you."

Her breath hitched. "Alexander…"

He cupped her face, his thumb brushing against her cheek. "I promise to love you, cherish you, and protect you for the rest of my life."

A tear slipped down her cheek, and he caught it with his lips. "You already do."

"Good," he murmured, before kissing her with all the love in his heart.

The night stretched on, filled with laughter, whispered confessions, and endless kisses beneath the stars.

And as Isabella lay in Alexander's arms, listening to the waves and the steady beat of his heart, she knew—this was the love she had always dreamed of.

And she was never letting it go.
