the day we first met

" today's weather will be cloudy all day and there are chances of rain so be sure to bring your umbrella with you "

Shyam was eating his breakfast while watching news on the TV, even though he was sitting infront of the tv his thoughts where somewhere else, so he didn't listen to the weather forecast and went to school without an umbrella,

" The weathers cloudy today huh? Mabye i should have brought my umbrella "

The classes had started and after an hour or two rain started to fall, it just got worse and worse as time passed so the teachers decided to close the school for today as the weather could get even worse,

The rain was still up ot did not seem like it's going go on for hours ,

Suddenly a hand touched his soulders which were soft and cold. He looked behind and saw it was raitha.

" Hey, what are you doing here ? Aren't you gonna go home ? Were you waiting for me ? "

She is as inquisitive as always, a person full of questions and always curious about everything,

But shyam did not have any answers for her questions because he truly had not brought an umbrella with him even though his eyes and ears were clearly listening to the TV his brain was not,

" Uh, well I forgot hehe , but why are you here though? Shouldn't you be going? "

Shyam asked to raitha with the same curious face expression, but this time it was raitha who was getting a little embarrassed as because of why

" You should take your umbrella, I saw it on the news it'd be rain today "

In the morning when raitha was leaving for school her dad suggested her to take her umbrella but

" Oh dad, thank you for being concerned but I won't need this because I am 100% sure there will not be any rain today hahaha "

But she declined and now to the future.

" Well, guess what! I forgot too ! "

She was regretting on her decision of not taking the umbrella and now they both were stuck there until the rain stops ,

So they decided to stay inside the library while the rain stops.

" Do you have a phone number? "

After a long lasting silence of 30 minutes raitha spoke up, although shyam knew she asks many questions and shyam was getting used to it ,but this time what she had asked is not something someone can ask just like that ,

Although raitha knew it was a risky move but if it works then she'll have a better connection with shyam, shyam himself knew it's a good opportunity to get closer to her,

Although he didn't knew why he wanted to tell her his number but he was feeling a very wierd feeling the moment she asked for his number,

He felt like something heavy has been put on his heart and if it isn't lifted soon he might not survive the feeling,

" Yeah I have, do you want to exchange conatnts ? "

Although he asked it like it's nothing but deep down we all know how hard it is to spit those words out of our mouths.

Then they exchanged their conatnt numbers and suddenly the rain started to calm down, as though the rain was waiting for this moment and it was ordered not to move unti they exchanged their contacts.

Seeing the rain finally stop both of them took a breath of relief now they could go back home ,

After saying bye they both went home ,

11:30pm:-

Raitha -" Hey are you awake right now? "

Shyam -" yeah was bouta go to bed, did you have anything to tell me ? "

Raitha-" no I was just wondering how long you stay awake, okay bye good night "

STUCK FOR THE RAIN -
