The Courier (MHA)

Chapter 63: "That's my wife!"

"Your wife?" Re-Destro sputtered when he heard why the infamous Courier Six was attacking.

"Sub-basement level 4." Six spoke calmly, and Re-Destro paled.

.

That level was where they kept their prisoners, and currently, there was only one down there that made him take pause. An American woman named Willow, who hasn't broken even after all the torture they subjected her to. She just smiled and took whatever they threw at her with a grin that never faltered. Even their mind readers couldn't get past her mental defenses; it was like a steel wall, according to them.

Add to the fact that the Courier just said that she was his wife. Well, the bodies explained the rampage.

And now, Re-Destro understood why the Courier waged war against him and his forces. But for one man to go to war alone and come out on top, that was just a level of rage and tactics that defied common sense. However, for Six, this was nothing, as he waged wars against gangs numbering in the hundreds by himself long before he formed his Family.

.

"Is there any way to settle this like reasonable people?" Re-Destro asked, hoping that he could somehow trick the Courier.

"Die," Six said calmly. Too calmly.

.

Re-Destro felt scared- no, terrified of how casually the Courier said it.

His Quirk, Stress, wasn't working for some reason. It was as if his very quirk was in fear of angering him. He couldn't amass any stress at all.

It was as if his quirk wouldn't work in front of Courier Six.

What he didn't know was that Six had developed an anti-quirk rocket that he'd used when he blew up the front entrance of the tower. Acting like a chaff grenade, the rocket disrupted the quirk factor that activates the quirk gene, therefore disabling the quirk.

.

Six calmly walked down to the sub-basement level 4. After leaving Re-Destro to his slow demise, Six only had one thing on his mind. His wife.

When Six got down to the holding cells, he found most of them empty. A few did house some heroes that were beyond saving, as they were tortured or missing their limbs or eyes. Others, housed criminals who were in the middle of 'relearning' how to be respectful citizens. At the end of the hallway, there was a single cell that held a single woman.

Her blonde hair was dull, and her modesty was barely covered. And yet, her smile seemed to brighten up the room when she saw Six. Six, with desperation fueling his steps, rushed towards the control panel that blocked her from him. After a long minute of hacking into the panel, the doors to the cell slowly opened. As Six walked into the cell, he came face-to-face with his lost love.

He gently caressed her face with an ungloved hand, feeling her smooth skin beneath his hand. So much was spoken between them, yet not a single word was spoken verbally. With an iron grip, he snapped the shackles that held her to the wall. The chains that were connected to the shackles fell against the wall, and Willow fell, and Six caught her.

.

"Long time no see," Six spoke slowly as Willow stood on shaky feet.

"It's good to see you, too, Honey." Willow spoke, her voice rough from disuse.

"How long have you been here?" Six asked, worry evident in his voice.

"Too long," She replied, though her eyes betrayed her; and that's all it took for Six to understand.

"I'm just thankful I found you," Six said as he laid her against the wall. "Here, I got something for you."

"Please tell me it some clothes," Willow said with some hope in her voice.

"Those and this," Six spoke as he presented her a badge.

"My Sheriff Badge!" She squealed in joy, and Six visably relaxed which Willow took notice of.

"Why were you tensed?" She asked as she took the offered clothes and badge.

"Long story short, we're in a world of people with Superpowers and I've been dealing with a shapeshifter," Six quickly explained as he helped her get dress since she was still weak.

"It wouldn't happen to be a blonde girl, would it?" She asked.

"Yeah, how do you know?" Six asked Willow.

"Simple, I watched her convulse and die after she drank my blood." Willow said nonchalantly.

"Good, she was a menance," Six commented before helping her stand. "Come on, let's get out of here."

"I would love to," Willow said as she leaned against Six.

.

Together they walked out of the basement, arm-in-arm.

.

When they reached the outside world, Willow saw all the destruction Six casued. She sighed, she knew that after she died, and she did remember it, Six would go on a rampage. Now that he found out she was alive? She wasn't surpried that he went on one to get her back. Just seeing how much damage he'd done, she just hoped it wasn't in the tens of thousands.

As they walked through the mazed of ruined buildings, Willow took notice that certain parts were being avoided by Six. Then she felt the familair tickle on her skin. Radiation.

She sighed as she knew that there was not a thing she could do to get rid of it. At least, not without alot of rescorces. Soon, though, they met up with a man on fire, a dominatrix, and several others in colorful costumes. Willow imeadiatly knew that these were heroes, as Six breifed her on the new world she was now in.

The man on fire was Endevor, the dominatrix was Midnight, and the rest were heroes she didn't know the name of. Since Six was the cause behind all the destruction around them, Willow was ready to gun down those that tried to go after Six.

Needless to say, as soon as Endevor opened his mouth, Willow already had the itch to shot him. However, when he called her a bitch, that was the last straw. She grabbed Six's houlstered revolver and put one right between the Bastard's legs and nailing his croch.

.

"That's my wife!" Six cheered as he let the whole thing play out without interfering.
