Chapter 59: Origin of Akegria Academy

Less than a century ago, a man of unknown origin arrived in the outer areas of the Gobe Country.

He was mysterious and seemed to be quite powerful, but he treated the poor and weak kindly and stayed in a village while gathering any young talents that he came across.

It was unknown who he was or where he came from, but it was known that he disagreed with the way that the power of the country was split and his ideals were to give equal opportunities to all that were willing to work hard.

He had skills and methods that he handed out to young talents that he found, and also helped them to awaken their Soul Spirits, that was previously only available to noble or royal family members.

Over years his influence and power increased with the people under him and the Originator Families saw him as a threat to their power and the hierarchy that they had in place.

They attempted multiple times to deal with him, but he was too powerful and easily killed any assassins that they sent.

Not wanting to start a civil war, as they didn't think he was worth the losses, the Originator Families suppressed the group that the man was forming and believed that their strength and power was nothing in comparison to their own.

The man named his organisation Akegria Academy and formed laws and rules of his own, with a hierarchy of sorts within the Academy.

However, his hierarchy differed from the Gobe Country, and allowed anybody to increase their status and power within the organisation through their strength, contributions and accomplishments.

Over time he set up multiple branches of the academy in each and every city, including the capital, and with most the people on his side, he was able to grow at an unbelievable rate.

His organisation's strength grew to a level that it could rival the Originator Families and it seemed as though the Originator families had to act otherwise they would be eventually overthrown.

Yet the royal family still seemed confident in their capabilities and the capabilities of the royal academy, as the friction within the country continued to grow each and every day.

Damian reading was fascinated by the mysterious Akegria Academy principle's ability and was curious about where he came from and who he really was, to be capable of achieving so much in a short amount of time.

Damian was also wondering whether he was still alive or capable as it was unlikely that he would still be alive, as he would be around 100 years old, which was the average lifespan of a human.

Although from what he had accomplished, he must have been very powerful and should still be alive, or so Damian hoped.

If the principle was to die, it wouldn't take too long for the Originator Families to act and begin destroying the Akegria Academies and regaining their footing in the country.

After completely reading all three of the historical records and matching the information in each of them to what he already knew, Damian had detailed knowledge about the history of the Gobe Country.

But what he also gained from that information was that the country had no knowledge of the rest of the continent they were on, and the only hope that Damian had of finding that knowledge was with the principle of the academy, who seemed as though he wasn't initially from the Gobe Country.

Happy with what he had gathered about the history of the Gobe Country, the Originator Families and Akegria Academy, Damian returned the books to where he had picked them and was ready to leave.

But before he left, he sat on the ground and seeped his consciousness into Utsusu's mindscape where he found that there was a bookshelf with 150 books and had some space to add a few more books.

"This is my current capacity for information and any knowledge that has been copied by me will be placed here and directly into my spirit. I know everything within those books and you can read them yourself if you want" stated Utsusu.

Damian was amazed by his Soul Spirit once again, and realised how much of an advantage that he had with the awakened spirit of his Soul Spirit.

"With Utsusu knowing a lot about beasts, there is nothing else for me to worry and I am ready to choose a mission" mumbled Damian to himself as he returned to his body and went to leave the library.

On his way out he saw the weird librarian, who was deeply engrossed in a book that he was reading, and Damian noticed that the records didn't say anything about the origin of the librarian.

Damian was debating with himself whether to ask the librarian directly, but decided against it and left the library.

'It seems my academy has quite a few interesting talents this year in all of the branches. They will be trained and nurtured before the battle for the country begins, but that is all we can do' said the librarian to himself as he returned to the room behind the front counter.

Meanwhile, Damian was jogging towards the mission hall, wanting to choose a mission and get back to his residence before it became dark.

With the map memorised within his mind, it was easy for Damian to navigate around the academy.

However despite that, the entire time Damian was vigilant and prepared for anything, after being told by Utsusu that he was being watched and followed by two Inner Academy Students.

After returning to the Outer Academy, that had branches of the Misson Hall, Damian finally felt as though he was able to relax slightly and was no longer on high alert.

Although there were many that were much stronger than him in the Outer Academy, it was much less of a threat to him than Inner Academy Students.

He chose to go to the Mission Hall closest to his residence and stood outside the large building.

"Time to choose a mission"
