The Cold Beauty's Rebirth

Chapter 30: Chapter 30 The Calm Before The Storm

Ruolan sat alone in the empty music room, her hands gripping the edges of the piano bench so tightly that her knuckles turned white. The echoes of the students' murmurs still rang in her ears, each whispered word a dagger to her pride.

Liar. Fake. Pathetic.

Her carefully built reputation had crumbled in an instant.

She bit down on her lip so hard she tasted blood.

They would all regret this.

But first—she needed to think. To plan. The next move had to be perfect.

For years, she had woven herself into the lives of those around her, subtly manipulating, ensuring that no matter what happened, she was always the one standing in the light, adored and pitied. But Qingxue had ruined everything. And those twins—

A sharp knock on the door broke her thoughts.

Ruolan stiffened. No one ever came here.

Slowly, she turned. "Who—"

The door creaked open just enough for someone to slip in.

A boy. Tall, dressed in their school uniform, with a sharp, striking face that seemed to belong to someone who was always in control. His dark eyes glinted with something unreadable, and the smirk on his lips was almost lazy.

Ruolan's breath caught.

She knew him.

Jiang Yuefeng.

He wasn't just any student. His family held power, and his influence stretched farther than most adults in the business world. He was known for two things—his ruthless intelligence and his ability to turn people into pawns.

Her pulse quickened.

Why was he here?

He leaned casually against the piano, regarding her with amusement. "That was quite the disaster out there."

Ruolan tensed. "If you came to mock me—"

"I came to offer you something," he interrupted smoothly.

She narrowed her eyes. "Why would you help me?"

Jiang Yuefeng tilted his head, his smirk widening. "Because I like watching interesting things unfold."

A chill ran down her spine.

He was dangerous.

But right now, so was she.

Ruolan straightened, carefully masking her emotions. "And what exactly are you offering?"

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small flash drive, twirling it between his fingers. "A way to turn the game in your favor."

Ruolan's heart pounded.

This wasn't over.

It was just beginning.

Meanwhile, in the Leng family estate, Qingxue and Qiuhan sat side by side in their private study, the soft glow of the computer screens illuminating their silver-blue eyes.

Qiuhan cracked his fingers, his lips curling into a smirk. "So, what do you think? Should we have some fun?"

Qingxue's fingers danced over the keyboard as she accessed encrypted school records. Her voice was calm, almost bored. "Ruolan won't stay quiet after that humiliation. We should be prepared."

Qiuhan leaned closer, his sharp eyes scanning the data. "Then let's see what she's up to."

With a few swift keystrokes, layers of security barriers fell away.

And just like that—

The twins had access to everything.
