Chapter 1339: Baixue Ding's Crisis
"Keep moving forward!"
Huo Yunjie quickened his steps, distancing himself from the two companions, and soon arrived at a sprawling, massive city stretching over several hundred miles. He located a tea house and stepped inside.
"Miaoyou Teahouse—interesting name."
Baixue Ding sat across from Huo Yunjie, glancing at the surroundings. She noticed that there were few patrons in the tea house, but the space was vast, divided into over a hundred small compartments.
From the ceiling, numerous pendants hung down.
As one walked through, their movements would brush against the pendants, causing a jingling sound that brought a lively atmosphere to the space. Surprisingly, it didn't disrupt the tea-drinking ambiance; instead, it added a unique charm.
"The tea here smells quite fragrant."
Lin Yuyan sat beside Baixue Ding, directly facing Huo Yunjie. She ordered a pot of tea and a plate of small desserts.
"Hmm, it is indeed nice."
Huo Yunjie nodded, his mind heavy with thoughts.
He was contemplating how to share his emotions and thoughts with Baixue Ding and Lin Yuyan.
Yet, after thinking it over, he decided against it.
"The three of you, anything else you'd like to order?"
A shop attendant, with a linen towel draped over his shoulder, approached, bowing with enthusiasm.
"Not for now,"
Huo Yunjie waved dismissively.
"Sir, your two ladies seem a bit weary. Are you sure you won't order anything else? Aside from the regular tea, we also offer unique beverages such as bayberry soup and starfruit water."
The shop attendant looked earnestly at Huo Yunjie as he spoke.
At the phrase "two ladies," Baixue Ding and Lin Yuyan exchanged glances, their cheeks flushing slightly.
Huo Yunjie was left dumbfounded.
Two ladies?
When did I ever say they were my ladies?
Huo Yunjie grew restless, unwilling to lift his head.
"I'll have a pot of bayberry soup."
"I'll have a pot of corn juice."
Baixue Ding and Lin Yuyan covered their mouths as they each ordered their favorite drink.
"Very well, I'll prepare that for the two ladies immediately."
The shop attendant was quick-witted, swiftly heading to an adjacent room to prepare the beverages. Shortly after, he returned, carefully placing them on the table.
"Please enjoy, ladies."
After speaking, the shop attendant hurriedly left.
Inside the back kitchen.
With the wooden door shut, the shop attendant looked toward the elegant young man in white standing before him. Lowering his voice, he said, "Immortal, I have done as you instructed. Is there anything else specific you'd like me to arrange?"
"That will suffice, thank you."
Ye Feng smiled faintly, patting the shop attendant on the shoulder and bestowing him a fortuitous opportunity before his figure gradually faded.
Back at the tea house.
Huo Yunjie, Baixue Ding, and Lin Yuyan silently drank their respective beverages, without uttering a word. The atmosphere turned somewhat peculiar.
Little did they know, Ye Feng had just visited.
A while later.
"I'm full—let's go!"
Huo Yunjie rose to pay the bill, leading Baixue Ding and Lin Yuyan out of Miaoyou Teahouse, wandering across various areas of the Tianlan Immortal Realm.
In the sky above.
Ye Feng sat on a white cloud, with a tea table set before him. Across from him sat the Heavenly Path Spiritual Monkey.
"Big brother, are you acting as a matchmaker now?"
The Heavenly Path Spiritual Monkey held a steaming cup of tea, chuckling softly.
"If I don't give him a nudge, Yun Jie, that blockhead, might never figure things out! Besides, I'm not just trying to match them up. His Ruthless Sword Intent is incomplete, having gone to extremes. A push is necessary for him to make progress."
Ye Feng spoke solemnly.
…
In a valley with a lakeside.
Huo Yunjie walked slowly, carrying his longsword on his back. Behind him followed Lin Yuyan and Baixue Ding.
"This place isn't bad."
"I'll be doing closed-door cultivation for a while."
Huo Yunjie dug out a cave and moved in, opening the red packet Ye Feng had given him and discovering an impressively thick pile of mature Seven-Colored Enlightenment Tea Leaves inside.
"Sect Master Uncle!"
Huo Yunjie was instantly stunned.
Counting them, he found there were as many as one hundred tea leaves. Selling them would likely fetch an astronomical value of tens of thousands of supreme-grade Spirit Stones.
Even Immortal Realm and Saint Realm cultivators would fiercely compete to obtain them.
"The Sect Master Uncle treats me too well." Huo Yunjie clenched his fists. "Given this, I can no longer let him down; I must overcome my confusion and strive forward."
With that, he took out three tea leaves, placed them into a teapot, added Immortal Spirit Holy Spring Water, brewed the tea, and downed a large cup before entering a state of enlightenment once more.
In the valley.
Baixue Ding and Lin Yuyan sat side by side on a large boulder, gazing at the lakeshore in the distance.
"Do you think Yun Jie knows that we both like him?" Baixue Ding asked aloud.
"I don't think he knows."
Lin Yuyan shook her head.
"No! I think he knows but is just too cowardly to face the truth and keeps on dodging."
Baixue Ding picked up a stone and hurled it forcefully into the lake. Ripples spread across its surface, much like the turmoil in her heart.
Time passed in the blink of an eye; several days went by.
Huo Yunjie remained in the cave, in closed-door cultivation. But all images in his mind consisted of Baixue Ding and Lin Yuyan, impossible to dispel. His heart could no longer calm down.
"Why is this happening?!"
"Have I truly fallen into demonic obsession?"
"But the "Sword Compendium" clearly states, 'No woman in one's heart; the sword art becomes divine.' So why am I now like this?"
Huo Yunjie clutched his head in both hands, his emotions in turmoil.
He felt utterly confused!
…
In the valley.
Baixue Ding stood up and said to Lin Yuyan, "Yu Yan, I'm going for a stroll nearby. Want to join me?"
"I'd rather stay here and wait for Yun Jie to come out of closed-door cultivation as soon as possible." Lin Yuyan shook her head.
"Then I'll go by myself."
Baixue Ding carried several flying swords on her back, stepping on a leaf as she gracefully floated toward a nearby city.
The city had a high rank.
Within the Shenzhou Continent, it could be considered a five-star city, housing numerous Demi Immortals comparable to Quasi-Saints and hosting over a hundred Void Break Realm cultivators.
"This city is bustling."
Baixue Ding looked around, noticing the streets were teeming with delicious foods. She quickly began purchasing various treats.
In the distance.
An attractive young man was walking when he saw Baixue Ding, whose shoulder-length short hair, heroic posture, and stunning appearance immediately captivated him.
"What a beautiful maiden!"
"Her cultivation level isn't low—she's reached the Divine Origin Realm. If we dual cultivate, I'll certainly reach greater heights, perhaps even the Peak Void Break Realm and the position of Heavenly Emperor."
The youth immediately walked forward.
Soon after.
He arrived behind Baixue Ding, carefully surveying her before saying with a grin, "Fair maiden, my name is Yi Feichen. I've long admired you. Might we spend tonight beneath the moon among flowers, sharing pleasure and bliss?"
"Bah! Scoundrel, begone!"
Baixue Ding didn't hesitate, responding with an icy rebuke.
"Now, don't be like that! We're both humans; why reject me so utterly? Besides, I'm of the Void Break Realm, and you're merely at the Divine Origin Realm. Dual cultivation with me is a sure gain for you!"
Yi Feichen smirked insincerely.
"Get lost!"
Baixue Ding had never encountered such a shameless individual. Looking at him, she felt a wave of disgust.
"Hehe! Once I capture you, you'll understand my prowess."
Yi Feichen made his move, gripping Baixue Ding's shoulder and unleashing his aura to suppress her completely. She could no longer escape.
"What are you trying to do?!"
Baixue Ding realized she was entirely immobilized. Her eyes filled with terror.
"What else? Dual cultivation, of course!"
Yi Feichen seized Baixue Ding's shoulder, sealing off her power. He flew toward a distant manor and threw her onto the ground, instructing the maids around him:
"Prepare a bath and new clothes for this fair maiden. Then dress her in the recently acquired Noble Consort's Attire. I have a fondness for that outfit; it enhances the experience during dual cultivation."
"Understood."
The maids, terrified, quickly lifted Baixue Ding and began pulling her toward a nearby bathroom.
"Help! Someone!"
Baixue Ding screamed for help, struggling frantically, but her body was bound, leaving her unable to move. As the ominous bathroom grew closer, despair flooded her heart.
"Hehe, marvelous!"
Yi Feichen watched Baixue Ding being dragged toward the bathroom, excitement shining in his eyes.
But then, suddenly.
This corner of the world was engulfed by an overwhelming chill, freezing the area and inspiring extreme dread devoid of emotion, desire, or thought.
"Daring to lay a hand on my woman—are you seeking death?"
A frigid voice erupted in an instant.
