The Chosen One Was Me, Not You

chapter 23

23 – {Emotional trouble}

{Emotional trouble}

When morning came, YuRia woke up and opened her eyes.

“Haaam~”

Waking up with her yawn, she stretched out and felt that the bed she woke up on was quite unfamiliar.

She did not feel like the bed in the dormitory of the Second Academy, nor did it feel different from the bed in her room in the mansion of the Duke of Arsane.

No, not only the bed but also the room was unfamiliar.

‘I should get used to this bed too.’

Now she will have to get used to this bed as she has to spend a year at Minst Academy.

With that thought in mind, Yuria stood up from her seat and stood in front of the mirror.

She went to bed yesterday in a simple, pure white negligee one-piece dress, and out of habit she first lightly trimmed her hair before washing.

Her beautiful silver hair, as if it were made by melting the finest silver, was simply tidied up, and Yuria prepared to take a light shower before changing into the clothes she had taken off yesterday.

‘I could have just worn it to sleep.’

Yuria’s gaze turned to the top she took off yesterday: a white T-shirt and black leather hot pants. That outfit she liked to wear as a swordsman was made exclusively for her by the Arsene duchy, so it would have been enough to wear it instead of her pajamas.

But she dared to change into this outfit now.

For some reason, YuRia felt complicated as she recalled that she had changed into her nightgown on a whim.

‘Prince Theodore keeps bothering me.’

She didn’t know for sure yet how she felt about him.

YuRia took off her clothes and went into the bathroom, recalling her memories of thinking of him while taking a shower yesterday. She turned on the water in her shower at the temperature she had set yesterday.

She wasn’t sweaty like yesterday, so Yuria, who washed her lightly, put on her white T-shirt and black leather hot pants that she had taken off yesterday.

She didn’t forget to pack her belt and the sword in its scabbard as well.

Looking at the clock on the wall, she saw that the time was now a little past 6:00 in the morning. Although she wasn’t sweating enough, she thought to warm up her body lightly. She came down to the first floor. .

After coming down to the first floor, she warmed up her body by exercising lightly, and after she ate breakfast, she intended to focus on her training as she had no special schedule.

‘Prince Theodore taught me well, so I have to study hard.’

Since she said she had a hard time today, she was looking forward to how she would train her as a prosecutor.

No matter how hard the training was, it was very enjoyable for her as a swordsman to be taught by a swordsman with better skills than herself.

Yuria decided to think that way for now.

‘I’m hungry.’

I felt a little hungry.

She had a good dinner last night, but she got hungry easily because of her heavy training load and still feels quite hungry.

Knock- Knock-

Someone was knocking on the door slowly.

“Princess Yuria.”

“Prince Theodore?”

Yuria was slightly surprised that he had come to visit early in the morning. She quickly went to the door, opened it, and saw Theodore.

He came in the morning, wearing a white shirt and simple black pants, and Yuria felt that he was really handsome in the morning.

Her tall, well-trained body and sculpturally beautiful appearance explained why so many women fell for him and lost their minds, but to Yuria, she was just an unlucky good-looking appearance.

I was more concerned about other things than that.

“What happened?”

“I’m here to make breakfast for my fiancée. Are you thinking of taking it off with something like preserved food?”

Since they came to Minst Academy to study, in fact, they could go and eat at Minst Academy’s cafeteria as much as they like.

However, Yuria guessed that if she went, she would soon become a hot topic because of her appearance, and she would suffer.

If her fiancée, Theodore Skylord, hadn’t shown her overwhelming abilities, there would have been countless male students waiting to confess to her even at her second academy.

YuRia, who didn’t like that, wanted to focus on her training quietly for now, so she planned to take it off in a preservation way, just like Theodore said.

At least she was at Minst Academy. She intended to prove her swordsmanship skills after imprinting them on her, rather than starting by creating a buzz for her beauty.

“I won’t stop you if you want to use the cafeteria here at Minst Academy, but if you don’t, just tell me. I’ll keep you fed.”

She said it indifferently, but unexpectedly he showed consideration, so Yuria looked at him with her curious eyes.

After she told her that he was interested in her, it was so strange to her that he did something that would have bothered her before.

“Prince Theodore, have you had any change of heart? Has anything major happened?”

“It’s nothing. The assassins sent by William at night killed me, came to kidnap you, subdued you all, and sent you back to the Arkhan Empire. And William was punished appropriately and sent back, but now it’s officially our duty. My country will condemn the atrocities of the Britannian Empire.”

“That’s a big deal!”

Yuria was astonished at what Theodore said calmly.

It was nothing else, it was an incident in which an assassin infiltrated the Minst Academy, killed and kidnapped an international student.

This was not an ordinary matter, but an international issue, and if this fact was known, the Duke of Skyroad would surely be very angry, but in the Arkhan Empire, the imperial family would rage and criticize it greatly.

The Duke of Arsene would be particularly upset.

And as her eldest daughter, she knew how her mother would react when she heard that she was nearly kidnapped.

‘My mother will be angry at me to come back right away.’

At Minst Academy, she couldn’t prove her ability that she had worked so hard for, and she honestly felt too unfair to go back.

Perhaps reading her uneasiness, Theodore put his hand on her shoulder.

“Don’t worry. It’s a problem that Duke Arsene will take care of.”

“Father?”

“Yes. Princess Yuria, as you know, I promised to protect you, right? Just like last night, I will continue to protect you, so you don’t have to worry about that part.”

“…Yes. And thank you, Prince Theodore.”

Yuria thanked him.

“What are you grateful for?”

“You stopped the assassins from kidnapping me. And thank you again for promising to protect me from now on.”

Yuria expressed her sincere gratitude to her, as it was clear that he had protected her, even though it was her fiancée and fiancée’s duty to protect her.

She also thanked him for promising to protect her from now on.

“I wish I knew. I’ll make it for you in the morning. Do you like bread and sausage?”

“Yes. I don’t really care about most foods. I like pickles, but I’m a bit allergic to cucumbers.”

Yuria actually didn’t choose most foods except for cucumbers.

She was born as a princess of the Duke of Arsein, so she was in fact a golden jade, but since childhood, she had a passion for swordsmanship, so rather than focusing on her delicious food, she worked hard while training to improve her skills.

Thanks to that, she got into the Jeha Academy, and if it wasn’t for going with her friend Ashley, she wouldn’t have known how to visit cafes and most of the types of cakes.

Upon hearing YuRia’s answer, Theodore nodded her head.

“Okay, okay. Then wait a minute. Go ahead and sit down.”

“Yes, I understand.”

Theodore took out a few items from the subspace, and then I saw him start preparing breakfast in the kitchen.

‘It seems that Prince Theodore just takes too much.’

He protects you, he trains you, and he even cooks for you.

Receiving all of this, Yuria began to feel a bit pressured, and at the same time, she thought about what she could do for him.

‘No.’

But no matter how much she thought about it, there was nothing she could do for him.

Cooking skills? She was lucky if she could grill the meat properly.

Swordsmanship skills? She was in a position to learn from him in the first place.

Lyrics ability? She was barely able to clean the house on her own, and even yesterday when she tried to do the dishes, she only saw him do it with magic.

She felt that there was nothing she could do for him.

‘Ah, that person… The more I think about it, the more irritating it is.’

Apart from being grateful, I kept thinking about this.

And I was annoyed at the fact that I was constantly bothered by him, probably because of what I had experienced after coming here.

“It’s over.”

And he was seen bringing two plates.

It was floating in the air on two dishes, and one was placed in front of YuRia. And Theodore, who placed another one across from her, sat down at her table.

“Is it okay to drink orange juice?”

“Yes.”

A glass was placed in front of Yuria, and the inside was filled with orange juice.

On the plate, which is the breakfast menu, there were well-baked muffins, butter, sausages, fried eggs, hash browns, and sliced tomatoes. It was a fairly rich-looking breakfast menu.

“Are you well dressed?”

“Eat a lot. Today’s training is going to be pretty tough.”

“Yes. But Prince Theodore…Is there anything I can do to help?”

At Yuria’s words, Theodore smiled and said.

“No?”

Yuria was moved to tears when he said so openly that he said no! She was in the mood to.

It wasn’t just the lines, but the tone was “There’s no way you could have something like that, right?”

“…Anyways you! Ah!”

YuRia started eating breakfast slowly, feeling that she was more upset than usual.

The breakfast prepared by Theodore was delicious enough to split.

“From the cook’s point of view, eating well is enough. There’s no need to attach any strange thoughts to it. Princess Yuria, you just have to eat deliciously and train hard.”

Yuria, who was cutting the sausage little by little at Theodore’s words, blinked her eyes slightly.

‘Why do you speak so differently?’

The grumpy face is still the same, and it seems that the way of talking that makes me angry is similar… Is it free?

‘Why are you so considerate with your words?’

She was a question that Yuria couldn’t help but raise.

She couldn’t believe that she was really interested in hearing about her… ?

“Prince Theodore, do you know how suddenly he seems kind?”

“Well? I don’t know? Did you ever need some comfort?”

Yuria shook her head thinking that it was her own misunderstanding at Theodore’s tone.

‘Yes, it must have been an illusion.’

It seemed he was mistaken when he saw him defending himself from the assassins or trying to do his duty.

Originally, even if there were two things, he wouldn’t have been mistaken like this.

Thinking of that, I felt ashamed of what I just said.

‘You’re not laughing inside, are you?’

Through such thoughts, YuRia pushed back her shame as much as possible.

“No. I think it was just my imagination.”

After answering like that, Yuria nervously started cutting the sausage with a fork and knife. Theodore, who was eating slowly while watching her, suddenly said,

“But if there is anything you need help with, let me know. As I said yesterday, I’m interested in you because you’re a better woman than I thought. As my fiancée, if you need help with anything, I’ll help you.”

“…Are you kidding me?”
