The Blessed Farm Girl Has a Spatial Storage

Chapter 109: The Childhood Sweetheart is the Green Plum

Qian Youliang, Shopkeeper Qian, previously a favorite of Guang Ju Restaurant's owner, had always been at odds with Wang Fuhai.

When the owner lost a bet and had to send someone to open a shop in a small marketplace in Anyang County, Qian Youliang deliberately arranged for Wang Fuhai to be sent.

He had hoped the remote location would quickly make the owner forget Wang Fuhai.

However, his plan backfired. Instead of ruining Wang Fuhai, he inadvertently helped him connect with someone from the Zhao Family. Consequently, Wang Fuhai frequently obtained new prescriptions.

Now, not only had Wang Fuhai avoided being abandoned by the owner, but he had also become his favorite, entrusted with many lucrative assignments.

So, when Qian Youliang heard Wang Fuhai had returned to see the owner, he grew anxious.

By the time he arrived, Wang Fuhai was standing outside the study of Sir Feng, their owner.

Just as the shop assistants had reported, Wang Fuhai was carrying a cabbage.

"Well, well, Shopkeeper Wang, what a coincidence."

He approached with a smile, eyeing the cabbage in the basket curiously. "Have you obtained another good food prescription?"

Wang Fuhai met Qian Youliang's feigned pleasantries with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

"Not at all, how could I acquire any good prescriptions? It's just some ordinary food. I can't compare to your great abilities, Shopkeeper Qian."

Qian Youliang chuckled coldly, his gaze falling on the basket in Wang Fuhai's hand. "My, my, Shopkeeper Wang, what treasure are you carrying there?"

Wang Fuhai replied, "Isn't it obvious? It's a cabbage."

Qian Youliang was speechless. He could see it was a cabbage, couldn't he?

Just as the atmosphere between them grew awkward, a young servant hurried over. "Shopkeeper Wang, the Master is asking for you."

Wang Fuhai immediately nodded to Qian Youliang. "Shopkeeper Qian, I'll head in first, then."

With that, he picked up his basket and went inside.

After Wang Fuhai went in, Qian Youliang waited outside. During this time, the young servant led two other attendants inside. Qian Youliang had no idea what Wang Fuhai and the owner were discussing, but they talked for a full hour.

An hour later, Wang Fuhai finally emerged, looking relaxed.

Seeing the cheerful expression on Wang Fuhai's face, Qian Youliang knew something good must have happened for him.

Just then, Wang Fuhai noticed Qian Youliang was still there and asked in surprise, "Oh, Shopkeeper Qian, you're not busy?"

Qian Youliang carefully observed that the cabbage was gone from Wang Fuhai's basket. It seems he left it with the Dong Family, he thought.

He then said with a laugh, "I have some business with our owner."

"Oh." Wang Fuhai glanced at him. I know what little scheme you're plotting, he thought. You just want to find out if I've come up with another new prescription.

He then cupped his hands. "In that case, I'll take my leave."

With that, he quickly departed. He had been traveling all day and was quite tired.

As soon as Wang Fuhai left, Qian Youliang started asking around for information. Eventually, he managed to dig up some news.

It was said that Wang Fuhai had indeed brought a couple of food prescriptions to the owner. However, the owner seemed even more interested in the cabbage Wang Fuhai had brought that day.

Qian Youliang was puzzled. It's just a cabbage, he mused. There are plenty of them in the market. What's so special about it?

Unable to figure it out, he went to the vegetable market, bought several large cabbages, and took them back to study...

「Meanwhile, back at the Zhao Family...」

The next day, when Zhao Zhitong went to school, Wei Shulian used the incident of Zhao Zhitong treating classmates to fried snails as a pretext to rally the other students to isolate her.

Wei Shulian, surrounded by classmates, was saying with fervor, "Did you know? Those snails grow up eating mud from the river. They're incredibly dirty!"

One classmate chimed in, "Yes, yes! My mother said people usually only eat those things during a famine."

Wei Shulian continued, "So, Zhao Zhitong deliberately used such filthy things to insult you! It's a good thing none of you ate them."

"Exactly! Luckily, I listened to my mother and didn't go," another agreed.

Seeing all the classmates on her side this time, Wei Shulian was incredibly pleased with herself. She pressed on, "You were right not to go. Zhao Zhitong is so malicious. We shouldn't associate with her anymore, or we'll be tainted by her filth."

"Yes! I'm not going to play with her anymore," a student declared.

"Me neither! When class starts, I'm going to ask the Teacher to change my seat. I don't want to sit behind her!"

"Hey!"

Just then, a sudden voice made them jump. Turning around, they saw it was Qiao Muchen.

He walked into the school carrying his luggage box, then glared at Wei Shulian. "You dare say one more slanderous word!"

Although Qiao Muchen appeared thin and small, Wei Shulian was quite afraid of him. Besides, Old Master Wei was particularly fond of Qiao Muchen, so she didn't dare to offend him. Thus, when he glared at her, she obediently shut her mouth.

However, some students weren't afraid of him and retorted defiantly, sticking their necks out, "So what if we said it? Zhao Zhitong *is* dirty! We just don't want to be friends with her! What are you going to do about it?"

Qiao Muchen calmly set down his luggage box and clenched his small fists. In the end, he couldn't hold back and threw a punch.

His fist landed squarely on the student's face. The student yelped in pain and immediately started to fight back.

The other students also pounced on Qiao Muchen.

At that moment, Zhao Yue happened to enter. Seeing Qiao Muchen being ganged up on, he instinctively rushed forward to help without a second thought.

As Zhao Zhitong and Wei Shulan approached the classroom hand in hand, they heard the CRASHING AND BANGING sounds of a fight and children shouting from inside. They exchanged a glance.

They exclaimed in unison, "That sounds like Qiao Muchen and Zhao Yue!"

Then, the two of them dashed into the classroom. Inside, they saw four or five children surrounding Qiao Muchen and Zhao Yue, locked in a fierce brawl.

Desks, chairs, brushes, ink, paper, and inkstones lay scattered across the floor.

Zhao Zhitong cried out in alarm, "Stop it! All of you, stop fighting!"

But her words had little effect; they showed no signs of stopping. Frustrated, Zhao Zhitong rolled up her sleeves, rushed forward, yanked a boy who was pinning Qiao Muchen down, and landed a punch on him. "I told you to stop fighting!"

The student, stunned for a moment, then started fighting with Zhao Zhitong.

Seeing the chaotic scene and fearing Zhao Zhitong would get hurt, Wei Shulan also bravely jumped into the fray.

The classroom descended into utter chaos.

It wasn't until another student came in, saw the scene, and hastily fetched the Teacher that the escalating brawl was finally stopped.

Surveying the wreckage in the classroom, Scholar Meng, their Teacher, was so furious his beard trembled. He was especially distressed and angry when he saw the disheveled Qiao Muchen and Zhao Zhitong.

Holding his teaching ruler, Scholar Meng said angrily, "This school is a sacred place of learning! To behave so discourteously before the statue of Confucius is outrageous!"

All the students lowered their heads, not daring to utter a sound.

The Teacher continued, "Your parents sent you to school, and I teach you the books of sages, so that you may understand reason, know propriety, and distinguish right from wrong! Yet, you openly brawl in the classroom! I am truly disappointed in all of you!"

At this, Zhao Zhitong raised her head, pointed at the group she considered the main culprits, and declared, "Teacher, they hit us first!"
