The Blessed Farm Girl Has a Spatial Storage

Chapter 101: Reunion

After speaking, Zhao Yue pretended to stand. Zhao Zhitong panicked, grabbed him, and pulled him back. Then, baring her teeth at Zhao Yue, she said, "You're not allowed to go! If you dare, I'll beat you up! We're not plotting anything bad!"

With a look of disbelief, Zhao Yue asked, "Can you even beat me?"

Zhao Zhitong snorted. "I'll get Lanlan and Qiao Muchen to help me beat you up."

Qiao Muchen and Wei Shulan immediately waved their fists at Zhao Yue.

Zhao Yue instinctively flinched, then leaned in again. "How about this? You don't have to tell the Teacher, but you have to include me."

After Zhao Zhitong and the others exchanged glances, they finally nodded in agreement but emphasized, "You can't tell anyone else!"

"Don't worry, don't worry," Zhao Yue patted his chest in assurance, then squeezed under the table. "Hey, Qiao Muchen, could you move over a bit?"

Then, the three of them became four. Zhao Zhitong continued, "The Teacher must miss his child a lot, and Big Brother must really want to see his dad. So, we need to help the Teacher and Big Brother make up."

The three looked at Zhao Zhitong. "How can we help them?"

Zhao Zhitong thought for a moment, then beckoned to the three of them. Qiao Muchen and the others moved closer to her.

"Okay, I have a great plan..."

After lunch, the four little ones started looking for Meng Fusheng all over the school.

In the end, they found him. This time, he wasn't in the locust tree but on the courtyard wall.

Zhao Zhitong glanced at Qiao Muchen and whispered, "We stick to the plan."

Then she ran towards the Teacher's study.

By this time, Meng Fusheng, on the courtyard wall, had already spotted the little ones.

Seeing them again, Meng Fusheng greeted them with a smile, "Hey, kiddos, are you looking for me?"

"Yes, yes, Mr. Meng, we were looking for you." Qiao Muchen nodded, his eyes gleaming. "Mr. Meng, we admire you so much! Can you teach us a few moves?"

Hearing their request, Meng Fusheng laughed. "Why do you want to learn this instead of studying hard?"

Qiao Muchen quickly put on a pitiful look. "Mr. Meng, I'm not very strong and I get sick easily. I heard from the physician that martial arts can build up your body, so I wanted to learn a few moves from you."

Meng Fusheng looked at Qiao Muchen and noticed that the boy was indeed frail. Compared to the other boy nearby, he seemed even more feeble.

So, after thinking for a moment, he nodded. "Alright, I'll teach you a few moves. Practice them often. They'll not only make you stronger but also help you defend yourself."

With that said, he jumped lightly from the courtyard wall.

His cool landing made Qiao Muchen and the others stare in amazement, nearly forgetting their plan.

Snapping back to reality, Qiao Muchen hurriedly said, "Mr. Meng, this place is too small. Let's go to the locust tree; it's more spacious there."

Meng Fusheng didn't suspect anything, so he nodded and followed Qiao Muchen and the others toward the locust tree.

Meanwhile, Zhao Zhitong was leading the Teacher toward the locust tree.

Mr. Meng: "You silly girl, how did your brush end up under the locust tree?"

Zhao Zhitong firmly held the Teacher's hand, as if afraid he would run off. Addressing Scholar Meng, she said in a childish voice, "I don't know. Qiao Muchen and I were studying under the locust tree, and after we finished, my brush was gone. It was a gift from you, Teacher, and I lost it. It's all my fault."

As she spoke, she looked as if she were about to cry from sadness.

Seeing her sad expression, Scholar Meng felt his heart ache for her and quickly comforted her, "It's okay, it's okay. We'll look for it carefully. If we really can't find it, I'll give you another one. It's no big deal, alright?"

The two of them started searching in the grass. Suddenly, Zhao Zhitong asked in her childish voice, "Teacher, do you have children of your own?"

Scholar Meng was taken aback by Zhao Zhitong's sudden question but soon smiled. "Of course, I have a son. You know, he should be about my height now."

While saying this, a look of longing flickered in Scholar Meng's eyes.

Zhao Zhitong asked again, "Teacher, where is Big Brother? Why have I never seen him?"

Scholar Meng stroked his beard and gazed at the horizon. "He's not here. He went off to champion the righteous and fight injustice. I haven't seen him in a long time either."

Zhao Zhitong blinked. "Wow, fighting injustice! Big Brother must be very, very powerful!"

Scholar Meng suddenly laughed. "Yes, he's quite powerful. I've heard he has done many good deeds, upholding justice."

Zhao Zhitong: "Wow, Big Brother is really amazing! He must be your pride, Teacher, right?"

Scholar Meng gently ruffled Zhao Zhitong's head. "Silly child, even if he weren't so capable, children are always their parents' greatest pride."

"Dad..."

A trembling voice suddenly cut through the air, making Scholar Meng freeze on the spot.

Then, another voice followed, "Dad! I'm sorry, your son has been unfilial!"

Meng Fusheng looked at the aged figure, the rims of his eyes turning red. He had always thought his dad didn't like him, that he was a disgrace. But now, hearing his father's heartfelt words, he realized his father had always been proud of him!

Thinking about how he had run away and never returned, he felt so incredibly unfilial!

Scholar Meng remained frozen, not daring to turn around. He feared this was still a dream, one that would vanish the moment he looked.

After a long moment, he turned around stiffly. As if it were an old father's everyday greeting to his son, he responded, "Ah, you're back."

However, his voice trembled slightly.

Zhao Zhitong gave Qiao Muchen and the others a look. They immediately understood and quietly slipped away.

Then, the little ones squatted stealthily in some nearby bushes, peeking towards the large tree.

They couldn't hear their conversation, but they could see the joy and excitement on the Teacher's face. Mr. Meng was kneeling on the ground, having kowtowed to the Teacher. The two of them held hands and talked for a long time.

"Did the Teacher cry? Why can't we hear what they're saying?" Zhao Yue squeezed forward, cupping a hand to his ear, trying to eavesdrop.

Zhao Zhitong, however, was completely blocked by him and said angrily, "Hey, Zhao Yue, stop blocking me! I can't see anything!"

As she spoke, she tugged at Zhao Yue. He instinctively grabbed Qiao Muchen, and Wei Shulan tried to help Zhao Zhitong. Then, the four little ones tumbled out of the bushes.

Just then, the Teacher walked over. They rolled right to his feet, and he caught them red-handed.

The four little ones immediately scrambled up, lined up obediently, and greeted, "Hello, Teacher."

The Teacher didn't say anything.

Zhao Zhitong immediately confessed, "I'm sorry, Teacher. I lied. I didn't actually lose the brush."

That was the first brush the Teacher had given her; she treasured it. There was no way she would lose it.

Looking at these little ones, Scholar Meng smiled.

If he still hadn't realized by now that these little ones were behind this, he'd truly be a fool.

So he reached out and gently ruffled Zhao Zhitong's head. "The Teacher knows your intentions, and the Teacher thanks you for your kindness."

Zhao Zhitong immediately grinned. She looked around, and not seeing Meng Fusheng, asked, "Teacher, where is Big Brother?"
