The Bizarre Wizarding World

Chapter 413 Becoming the Supreme Councilman_2

If he wasn't certain he should be alright, he would probably be thinking about turning back by now.

"Just a bit ago, I almost forgot to tell you that the summons from the Supreme Council this time isn't bad news. Well, usually, it's not necessary to apply in advance." Nois noticed Colin's nervousness, patted his head,

"It's just that, due to the intense warfare at the frontline, the Supreme Councilmen have not had much free time lately, which is why they needed an advance application."

"There's been a war at the frontline?"

Hearing Nois' words, Colin finally relaxed a bit, but then he was shocked again.

"Yes, you may not know being in the Roon Kingdom, but on the night the cave magic tide occurred in the Roon Kingdom, the Divine side also launched a comprehensive attack."

Nois replied, soon after giving Colin's shoulder a reassuring pat, "But you don't have to worry, now it's the Wizard side that has gained the upper hand.

Speaking of which, you have a part in this as well."

'My contribution?'

"It was you who discovered that the Adams Family had betrayed the Wizards, which allowed us to thwart more of the Divine's schemes."

Nois said, then briefly explained the situation with the Magic Energy Ore Veins and the battlefield at the frontline.

After listening, Colin was somewhat surprised, the news in the Roon Kingdom was extremely insular, and it had become more so after the cave magic tide.

He had not heard any related rumors at all.

"So, the reason the Supreme Council has summoned you this time is to reward you." Nois paused before looking at him and speaking softly,

"Colin, you have two choices, one is to choose knowledge acquisition as a reward, just like when you solved the Elf conspiracy."

"The other is for me to recommend you to become a councilman of the Supreme Council."

Colin was slightly stunned, exclaiming, "Become a councilman of the Supreme Council?"

The Supreme Council was the topmost organization of the entire Wizard World and the nominal manager of all Wizards.

And a Supreme Councilman was one of the most powerful people in the world.

No Wizard would not want to become a Supreme Councilman, but not any Wizard could become one.

At least, Colin had no idea at present how one could become a Supreme Councilman.

Yet now, he didn't even know the information on how to become one, but he was directly skipping that phase and needed to consider whether to accept the nomination?

"Yes, become a councilman of the Supreme Council."

Nois then briefly described to him the powers and obligations that came with being a Supreme Council Member.

All in all, the powers of a council member of the Supreme Council were considerable, but the mandatory obligations were few, and even less so than some Schools.

"Colin, I do hope you will become a councilman," Nois said with a somewhat serious expression and a soft voice, "Our world is not as simple as you think, only by joining the Supreme Council can you ensure that your talent is not buried."

He looked at Colin, as if there was much more he wanted to say, but after a pause, he just said,

"Of course, it all depends on you, if you..."

"I am willing to accept your nomination."

Nois was taken aback, a hint of joy on his face, "You're sure? I need to remind you in advance, joining the Supreme Council doesn't mean there are only benefits, especially since you are a Half-blood..."

"I have made up my mind." Colin said, then added with a smile, "Right now, I'm more concerned about whether I can successfully join the Supreme Council."

For the vast majority of Half-blood Wizards, even with all their effort and extraordinary talent, they could hardly dare to dream of becoming a Supreme Councilman.

They could only aspire to join a reputable School, then hustle and bustle, perhaps even risking their lives to slowly accumulate points to exchange for the Meditation Method and gradually ascend.

Restrained by their origins, even if they could join a School, their path was bound to be difficult... Colin was very much aware of this.

So now, with such a skyrocketing opportunity in front of him, he had no reason to refuse!

Besides, to take a step back, just by joining the Supreme Council, the Third Rank Meditation Method problem that currently troubled him would be easily resolved.

"You have absolutely no need to worry about that." Nois patted his chest.

...

Half an hour later.

The Communication Ring Tower nearby finally lit up, and Nois and Colin continued walking towards the depths of the chamber and eventually sat on a small Transmission Array.

Shush!

His vision went dark for a moment, then cleared.

Suddenly, Colin found himself no longer in the narrow chamber but on a spacious platform.

The gentle breeze caressed his face as tenderly as a soft hand, and Colin looked around in amazement.

They were now above the firmament; the pristine clouds were cast far below, curving in an arc.

The blue seas and brown lands were sporadically spread beneath on the giant sphere, profoundly shocking.

Such scenes, Colin had only seen in spaceflight images from his previous life.

Even though he could now fly, he had never flown so high.

It wasn't that he didn't dare, but he couldn't.

Whenever his flying altitude surpassed the clouds, he would always experience an inexplicable palpitation, the higher he went, the more intense it became.

It wasn't a matter of thin air or sparse Magic Power but a feeling as if he were being targeted by some malign intent.

Colin took a deep breath and raised his head again, only to suddenly notice something amiss.

Up until he saw the clouds below just before, he had always thought that this world, like Earth in his previous life, was a special planet situated in an unknown cosmos.
