The Backbender (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

"Wow! That's the avatar?" The citizens of the Kiyoshi island looked at Fei with wide eyes, full of hope and amazement. Fei smiled as she felt the gazes of the people on her. They were full of hope.

"Is this what it feels like to have people depend on you? It feels...Good." Fei muttered as she looked at all the people. Katara clicked her tongue as she looked away. She felt jealous...

Kanuk smiled as his hand wrapped around her slim waist. He leaned down, and he bit down on her ear lobe. Katara smiled as she looked up.

"Katara, don't compare yourself to Fei. You are not her like she is not you. Just be yourself, okay?" Kanuk said with a smile. Katara nodded her head as she felt a little bit better.

"Huh? Is that Sokka with Suki?" Katara suddenly looked towards a place with surprise, and Kanuk looked. Sokka was there with Suki, talking and laughing.

"Damn. Looks like Sokka does not have to worry about having someone to marry with." Kanuk said with a smirk on his face, causing Katara to laugh. Fei smiled as she looked at Kanuk.

While the team was having fun, a Fire Nation ship was moving towards the island, with a concentrating Zuko and a worried Iroh on the deck. The soldiers stood behind them with spears in their hands.

"Finally... I will have my honour back." Zuko muttered under his breath, not knowing that KIanuk had already spotted him from miles away, deep in the island.

"Guys, we have a bit of trouble on our hands." Katara and Fei looked at Kanuk in confusion before suddenly hearing the ship's horn from the shore.

Katara and Fei looked at Kanuk for an explanation, and he just pointed towards the sky, where smoke from the Fire Nation warship started filling up the sky.

"Looks like they just couldn't give up on Fei," Kanuk said as he started running towards the shore. Katara and Fei ran after him, and the Kiyoshi warriors followed soon after with Sokka.

Zuko, Iroh and the Fire Nation soldiers were off the ship. They looked around for a few seconds before walking deeper into the island.

"Stay and look out for the ship!" Zuko ordered as he turned to walk away. 2 soldiers stayed behind, shielding and protecting the warship as they watched Zuko, Iroh and the soldiers walk away.

In the air, Kanuk looked down at the fire soldiers and smirked as he started gathering water between his palms. With crackling sounds, the water in his palm began to smoke.

"Compress it until I can't anymore." As Kanuk compressed the water in his palm to the limit, it started getting hotter. Down on the ground, Iroh suddenly felt an extreme danger.

"Dodge!" Iroh shouted as he smashed Zuko away from where he was standing. The water beam passed by Iroh's ear. The water hit the ground and dug into a hole 8 meters deep.

"That was quite dangerous... Are you alright, Prince Zuko?" Iroh asked as he looked at the shocked Zuko. He looked up into the air, and Iroh's eyes widened.

"An Airbender? But he used water just now... No way, can there be 2 avatars?" Iroh muttered under his breath as he looked at Kanuk floating in the sky. 

"No, that is impossible. The avatar can only be a female!" Zuko said with gritted teeth as he stood up. Kanuk suddenly broke the sound barrier as he flew towards the ground.

"Is that Kanuk?! How is he flying?" Fei and Katara looked up in shock as Kanuk vanished from their sight. Fei could faintly see him move, but it was too fast.

Iroh looked up before taking a deep breath and throwing a jab toward the sky. Kanuk smirked as he used piercing blood to pierce through the fire.

Boom!

He hit the ground with a knee kick, creating a crater. But Iroh and Zuko were not there as Iroh moved faster than sound, dodging his attack while pushing Zuko away.

"You are fast for an old man. Can't say the same for him." Kanuk said as he looked at a soldier that was knocked out. He walked towards and picked him up from his vest before throwing him at Iroh.

"I thought I told you not to pursue us? I won't have mercy on my enemies. But you did not listen." Iroh sighed as he looked towards the sky. Right now, he wished to enjoy some Jasmine Tea.

"Young bender. My bones can't keep up with you. How about we leave it at this?" Iroh asked, but before he could do anything else, Zuko jumped and threw a kick, sending out an arc of flames.

'Might as well take the chance to copy Fire bending.' Kanuk vanished faster than sound as he attempted to hit Zuko. Iroh moved even quicker, intercepting his attack.

Boom!

Kanuk and Iroh collided, the air bursting as their attacks created shockwaves. Kanuk and Iroh started exchanging punches for a few seconds.

As Kanuk fought with Iroh, he was getting pieced up, not because he was slower, but because his hands were not all that. Grunting in frustration, Kanuk took the Trident from his back.

Swoosh!

Iroh jumped back as danger sense went off the charts. Kanuk jumped forward, his speed boosted as a wind gust pushed him forward. He slashed his Trident down, sending out 3 air slashes.

Boom!

The ground was carved into 3 trenches from the slashes as Iroh dodged. The team and the Kiyoshi warriors arrived at the scene and watched the fight with open mouths.

"What the hell! Since when can Kanuk bend air?" Sokka said while throwing his hand into the air. Frustration on his face. Fei looked at Kanuk with wide eyes and a bit of kinship in her eyes.

"He is... Like me!" Fei's face contorted, and a huge smile made it onto her face. Katara watched as Kanuk and Iroh fought with worry.

"That old man looks strong, I can't even see them move," Katara muttered in worry. The 2 suddenly jerked up as the soldiers started to surround them while Kanuk and Iroh continued to fight. 

"Surrender or be executed!" Katara and Fei looked at each other. They got into a combat stance and attacked the soldiers.

Boom!

2 soldiers were hit as a water whip smacked them in the stomach. Katara's hand on her shoulder was wrapped in water. Fei leapt up before smashing her stick onto the floor.

Boom!

The wind smacked into the soldiers, sending them flying into the trees and knocking them out from the force.

"Looks like your friends are okay. How about ending this meaningless fight here?" Iroh asked as he made a beam of fire come out of his fist. Kanuk dodged it with a jump before sending an air blast at Iroh.

"And let him continue coming after us? No, that's not how the world works!" Iroh sighed as he looked back at his nephew, Big Mistake.

Boom!

A beam of water multiple times faster than sound left Kanuk's palm, and Iroh could barely move as it pierced through his left shoulder. Zuko gasped as he watched.

"Uncle! You bastard!" Zuko screamed in anger, his flames suddenly heating up and getting stronger from his rage. Kanuk looked at him with disdain before appearing and hitting him in the gut.

Boom!

Zuko coughed up blood, and his body went flying into a tree. His body slid down the tree before his consciousness went dark. Kanuk suddenly opened his eyes as a heatwave washed over the place.

"Young man."
