Chapter 532 - 532 Yeoh Jun taking care of business
532 Yeoh Jun taking care of business
Today was a day to make history in Onyx federation once more. It was the day history was reversed, a day most never thought would come. The consequences of such a change were yet to be determined but it was expected that not everyone would be happy or upset with the power shift.
After Marshal Yi whetted their appetites people were curious about how his royal highness would respond to his son having an illicit affair with the Marshal. Illicit was the wrong word choice but to spice things up that’s the word that was being used on StarNet.
In front of every floating screen in Onyx Federation was the memorial hall for the imperial family members, a run-down hall that had been neglected for two decades.
The prime ministers had worked very hard to eliminate traces of the royal family over the years. They had already burnt the royal palace to the ground which was the most significant show of power of the royal family. What more these small historical buildings?
Today those prime ministers were brought to that rundown memorial hall in chains with their heads bowed. Their crimes had been published publicly and everyone was well aware of what they had done but some were very reluctant and hoped that Yeoh Jun would be merciful.
Just then a warship about the size of fifty football stadiums hovered in the skies above Loch Ness star and blocked the twin suns.
The city that was brightly lit was suddenly covered in gloom. The family crest on the warship put the crowd to ease. This was the Marshal’s family Crest. With them here nothing could go wrong, right?
Several mechs descended from the sky, each with its own personality. The badges on their breastplates were that of the generals. Alongside them were some lieutenant generals, major generals, and brigader generals from their field armies.
Such a gathering, the gathering of the seven hadn’t been seen in more than two decades. That was at the former emperor’s funeral.
.....
These men a.k.a the prime ministers had put on their masks pretending to be deeply saddened yet in their hearts they were already calculating Yeoh Jun, a young man who had just lost his last relative.
Now they had gathered again but this time it was for the return of the lost prince. The mechs stood on either side of the aisle as Hydra descended from the sky with a frame that was both chilling and dazzling at the same time.
The general performed a perfect salute and Hydra walked down the aisle toward the bottom of the stairs leading to the entrance of the memorial hall.
Hydra vanished right after and the former Marshal walked up the top of the stairs. After reaching the stairs he stood by the throne that hadn’t been seen for decades. The official throne had perished in the palace fire but there was one in the memorial hall.
It didn’t take long for two more mechs to appear. At a glance, it was easy to identify them as they were the two of the dazzling three.
Chronos and Igneous stood side by side evoking the patriotic spirit in the hearts of plenty. By hierarchy Igneous should have been in front of Chronos but the two walked side by side like a pair just joined in holy matrimony.
When they reached the stairs Chronos and Igneous vanished leaving behind a pair made from heaven. Zi Xingxi was clad in her bloodgarde uniform with her hair neatly tied back in a bun. As for his royal highness, he was dressed in regalia his father and his father’s father wore on the coronation.
It was obvious that today there was no discussion neither was there a second option. He was going to forcibly take back power and become the emperor of Onyx federation.
Yeoh Jun reached over to hold Zi Xingxi’s hand under everyone’s gaze. The drone even zoomed in on their clasped hands as though afraid that the entire federation won’t know that they were together.
When they reached the top of the stairs, prime minister Ikeda’s eyes widened. He saw the footage of Yeoh Jun fighting the beast and knew he was alive thus he had prepared himself for this moment but when he actually saw him he couldn’t control his expression. The only person who had stirred his heart was now standing there but he couldn’t even get close to him and hold him.
The person who had frequently appeared in his dreams had shown up in front of him close enough to touch but would never look at himself. When Yeoh Jun died he broke down in grief but unlike everyone else who had lost someone special, he didn’t choose to deal with his emotions the right way but instead chose to find substitutes to fill in the holes in his heart.
He was even shameless enough to try and bed the man’s only son directly transferring all his feelings for Yeoh Jun to Zi Han. Sure, he was rejected but the damage had already been done. He lusted over the man’s son because he couldn’t get the man himself.
Knowing Yeoh Jun’s personality he wouldn’t let this slide. Despite their close friendship in the past Yeoh Jun wouldn’t let him go. He was going to make him pay.
Prime minister Ikeda suddenly didn’t want to show his face anymore. He had let his obsession take hold of him and did such shameless things. Now retribution had come right on time. He turned his head away but he suddenly felt like something sinister was boring through his skin. Though frightened and very uncomfortable the prime minister didn’t dare look in that direction. He stood there quietly his back stiff.
Yeoh Jun retracted his contemptuous gaze and sat down on the throne with his queen beside him. Echoes of salutations to the emperor sounded almost causing tremors on the ground.
With the military acknowledging Yeoh Jun as the emperor, one would think that people would keep their opinions to themselves but that didn’t happen.
