The Apocalyptic Command: A Military Isekai LitRPG

Chapter 78: A True Commander

Quagmire, upon sitting, immediately brought out the notifications. Inside his mind, multiple sounds finally rang, which he accepted and viewed.

[Twenty-Four Low Rank Ghouls Were Slain, Granting Two Thousand Four Hundred Gold Coins]

[One Low Rank Fat Man Was slain, Granting Five Hundred Gold Coins]

[Six Low Rank Flying Man Eater Were Slain, Granting One Thousand Five Hundred Gold Coins]

[Thirty Low Rank Ghouls Were Slain, Military Merit I Mission Accomplish Thrice, Grantig Three Hundred Gold, and Three Skill Points For The Skill Shop]

One by one, the notifications appeared, and soon after a few moments, it finally ended. Glancing over the notifications, it seemed that the adjutant had summarized it into three big notifications, instead of having individual notifications, which would mean it would be a hassle, and would have to be individually closed. Which was a pain in the ass for Quagmire.

Looking over at the notifications, it seemed to have made sense, as before he encountered the ghouls and had hunted some cows, he had already encountered a few ghouls much earlier that he had efficiently dispatched.

Unfortunately, it seemed that the cows did not grant gold coins, quite unfortunate it was, he understood it, after all their enemies are the ghouls and those of infected by the worlds virus, and also as he thought made to encourage him to hunt for ghouls and eventually clear out the world of all infected.

After thinking for a while, he began to calculate the gold that he had earned and totaled it up, adding it to the gold coins that he currently had. Right now, he had seven thousand fifty gold coins, and he had eliminated twenty-four low rank regular ghouls, which gave him two thousand four hundred gold. Furthermore, he bagged a low rank fat man and six low rank flying man eaters, which gave him an additional five hundred gold coins and one thousand five hundred gold coins, bringing the entire total to four thousand four hundred gold coins.

Upon adding it to his existing gold coins, his usual seven thousand fifty gold coins have now become eleven thousand four hundred fifty gold coins, which, in other words, is already a lot, and by no means small. Which means he could now splurge a bit on blueprints.

Now adding the three hundred gold coins from the mission that was given by the system, he was now brought to eleven thousand seven hundred fifty gold coins. However, a question was raised in his mind: how come he was not rewarded for his earlier kills when he was travelling? He decided to ask the adjutant.

[In Order For The Mission To Be Accomplished, Establishing A Base Is A Must, And It Must Already Be Functioning For The Rewards To Be Given And Applied] The adjutant replied

"Make sense." Quagmire thought to himself, all the while agreeing with the adjutant.

Not only was this good, he could also begin getting more skills, which would mean his survival chances would increase a lot. His thoughts were continuing until his line of thought was suddenly interrupted by the adjutant.

[Additionally, You Are Hereby Granted Access To The Management Panel. Here, You Can Manage Through The Use Of The Adjutant, Everything That Is Happening In Your Base, Including The Movement Of Droids, And Communicate With The Management Using The Management With Your Troops And All.] The adjutant interjected in his line of thought.

"!!!" Quagmire was suddenly left agape, which then quickly shifted as his lips turned upward into a pleasant smile.

This changes everything, now that he has access to the management tab of the adjutant system. Which would mean, he could go into battle for a very long time or travel very far, and he could still manage his base and give orders, not only that if there were troops or the base have been attacked, he could efficiently give orders for defense and not only that communication, even if they do not have radio, communication would still be possible. Though it would come from him, and his troops would not have it, thus, radio is still needed and must be developed.

With that in mind, Quagmire left out a soft and silent chuckle. Unfortunately, he cannot dwell on it much longer, as it would mean risking and losing time, which he cannot afford, even if he were being patient. Time must always be used efficiently and is of utmost importance, unless for family, of course. But the point still stands.

He then quickly brought up the interface, pressed the management system, and as expectedly, he could see the overview of the map he was on, including its geography, slope, and limit. It seemed to have come from the pathfinder, and it looks like it was acting as a scout, as he could precisely see the droids, including their movements, and that includes the bases.

Right now, it was set on automatic, and he could see silhouettes of planned buildings that were transparent. he glanced over in its direction and saw that there was nothing there, then back over at the management. Upon back and forth, he correctly thought that it was planned, but upon seeing the priority list, he could see the things that are being built first, he could see buttons too.

He tried pressing the upper button, and the priority went up, and down, and the priority went down, and glancing over at the droids, the time he moved the list, they suddenly changed direction. Not only that, there were also the building tabs at the side of the management, which all the available blueprints he had.

He chose one and dragged it over, with the same transparent look, and when he let go, it was placed down, and it appeared on the map. He then proceeds to press it again, and a button with the X mark appears. He pressed it, and the transparent building disappeared.

Next up were the manufacturing buildings. There was a tab on the management system for manufactured goods; he could drag, edit, and change stuff, making things fully automated and only needing his input. With the things that have been given, he now truly felt like a commander once again.

Next up, he would buy more blueprints and manufacturing goods, and check up on the store more.
