The Ancient Revelation: Rewrite

As the clock in Akio's desk hits 7 AM, it sounds out an alarm. Whilst useless when no one's in it, that wasn't the case now. Slowly, Aoi's eyes open, as she recollects herself. Within a few seconds, she deduces that she slept in Akio's shoulder and he transported her here.

Aoi smiles slightly, as she gets up to turn off the alarm. After doing so, she realizes that Akio's phone is here, implying that he is in the building somewhere. She comes out of the room, looking to her left.

- "Hey, someone looks messy."

- "Huh?"

In response to the comment, Aoi looks to her right, seeing the brown-haired Earth General and best friend: Harumi Ametsuchi.

"Ah. Hah..."

- "How come you're here so early, Aoi?"

- "I slept here, apparently."

- "Hmm.. I see. You're looking for Akio, right?"

- "Oh, yeah. Do you know where he is?"

- "I do. Actually, I was about to head there. Do you want to come with?"

- "Sure."

- "Alright. You should make your hair first though."

Aoi agrees, and the two go to the bathroom in Akio's office. After all, the "leader" of the Shining Generals wouldn't use the same bathroom as the others, right?

A few minutes later, with Aoi making her hair and stuff, whilst sharing a few laughs with Harumi. The two girls head towards the "new" training room next to Jack's office, sinc she was informed of it beforehand. Meanwhile...

Inside the training room, Akio and Jack are having a sparring session which on closer inspection looks more like a deathmatch. A few hours have passed since the spar began, and it is obvious that both Generals have been somewhat exhausted since the start, even though it doesn't look like any one of them will be throwing up a white flag soon.

Akio is pushed back by one of Jack's punches, as he brings himself back to the front, throwing a fireball in front of his best friend, who moves aside and shocks Akio with thunder magic. After a split second of immobility because of the shock, Akio grabs Jack's right hand and trips him, this time hitting him with the fire ball up front.

This rips the top half of Jack's outfit, revealing the muscles that he hides below his cloak and some marks from the attack. Jack jumps back up, channeling lightning magic in his hand, forcing Akio to let go.

Afterwards, Jack jumps back, thinking that he'll have a window to breathe against Akio. However.. that was simply not the case. As soon as he looks to his front, Akio is already lunging at him, utilizing fire magic to propel himself by causing an explosion below his feet.

Akio plants his feet in the ground just in front of Jack, landing a roundhouse kick on the latter's face and knocking him down. Afterwards, Akio imbues fire magic in his right leg, attempting to land a flaming axe kick on his opponent's chest.

However, there's a problem: Akio is too cocky. Instead of starting the motion of the axe kick immediately after he completed his roundhouse kick, he waited for one second. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but Akio's opponent is Jack.

In the moment before Akio's leg descended, Jack used lightning magic to shock himself, regaining his senses, and dodging the destructive axe kick in the nick of time. As the kick lands.. nothing. As has been shown in the past few hours, the training room has not been affected at all by the explosive battle.. except for a thud caused by the kick.

As soon as Akio retracts his leg, however, He's met with a lightning magic-imbued punch to the face by Jack, which sends him to the wall. Jack prepares a lightning bolt to throw at Akio, who's been disorineted, but to his surprise, the latter has already regained his senses.

The two Generals smile at each other, as Jack throws his lightning bolt. Akio simply extends his right hand, covering his palm with fire magic. The two attributes clash, as Jack's lightning bolt tries to go through the fire barrier and hit Akio's palm, but the fire magic is simply too strong.

Slowly, Akio closes his palm into a fist, destroying the lightning bolt. This causes a small explosion and a smokescreen, in which both fighters can do anything to their opponent. Akio takes advantage of this opportunity, creating a small fireball in his hand and lunging at where he saw Jack last.

As he goes through the smokescreen, he sees Jack standing in front of him, another lightning bolt ready. The two prepare to strike each other with their attacks, but as they do so, they hear a familiar voice from the speakers:

{Hey! You two! Me and Aoi are coming in!}

That was none other than Harumi, who used the communication feature from outside of the room to give Akio and Jack a heads up. The two look at each other, as the attacks land. Jack is knocked back, whilst Akio is knocked to the door connected to the hall. Slowly, the door opens...

Harumi and Aoi stand outside of the doors, and as they slide open, the first thing they see is.. Akio coming towards them at somewhat worrying speeds. Aoi isn't able to react quickly enough, but Harumi half expected it.

Akio crashes. Smoke appears, and it looks like that Harumi was quick to create a wall with her earth magic, which Akio crashed into, as he slowly falls down.

Harumi and Aoi loom above the injured Akio, who took a good beating from that lightning bolt.

"Yo. You good?"

- "Depends on what you'd consider 'good'. What about you?"

- "We were doing well, but I think that seeing you in this state is a bit humorous. I don't think Aoi shares the feeling though."

- "Ah, go to Hell."

Akio chuckles, looking over to Aoi and smiling.

"Aoi, are you alright?"

- "Yeah.."

Aoi leans down to hug Akio, as Harumi enters the room, deliberately stepping on Akio's abs. Harumi's a bit tomboyish, and she has a friendly rivalry with Akio. The couple shares their embrace, as the General walks towards Jack, who's on one knee.
