The Almighty Diva: Reborn to be Worshipped

Chapter 22: The Fall of Brother Xing

Today, as soon Lu Xing arrived, he sensed something was amiss in Class 16.

Usually, Wu Hao, who would come bouncing over at the sight of him, called out, "Brother Xing," and then dashed to the convenience store. Five minutes later, he returned with a can of cola.

Lu Xing was pleased and reached out to take it.

But Wu Hao didn't even glance at him, placing the cola on the table next to Zhao Feifei instead.

Lu Xing froze mid-gesture, his hand still outstretched like Er Kang from the drama "Princess Huanzhu," feeling so awkward that his face turned red.

The others acted as if they hadn't seen him at all.

What's going on? He had skipped a few days of class to play games, and now they don't recognize him?

Lu Xing frowned, but his pride wouldn't let him make a fuss over such a trivial matter. Instead, he decided to lay his head on the desk and sleep.

Half-asleep, he heard Wang Hao's loud voice.

"Boss, why are you wearing so little? It's really windy outside. Wait, I'll give you my school uniform."

"Boss, this is a new milk tea flavor from outside. Do you think it's good?"

"Boss, shall we play another round later?"

Lu Xing was irritated by the constant chattering.

"Shut up, will you?"

He slammed his hand on the desk. "Wu Hao, shut your yap! When have I ever drunk such girly stuff like milk tea?"

After Lu Xing's outburst, the noisy classroom suddenly fell silent.

Wu Hao was taken aback. "Oh, no, Brother Xing, I wasn't talking to you. Go back to sleep."

At that moment, Ji Chuxing took a sip of her milk tea and smacked her lips. "It's delicious."

The soft, clear voice of the girl drove away all of Lu Xing's drowsiness.

As if in slow motion, Lu Xing slowly turned his head and saw a group of people, including Wu Hao, gathered around Zhao Feifei's desk.

A pretty girl, holding a large cup of milk tea, took a satisfied sip, closed her eyes, and said to Wu Hao, "How much is it? I'll pay you."

She pulled out a crumpled ten-yuan bill from her bag.

Wu Hao, grinning from ear to ear, said, "Boss, no need to pay. Can you play a round with me instead?"

Ji Chuxing thought for a moment. "For the milk tea, sure."

Immediately, the others followed suit. "Boss, what flavor do you want? I'll buy it for you later!"

"God Ji, I know a shop with great reviews. I'll buy it for you!"

Lu Xing: "???"

What's going on? Is he still asleep, or is Class 16 still asleep?

Lu Xing stood up expressionlessly, walked over, and raised his chin at Ji Chuxing. "Hey, who are you?"

Ji Chuxing, holding her milk tea, lifted her eyelids and glanced at him.

Zhao Feifei jumped up. "Lu Xing, what's wrong with you! You scared God Ji!"

"God Ji?" Lu Xing looked at Zhao Feifei, bewildered, then at Ji Chuxing, who was sipping her milk tea, looking frail and delicate.

"You call her God Ji?" Lu Xing said incredulously, sneering. "Zhao Feifei, are you okay?"

"God Ji is God Ji! What, you have a problem with that?"

Seeing that the two were about to get into an argument, Wu Hao quickly stepped in. "No, Brother Xing, God Ji just got here. You haven't met her yet."

"God Ji, this is Brother Xing. In the future, Brother Xing will look out for you too!"

Lu Xing felt his position being threatened and sneered, looking down at Ji Chuxing. "God Ji? Who calls her that? Did I agree to it?"

Wu Hao, who usually followed his every command, looked up and didn't dare to say a word.

Lu Xing laughed, but only Zhao Feifei dared to stand up to him. "What do you mean? God Ji is God Ji. Does it need your approval? Can you even beat God Ji?"

Lu Xing looked at Zhao Feifei, who was glaring at him, and gritted his teeth. "Fine, if you want me to look out for you, beat me first."

The atmosphere instantly became tense.

Wu Hao was almost in tears. "Brother Xing, that's not very friendly."

Although the boss is good at gaming, how could she beat Brother Xing?

"Friendly? What are our class rules?"

Wu Hao was in a dilemma. Although he regarded Ji Chuxing as the boss, Brother Xing was still Brother Xing, and he was important to them too.

Wu Hao closed his eyes and shouted, "Brother Xing, I haven't forgotten! Let reality shatter, let spirits break! Justice is determined by us!"

Ji Chuxing's lips twitched, nearly choking on her milk tea.

Zhao Feifei covered her face, wishing she could disappear on the spot.

Lu Xing was indeed satisfied. Good, he hadn't forgotten.

He looked at Ji Chuxing triumphantly. "See? I'm the one who decides. Beat me, and in the future, Brother Xing will look out for you!"

Outside the classroom, a figure darted away, heading towards the Qihang class.

"I told you, Ji Chuxing had it easy yesterday because Lu Xing wasn't there. Now that he's back, can she stay?"

"Exactly! A nobody like her doesn't deserve to make our Qihang class suffer and embarrass Mr. Liu."

"I bet, once Lu Xing is back, she won't even be able to survive in Nanzhong, let alone Class 16."

The Qihang class was indignant, hoping Ji Chuxing would be kicked out immediately.

But they didn't know that the situation in Class 16 was completely different.

At that moment, Ji Chuxing and Lu Xing were sitting across from each other at a table, surrounded by Zhao Feifei, Wu Hao, and others.

Lu Xing, his face flushed, said, "Again! I wasn't ready!"

Zhao Feifei cracked some sunflower seeds and rolled her eyes slightly.

Ji Chuxing made a sound, took a sip of her milk tea, and raised her hand.

Lu Xing gritted his teeth, grabbed Ji Chuxing's wrist, and tried to pull it back. To his surprise, he couldn't budge it.

Lu Xing refused to believe it.

He tried again, clenching his teeth so hard he thought they would break.

Ji Chuxing slowly sipped her milk tea, her wrist unmoving.

Suddenly, her arm moved slightly, and with a slap, Lu Xing's hand was pressed onto the table again.

The pain almost made him cry!

Wu Hao couldn't bear to watch.

His admiration for Ji Chuxing grew even more.

The boss is the boss. Brother Xing is no match for her.

Lu Xing's hand went numb, and he slumped in his chair like a rag doll.

Ji Chuxing stood up and let out a small burp.

"Hey—" Lu Xing stood up and patted Ji Chuxing's shoulder.

He was about to ask, "How long have you been practicing?"

In the next second, with a loud thud, Ji Chuxing performed a shoulder throw, sending Lu Xing crashing to the ground.

Wu Hao's mouth was wide open, enough to swallow an egg.

This was the first time they had seen Brother Xing defeated.

And… somehow, it was exciting!

Everyone's eyes lit up, looking at Ji Chuxing, almost shouting, "Big Sister!"

At that moment, Zhou Sixue, who had just returned from the infirmary, saw the scene.

Her face changed, and she quickly ran to Ji Chuxing, shielding her, and glared at Lu Xing with red eyes. "You! Don't you dare hit God Ji! Otherwise, I won't forgive you!"

Despite her fierce words, Zhou Sixue was a soft-spoken girl, with no intimidation at all.

She might not have realized that she was trembling.

Lu Xing: "No, I didn't, I didn't!"

Lu Xing immediately defended himself, and the others were shocked.

Zhou Sixue, who usually didn't dare to look at Brother Xing, was now standing up to him. How did this happen?

And why was Brother Xing explaining, looking so helpless?

Lu Xing was in pain and a bit embarrassed.

Ji Chuxing touched her nose, feeling a bit guilty. "Sorry, I forgot you're not that strong. I couldn't control my strength."

She walked over, knelt down, and with a snap, put Lu Xing's dislocated arm back in place.

With a serious expression, she said, "Next time, don't touch my shoulder. And in the future, Big Sister will look out for you."
