The Calm Before the Storm
A/N: I'm sorry if the quality of the chapters appear to have been deteriorating, my finals are still going on, so it's still quite hard for me to focus on both at the same time
........
*sigh*
Xeron Kezgenoth, the immensely terrifying and powerful demon lord of despair, simply sighed to a quite startled crowd that was not quite prepared for the events that had just taken place a few moments ago.
No-one of them spoke a word, they didn't even make a sound, not even Lilith, who's arguably the whole reason for this whole little episode in the first place, she just stood there staring at Xeron like he was some kind of divine statue.
And honestly, no one would blame her. The world only recognises strength, and Xeron who may as well be the strongest of them all, would at least have to be respected for his unparalleled might.
They all felt it when the Primal arrived and let out his presence. A great sense of oppression like no other, even Sirzechs who is considered the strongest in the room behind Xeron, found himself quite helpless in the face of the Primal’s oppression.
Then came the moment when the Primal moved with the intent to harm Lilith, he spoke a few words and instantly vanished, only to appear above the woman in question. He moved so fast it looked like he teleported, and no-one present had the reaction speed nor the power to stop him, and so he swung his weapon.
…But, he didn't succeed. The demon blocked him. Which made the Primal enraged, and he demanded the demon to hand over Lilith, because she is his right by a contract.
The demon refused, claiming that Lilith Morning Star is dead, and this one is demon and by extension, she's his….Only then did the devils understand. It seems that Xeron foresaw this scene coming, and in preparation made Lilith drink some of his blood, possibly making her into part demon, and thus coming under Xeron's jurisdiction.
A really clever scheme, one that both Sirzechs and Azazel swore to secretly try out in the future.
The Primal seemed to also understand the scheme that he fell for, resulting in a ‘battle’ between the two powerful individuals to take place.
Or more accurately, a one-sided beatdown, the Primal didn't stand a chance and was instantly beaten by the demon, and instantly sent back from where he came from.
It was both jarring and humbling at the same time, to witness at first hand the powerful existence known as a Primal, get instantly beaten by an even stronger existence.
“I have fulfilled my end of the deal, and thus have no real reason to stay here any longer”
Xeron said to no-one in particular, as he started opening a portal behind him that probably led back to his residence in the human world.
“I also have no real desire to sit down and chat, so if you have any questions, ask Lilith”
The woman heard her voice being called and snapped out of her revere, but as she was about to say something, the demon had already teleported away.
'Go back to your castle, I'll come to you when I have time'
She heard his voice in her head, and what he said cemented the reality she was in further. She escaped becoming a slave for the Primals by becoming a slave to the demon. Quite ironic actually, and a little sad, but it was at least something she chose herself, even if she doesn't like it very much.
*sigh~*
Her quiet sigh was the first sound that came out of her after officially becoming the demon's slave.

[The Primal's Domain - Third Person POV]
The Primal's Domain is considered the ultimate sanctuary for those who worship the Primals across the universe, and it is said to be incredibly divine in nature, and a mere glance at it will blind the mind of any being, even if it's a god king.
Naturally, such a precious place won't be accessible by any individual, and even those who can locate it would think a million times before barging into the residence of the universe's literal protectors.
*BOOOM!*
<Go and tell your friends to not mess with my vacation, or I'll personally come and end your little group of misfits myself>
….That's of course, not something that'll stop the Demon Lord of Despair himself
The Primal that was utterly humiliated by the hands of Xeron was spectacularly thrown out of the portal and straight into the Primal's Domain, which not only serves as a lesson for his arrogance, but also a threat to him and his fellow Primals.
<Eighth Primal, would you kindly explain to us what happened>
The now identified Eighth Primal instantly feels himself being teleported and chained to the ground, and finds himself in the presence of the four Primus, who don't seem very pleased from the tone of the Second Primus's tone of voice.
<I greet the Almighty Primus>
Swallowing his pride and instantly bowing down to his leaders, the eighth Primal looks at the ground in submission as he waits for the Primus council to allow him to speak.
<You may speak Eighth Primal, what's the identity of the man that brought you to such a wretched state?>
The Third Primus spoke plainly to his chained kin, and from his grave tone of voice, it's plainly clear that he's very much not pleased with the events that just transpired.
<...I sought to collect the souls that I personally contracted in the world known as the Draconic Deus…but, I was denied my right by the demon lord called Xeron Kezgenoth>
The silence multiplied tenfold in the face of the revelation, and while the Primus didn't have their faces visible due to the armor they always wear, one can sense their palpable sense of annoyance at the mere mention of demons.
<Explain>
The Eighth Primal shivered slightly in fear, it wasn't common for the first Primus to speak, and when he did, it wasn't something to be taken lightly.
<....It went like this>

[Human world - Xeron's Residence - Third Person POV]
“Welcome back Lord Xeron”
After arriving at his mansion, Xeron was greeted with the sight of his head maid Grayfia, who was bowing slightly in his direction; she probably felt mana fluctuation and assumed that he's arriving.
“Good evening Grayfia, I take it that Zeld has informed you of what happened by this morning?”
Grayfia nodded while confirming silently, it was quite a shock to her when she was suddenly approached by the demoness servant Zeld, claiming that her master wanted to show her something and offering her a small magic orb.
Grayfia didn't say much and just accepted the orb without thinking much, and the moment she touched the small orb, scenes of what Xeron witnessed today at the underworld started filling her memory. It was quite a surreal experience, it felt like she was there to witness all of it happening, but in reality she wasn't.
She also knew that Xeron was now an honorary devil and he possessed an evil pieces set, with Serafall as his first servant, which she wasn't sure how she should feel about it.
Her an Serafall were long time rivals since they first knew of each other, and while she didn't particularly enjoy the antics of the Satan Leviathan, she can't deny her position or more importantly, her power.
So seeing such a being willing become a servant to another was slightly overwhelming the her, but since becoming the demon's maid, she has seen far more shocking things, and comparing them to Serafall becoming his servant wasn't too much for her.
But the question is, why did he show her all this?
That's what she was about to ask him, but she was silenced when Xeron pulled out his evil set and waved the queen piece in front of her face.
'I see'
Grayfia now understood, he probably showed her the events to avoid leaving her blind, and she was honestly quite faltered. Not only because he chose to tell her about what happened personally, but also because he picked her to be his queen instead of Serafall.
The thought brought a grateful smile on the devil queen's lips, and with a smile that wasn't befitting of her reputation as the ice devil queen she accepted
“It would be my honor, Lord Xeron”
And so she took the queen piece, and similar to Serafall, she grew taller in height, and became even more attractive then she already is, with her silver locks gaining an intense glow of white, while her red eyes became slightly golden.
“You look dashing my head maid”
The devil queen wasn't new to compliments, and normally she wouldn't be moved by them, but this time, she couldn't shake the feeling of happiness from herself, despite her better judgment.
……
[The Primal's Domain - Third Person POV]
<I see>
The first Primus, after having been informed of what happened, spoke plainly. And to the horror of all other Primus he stood up from his seat.
The First Primus wasn't a regular existence in the slightest, he was a giant in height, standing over 14 feet tall, he didn't have a specific weapon like the other of his kin, instead he is said to be able to wield all 12 weapons of his kin and is capable of leveling an entire galaxy without ever as lifting a finger.
<Call all the Primals, we have something important to discuss>
So, it stands to reason that when such a being demands something, all others mustn't fail to follow his will.
