-> I was watching it well but why did it end

-> So what happened next?

-> Who’s that girl wearing the walking suit at the end? Is that how walking suits are supposed to be worn?

-> I live in Unhwa and when I see Secret Royal Inspectors doing suit fitting shows, it’s completely different

-> Is it an enhanced human ability?

-> It’s an enhanced human but how the f*** can they attack humans, that doesn’t make sense

-> Were the terrorists human?

-> Did you even watch the broadcast?

-> There’s an identity check lock, but who is that girl really? This is the first time I’ve seen something like this

-> Maybe she’s a high-ranking official at some military company?

-> Looks like you’re screwed now

-(Dynamic angle clip of Kim Seok-ho being beaten) -Thank you for protecting the Saint

-> Bye

-> Boom up of grief

-> I watched while holding my breath, f***

-> Wait, looking at this guy now, he’s that guy

-> Who?

-> The department store hostage incident perpetrator

-> Oh, the one who tried to escape through the window with the Saint as hostage?

-> Yeah

-> What?

-> Why is an ex-convict there?

-> They say he was brainwashed

“Argggh!!”

A death cry that was close to a scream echoed, and the one who looked like the leader of the terrorists fell heroically.

After confirming that the leader was completely dead, I approached Nazha and asked.

“Is it all over?”

“Yeah, it seems to be wrapped up now?”

Nazha gave a V sign over her suit that was soaked in blood.

“How was I, unni? Was I cool?”

“Huh? Oh, yeah! You were cool, of course!”

I hurriedly hid my phone behind my back as I answered.

Sorry. I didn’t really mean to turn it off.

Videos of people turning into pieces of meat, well, I couldn’t bring myself to livestream that.

Besides, whew, how does this unni not even blink an eye while tearing apart and killing so many terrorists?

She was on a completely different level from someone who was sulking after apprehending just one villain.

“Cough cough…!! Ugh…my back.”

“Oh, you’re awake?”

Just as my mood was about to turn sour, Kim Seok-ho woke up at a perfect time.

I shook Kim Seok-ho whom I was carrying on my back, rocking him back and forth as if soothing a newborn baby.

“You were sleeping so soundly, just like a baby.”

“Damn…my whole body hurts…I don’t even know how to respond…”

Kim Seok-ho slumped against me completely, entrusting his body to me.

In that state, he just rolled his eyeballs, and it seemed like he was belatedly taking in the aftermath of what Nazha had done.

“God almighty…”

Kim Seok-ho’s expression became complicated.

‘Hehe.’

Suddenly feeling mischievous, I called out Nazha’s name loudly.

“Unni!”

Then Kim Seok-ho, who had said he couldn’t move because his body hurt, desperately shook his head as if to say don’t do that.

“Did you call me?”

Nazha answered.

I smirked and slowly shook my head.

“Mmm, no. I just felt like calling you.”

“Huh?”

After that, whenever Kim Seok-ho was about to make eye contact with Nazha, he would deliberately turn his head to avoid her gaze.

This is fun. Maybe I should keep playing with him instead of letting him go.

At that moment, there were voices among the passengers who had been freed from their restraints.

“Doesn’t the train seem strangely faster?”

“Yeah, we should be approaching the final station soon, but why does it keep accelerating?”

Nazha and I locked eyes.

We had a bad feeling and hurried to the front car of the train.

‘Beep,’ the automatic door opened with a sound.

What was there were the train conductor and passengers, all tightly bound with sticky restraints and the control room door that had been brutally destroyed by a bunker buster.

“Ah, these…bastards.”

After spitting out a curse, Nazha rushed into the control room.

I untied the conductor and asked.

“What happened here?”

When I asked, the conductor remained silent, and instead, one of the bound passengers answered.

“You…didn’t see the cockpit?”

“Cockpit?”

“The control room! These guys completely destroyed all the instruments in the control room! We’re all going to die now!”

I felt a chill run down my spine.

Not far ahead is the station with the orbital elevator but the instruments were destroyed.

I had a terrible thought. In Chapter 1, was this the reason why monsters poured down through the elevator?

Unable to trust my memory, I reflexively opened the status window and asked about this.

The answer was ‘No.’

Right, my memory wasn’t wrong.

In the original work, the elevator collapsed purely because of Cheongang’s shoddy construction.

Fitting for a company that had grown rapidly with Chrome-ware technology, their basic internal management was a complete mess, so this could happen.

However, for some reason, while the result that the elevator would collapse remained fixed, only the cause of the elevator’s collapse seemed to have changed. Or perhaps something had been added.

Whatever the case, it was clear that if this train continued on its current course, it would destroy the orbital elevator.

‘Damn it!’

I shook and lifted the conductor who was slumped as if in despair but the man just looked up at me with dead black eyes for a moment, then dropped his head again.

“Mr. Conductor! Get up, please!”

“…It’s hopeless. I clearly saw the accelerator being destroyed along with the control panel. Without the accelerator, the train is like a car without brakes, continuously accelerating. By now, it would have reached maximum speed.”

“Shut up and get over here!! I’m a mechanical engineering expert, not a licensed driver!!”

Nazha shouted, peeking her head out from the control room.

I put down Kim Seok-ho whom I had been carrying on my back and instead helped the conductor to reach the control room.

Upon arriving at the control room, the conductor muttered in surprise. “What is this…?”

The control room, which was said to have been completely destroyed by the terrorists, had been restored to a state that, while not perfect, was at least functional enough to work with.

“There’s no time to answer! I don’t know the original design, so I just assembled it as best I could. Hurry and lower the speed or make an emergency stop or do something!”

The conductor, seemingly seeing hope at last, slapped his cheeks a few times and opened his eyes properly.

“I’ll stop it!”

“Hurry!!”

At Nazha’s cry, the conductor began manipulating the control panel.

I couldn’t understand at all what he was doing, but soon I could see his expression contorting.

“What’s the problem?!”

“The electrical signals aren’t being transmitted properly!”

“Damn it, this is why you shouldn’t mess with things you don’t know about!!”

Nazha ejected nanomachines once more and inserted them into the control panel but something wasn’t working right, and her expression also contorted, just like the conductor’s.

Watching the scene, I felt a sense of helplessness. Is there nothing I can do in this situation?

What could I do?

Telekinesis, brain wave control and electronic device manipulation.

Electronic device manipulation!

Immediately, I detected the part where the conductor had said “the electrical signals aren’t being transmitted” with my ability.

There were about three spots that seemed right, and I sent signals to those parts.

“Sir, try again!!”

Hearing my cry, the conductor pulled the lever again with a whoosh.

Then the train began to brake and gradually slowed down.

‘We, we made it…!!’

Just as I let my guard down, the train started to speed up again.

I could immediately understand why.

The time I could control electronic devices with my ability was just a few seconds at most.

Until the train completely stopped, I had to maintain this signal.

It was an impossible task with my stamina.

“Sawol, you…”

Nazha looked at me with surprised eyes.

It’s probably due to the residual symptoms that appear when enhanced humans use their abilities.

I lowered my head as if to hide the red energy rising in my field of vision.

“Are you seeing it?”

No, that’s not it. If you’re talking about the future, I can’t see it at all. I don’t have that kind of power but I am certain this train will definitely stop before hitting the elevator.

Even if not by someone here, it will definitely stop because I have a feeling.

-Ding!

-You have a new message!

A strange current was flowing through my entire body. Someone is coming here.

I took out my phone from my pocket and checked the message preview.

-I’ve arrived

“Hah.”

A laugh escaped me without realizing it.

In the darkness that had settled over the city, a human figure suddenly leaped up.

It ran at the same speed as the train, gradually getting closer to the tracks, and eventually jumped onto the front of the train.

Landing gracefully, it showed no signs of fatigue.

It brushed away hair fluttering in the wind as if it was a nuisance and peered toward the rearview mirror.

The passengers were all surprised when they saw it suddenly appear.

It was a hero not yet fully ripened, the first light that would finally shine brilliantly.

The passengers were quite familiar with that being.

“Last!”

“It’s that first generation from the internet!”

Last seemed unable to see inside the train due to the blocking film, and looked around quite a bit.

Then, as if suddenly remembering the phone tucked away in his pocket, he took it out and sent a message to Chae Yu-ha.

-I’ve arrived

-Where are you?

Chae Yu-ha is typing a message…

-Train

-The train won’t stop

Last checked the condition of the train.

He hadn’t noticed because it was gradually slowing down, but certainly, at this rate of deceleration, it looked like it would hit the upcoming terminal station.

-I’ll stop it

Last left a single chat message and jumped onto the tracks.

At the same time, a loud noise echoed as Last’s greaves scraped against the rails.

-Screeeeech!!!

The front of the train crumpled under Last’s strength, passengers screamed but the train didn’t stop.

Last climbed back onto the train and caught his breath for a moment.

It was a reckless method.

But to decelerate a moving train, what other insight could there be besides this method?

Last steeled his resolve once more and jumped onto the tracks.

-Screeeeech!!!

Then the train, which had shown no signs of stopping, began to gradually come to a halt.

At that moment, the long darkness of the city lifted and bright neon signs illuminated the train.

The train was just now beginning to stop. It was obvious that it would collide with the massive elevator rising toward the deep and high sky at this rate.

‘I can do it.’

Perhaps due to overexertion, Last began to hear again the auditory hallucination that he had stopped hearing at some point.

‘Because you are my hero.’

The owner of the hallucination was a young girl, a girl with golden eyes who always followed behind him.

‘Last.’

At that moment, in Last’s blue eyes, an ominous golden light settled, a fighting spirit that seemed ready to burst pierced the sky.

The train decelerated explosively.

With a ‘thud,’ dust scattered.

When the dust cleared, what remained was Last, still standing but unconscious, and the completely stopped train.
