That Time I Got Reincarnated With Gacha System In Mahabharata

Chapter 31: Chapter No.31 Noble Trouble

[Aditya's POV]

I could seriously get used to this~

Sleeping on most luxurious bed with one of the most beautiful woman in Mahabharata world, I could seriously get used to this.

My cute and sometimes scary wifey, Draupadi sleeping with a content smile on my chest trying snugle into my very being.

My arms wrapped around her, one resting on her waist while other petting her head with a rthymic motion, as I marveled at the serene beauty of the moment. Draupadi's dark hair spilled like a waterfall across the white silk sheets, framing her delicate features. The soft, rhythmic rise and fall of her breathing created a soothing symphony that filled the lavish chamber with tranquility.

"Hubby~" Draupadi murmured in her sleep which a smile on my face widened at the sound.

"Yes, my love?" I whispered, careful not to disturb her too much.

Her eyes fluttered open slowly, revealing a pair of deep, expressive orbs that sparkled with a mix of affection and mischief. A small yawn escaped her lips, and she stretched, like a cat basking in the sun. "I could stay like this forever," she murmured, snuggling closer into my embrace, her warmth enveloping me.

I chuckled softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Well, we have all the time in the world now. We can take as long as we want."

"Mmmm..." A happy goan left her sweet lips as she buried her face at crook of my neck, her breath warm against my skin. The intimacy of the moment made my heart swell with affection. "You know, I never imagined my life would lead me to this," Draupadi said, her voice muffled slightly as she pressed against me.

"What do you mean?" I asked, genuinely curious.

She pulled back just enough to meet my gaze, her eyes searching mine. "I always thought my life would be filled with conflict and challenges, but here I am, wrapped in your arms, feeling safe and loved. It feels surreal."

I couldn't help but smile at her words as she don't know how true her words were as if I didn't marry her, she would have to marry Arjuna and due to some previous life boon had to marry all five pandavas then sent to Vanvas, and Cheer-Haran...

But all those route cut down by me, changing the entire fate of Draupadi, and giving her a life filled with love instead of strife. But she don't need to know all that...

"Wifey deserves all the love and happiness in the world," I said softly, brushing my thumb across her cheek.

"Hehehe~" Draupadi's laughter was like music, a sweet sound that filled the room with lightness and joy. She tilted her head playfully, a teasing glint in her eyes. "You always know the right thing to say, don't you?"

"I try," I replied, my heart warmed by her playful spirit. "But I have a pretty amazing muse to inspire me."

She leaned in, her lips brushing against mine in a gentle kiss, igniting a spark that sent a thrill through me. "I love you, Huuby~" she whispered against my lips, her voice soft yet earnest. "You're mine!"

I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks as her words wrapped around me like a cozy blanket. "And I love you, my fierce and beautiful wife," I replied, returning her kiss with a deeper affection, savoring the sweetness of the moment.

Creak! Creak! Creak!

Scratching sound came from the other side door, a chuckle left my mouth as I know who is 'it' or what is 'it'.

"It seems lil' Fenrir is awake already and ready for some mischief," I said, pulling away from Draupadi reluctantly.

She giggled, the sound light and melodic, as she slid off the bed, her bare feet making barely a sound on the plush carpet. "Let's go see what our little wolf is up to then."

As Draupadi moved towards the door, I couldn't help but admire her graceful movements, the way her hair swayed behind her like a dark veil. She opened the door just enough to peek through the crack, her expression shifting from playful curiosity to one of mock seriousness.

"Fenrir, what are you doing?" she called out, her tone a mix of authority and affection.

A small whine came from the other side, followed by an excited bark. The door swung open fully, revealing our mischievous little pup with a glossy coat and bright, inquisitive eyes that sparkled with youthful energy.

"There you are!" Draupadi exclaimed, kneeling to embrace the little wolf. Fenrir bounded into her arms, licking her face with fervent joy. "Did you miss us?"

"Of course, he did," I said with a chuckle, leaning against the doorframe. "It's not every day he wakes up to find his parents in bed together. Besides, he knows we're way too comfortable to be productive right now."

Draupadi laughed, her laughter ringing like chimes in the morning breeze. "You're probably right. But maybe we should take him for a walk before he decides to tear the furniture apart."

Fenrir barked excitedly, bouncing on his paws as if he understood every word. The sight of him was enough to melt my heart; the little furball was a perfect blend of Draupadi's grace and my spirit.

"Alright, then!" I said, moving to join them.

After a long walk in the royal gardens, I went back get ready for the meeting with nobles of my kingdom for the first time.

It's only a weeks time left before I will be crowned as the king and three to four days before guest's start to appear.

I wore a luxurious silk black doti with golden stitching, a symbol of both my royal status. The fabric felt smooth against my skin, and I adjusted the folds to ensure everything hung just right. I stood before the ornate mirror in my chamber, admiring the way the golden embroidery glinted in the soft light filtering through the window.

A light knock interrupted my thoughts. "Are you ready, Aditya?" Draupadi's voice chimed from outside, filled with warmth and encouragement.

"Almost," I called back, as I picked up a matching angavastra from a nearby chair, draping it over my shoulder. "Just putting on the finishing touches."

The door creaked open, and Draupadi stepped in, her presence lighting up the room. She wore a stunning silk saree in shades of deep red and gold that clung to her figure elegantly. The fabric shimmered, catching the light with every movement, and her dark hair was beautifully braided, adorned with fresh flowers. She looked every bit the queen, a vision of grace and strength.

"You look absolutely breathtaking," I said, my voice filled with genuine admiration. "Is it any wonder I find it hard to concentrate when you're around?"

Draupadi smiled, a hint of mischief in her eyes as she approached. "And you look quite regal yourself, my king," she teased, adjusting the angavastra draped over my shoulder with a playful flick.

I grinned, feeling the warmth of her compliment. "Thank you, but I feel like I might need more than just good looks to impress the nobles today. They tend to be... discerning."

Draupadi's expression turned serious for a moment. "Remember, you're not just representing yourself; you're representing us. Your words have power, and your vision will shape this kingdom. Speak from your heart, and they will see your true strength."

"And if they just don't like me being King out of nowhere?" I asked teasingly as I glanced at her reflection in the mirror, my playful tone contrasting with the underlying nerves.

"Then they can only hope to leave this palace on their legs intact, because whoever disrespect my hubby have no right to live in my kingdom," Draupadi declared fiercely, her eyes flashing with a protective fire that made my heart swell with admiration.

I chuckled, her spirit infectious. "I have no doubt about your capability to defend our honor, my fierce queen."

Draupadi stepped closer, placing her hands on my shoulders, her gaze steady and reassuring. "You are more than capable, Aditya. You won me over with your kindness, intelligence, and strength. Trust in yourself as I trust in you."

Her words resonated deeply within me, fueling my confidence and reminding me of the bond we shared. I leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. "Thank you, Draupadi. With you by my side, I feel like I can conquer the world."

"Then let's not keep the world waiting," she said, her playful demeanor returning. She took my hand, and together we left the sanctuary of our chambers.

As we walked through the palace corridors, the air buzzed with anticipation. The vibrant tapestries adorned the walls, telling tales of our ancestors, their valor, and their legacy. Each step echoed with the weight of tradition and expectation, reminding me of the significance of the moment ahead.

We entered the grand hall where the nobles awaited, a mixture of anticipation and trepidation coursing through me. The vast space was filled with rich aromas of incense and exotic delicacies, colorful banners fluttering overhead, and the murmur of voices blending into a harmonious chorus.

As we approached the dais, I could feel the eyes of the nobles upon us, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and scrutiny. I stood tall, drawing strength from Draupadi's presence beside me. Together, we ascended the steps to the throne but—

"Hold your steps, right there your highnesses!" One of the noble stood up from his seat with a arrogant smirk that seemed to challenge my authority before we had even settled into our roles.

I turned to face him, with my expression calm. The noble's elaborate robes fluttered around him as he strutted forward, his eyes gleaming with contempt. "You are the king yet to sit on the throne as only the king have on the throne, and you still haven't proven your worth. What makes you think you can lead us?"

A murmur rippled through the hall, the tension palpable as the other nobles looked on, intrigued by the confrontation. Draupadi stiffened beside me, her protective instincts flaring, but I raised a hand to calm her.

As I only activated one skill...
