that time i got reincarnated as a true dragon

Chapter 7: annoying demon lords

Velzuth POV

After teleporting back with Kaijin and the others, I took a deep breath of fresh air. It felt good. No more tight royal armor, no more formal talk, and especially no more angry Raphael judging me for having fun.

{Correction, I was not angry. It is just your imagination.}

Yeah, yeah. Tell that to your tone.

The goblins welcomed us with awe. The moment they saw the dwarves, it was like they were seeing heroes. I mean, can't blame them—these guys were real craftsmen, unlike the goblins who built a house out of sticks that fell over when the wind blew.

"Welcome back, Lord Velzuth!"

"We've prepared the land for new construction!"

"Good to be back," I said with a grin. "This is Kaijin and his crew. They're going to teach you how to actually build things that won't collapse if you sneeze too hard."

"Yes, Lord Velzuth!"

Kaijin stepped forward, serious as always. "We'll need to set up workshops, a forge, and basic housing. But first—we need proper tools. I saw your hammer, and I'm not using that thing even if you paid me."

Fair enough.

"Okay, until you forge your tools, I'll give you this."

I gave them hammers and a variety of other tools using Material Creation.

"It's top-notch, but it's directly related to my magicules, so if it gets damaged and I don't have enough magicules, you can't repair it. That's the reason why I didn't use Material Creation to build the houses and everything to begin with."

{Notice: The probability of Master running low on magicules is way too low.}

Yeah, I know, but better safe than sorry.

"Okay, you can go to work now."

By evening, the camp was filled with energy. Goblins were running around carrying logs, dwarves were shouting instructions, and I… I was lying on a large flat rock, enjoying the sunset.

"Lord Velzuth!" Gobta came running—finally out of the hole, it seemed. "We found something strange!"

Oh great, here we go again.

"What now? Are you here to tell me some demon lord is stirring trouble with us?"

"What? No... we spotted some ogres running our way."

Oh, are they here to join us? I mean, a lot of goblins were joining us after they heard this place is under my protection.

"Okay everyone, it seems we have visitors. Everyone continue like it's nothing. I'll go personally and see what's happening."

And with that, I moved out towards the ogres approaching. There were exactly three people: two with red hair and another with pink hair. Hmmm, I liked the pink-haired one already, but let's see what they want.

"Why the rush?" I said as I landed on a tree.

If I would say so, I was pretty cool just now.

"Who're you?" the young red-haired one said as he took out his sword.

"Me? Aren't you supposed to know, since you're heading towards my village? I'm Velzuth, the fifth True Dragon."

After they heard that, they all bowed to me.

"No need for that. Why were you running like crazy? Is something the matter?"

"Lord Velzuth, we humbly ask for your protection. The orcs are attacking our village. We were in a rush because we wanted to reach you before they could reach the village," said the old-looking red-haired one.

Orcs, huh? They're stirring trouble inside my domain?

"Okay, so if I get it right—you want to be my people? I protect my people with everything I've got."

"We couldn't ask for more honor than this."

He said that, but the young one didn't seem very pleased. Regardless, I'll take care of those orcs anyway, so having new people isn't a bad thing.

"Okay, I'll help. How many orcs are attacking you?"

"There are ten thousand orcs. They're approaching our village as we speak. I don't know if we can make it back in time."

"Just point to where your village is, and I'll be there in a second."

And after he pointed out the location, I flew there right away. I was moving faster than sound, and when I spotted the village, I landed there. I reached it in a mere second, and when I landed, everyone was on high alert.

"Who are you? Identify yourself!"

Yeah, I'm sure they're freaking out right now—their leader left them, and a mysterious person appeared before anyone could react.

"No need to worry, I'm Velzuth, the fifth True Dragon. Your chief told me about your village's situation, and since he said you'll be my people, your problems are my problems."

But they didn't lower their weapons. Well, I guess it's understandable. Anyway, I'm spotting orcs heading here—it's just some minutes, and they'll be here. What should I use to deal with them?

{Notice: I suggest Master try his True Dragon Magic. After all, Master didn't use it before.}

Oh right, I remember you told me about it before, but I completely ignored it, saying it can't be as good as ultimate skills, so it doesn't need mention.

{...}

Why the long face?

{Nothing, Master.}

Okay, suit yourself. Anyway, I'll use this thing called «Void Implosion Singularity».

And just like that, I flew into the sky—not giving a damn about the ogres down there who were still pointing their weapons at me—and started forming a very dark little sphere in my hand. It was so dark that you'd think it was actual void condensed into a sphere. Nonetheless, I threw it at the orcs, and oh holy shit… what happened next.

Everything within about two kilometers started to get sucked and compressed very fast. After that, all the orcs in that radius were crushed inside the sphere. But things didn't end there. The sphere started collapsing on itself until it suddenly detonated outward and made a big explosion, reaching even farther than before. In a circle with a five-kilometer diameter, there was nothing but empty land. No orcs, no animals, no trees—nothing.

I was absolutely stunned. I didn't think it was this powerful. My jaw dropped. What the hell just happened? The ten-thousand-strong orc army vanished like they never existed. I looked down to the village, and everyone's jaws were dropping to the ground. I won't blame them—they were in existential danger, and it just vanished like it was never there.

I, for one, was once again stunned by my power. I mean, you'd expect this kind of thing would consume a lot of energy, but I was completely fine. In fact, I'm pretty sure I can fire at least one hundred more of these things. How much did my magicules reach again?

> {Notice: Master's magicules reached 66,666,666.}

Wow, it doubled again. When will this thing stop rising? But at least the orc problem is solved.

Laplace POV

Hello everyone, it's your favorite clown. You're wondering what I'm doing? I'm watching something so unbelievable.

You know I was scheming something related to orcs—you know, just me scheming like always. We ordered the orcs to attack the ogres' village. Their chief was running with his children. We thought he was escaping, until someone appeared—God knows from where—and things got messy. That monster just threw something at the orcs and *kaboom*, they all vanished. Completely annihilated. That thing is dangerous. Excessively dangerous. I won't be able to escape that. I better start running before he notices me, or I'm absolutely cooked.

After escaping, I reached Clyman and brought him a recording of what happened, because this idiot won't believe me if he didn't see it. And when he saw it—

"What the hell is this, Laplace? When did this monster appear?"

"Believe me, I don't know where he dropped from, but you absolutely need to be careful. You can't escape that attack."

"Tsk. This is annoying, but I'm not planning to cancel the Orc Lord plan. Let him test how far this monster can go. And if I acquire Millim as a pawn, everything will be fine."

"That's just a reminder, Clyman: you can't control Millim that easily. Better be safe than sorry."

"No need to worry, Laplace. I know what I'm doing."

Huh. Well, I tried to warn him. I'm off—I don't want to see that monster again.

In the Ice Castle

Velzard POV

I was very bored. This damn demon can't even take a hint. How can someone be so dense? I'm very bored—or so I was, until suddenly I sensed a big aura in the Jura Forest. Is this idiot free and causing trouble again? His aura disappeared for a couple of days, then returned again, then disappeared again. Is he perhaps dying? Should I go and free him? No, let him reincarnate and hope he'll be a better brother next time.

But then again, I recognize this aura… and at the same time, I don't. I know for sure it's a sibling, but it isn't Veldora or Velgrynd, and not big brother Veldanava, of course. So whose aura is that? Is it a new sibling? Oh, things are getting interesting. Should I go and visit him?

No, let's wait a little. He'll probably give a headache to that senseless stupid demon. But he deserves it. I'm not stopping him from causing trouble for you—you heard me, you blind demon.
