Terra Nova (TV series SI)

Taylor chuckles but nods in agreement, "So what detail did you assign my father too?"

"Agriculture...I know he was an exemplary detective, but I need to see what he's made of before I trust him with a gun...and the security of my people." Commander Taylor says and I dip my head in acknowledgement.

"I don't have a problem with that... though I'd feel better if there was a dedicated force to investigation and prevention of crime...I know you keep a tight ship, Commander Taylor...but people will be people, I'm sure there's things going on in your ranks that you don't know about. Things that poor are keeping secret from you."

"Aye, Lucy has been working as Terra Nova's law enforcement..." I pause midstep through the portal that lead back into Commander Taylor's office.

"You mind if I have Wash fly those boats out of their and to the supply depot?"

"No...but would probably be best to clear everyone out of the depot, I don't mind you, Alicia or Lucy knowing about my little world and portal making ability..."

"Nough said, I'll lock down the depot tonight only Wash, Lucy and I will be present."

"Sounds good, for now I think I'll head home and get some shut eye just have Lucy or Alicia come get me."

"I'll send Lucy to collect you once the duty shift at the depot is over...you want a ride back or would you prefer to walk?"

"Doesn't matter to me either way but a walk might be nice." I say and Taylor develops a smirk on his face, "I think you'll enjoy the walk back." He says to me and points out the window where I can see Long Necked dinosaurs leaning over the fence eating leafy tree branches.

"Woah..." I murmur softly, and on autopilot walk out of Taylor's office towards the fence, I hear someone muttering, "Hey Sky look at the Fresh." But I ignore it as I pickup a branch from the ground and hold it out to the long neck, it slowly lifts me up into the air, I let go of the branch and catch myself on the perimeter fence and sit there petting the massive animals neck, it's flesh like leather and incredibly warm to touch.

"Oh my god, look at him he's crazy!" Someone shouts but I can't wipe the smile off of my face, as I get into a squatting position and jump up onto the Long Neck's back, it's muscles twitch but it doesn't react much more than that to my weight.

'Do I want control of a herbivore?' I ask myself but the answer is yes because I want to show off to Maddy, Zoey, Sienna, Elizabeth and Lucy...maybe Alicia too...and Sky.

Closing my eyes and laying across it's back I will my desire to make it mine, I feel a tugging sensation near my belly button and suddenly I feel something snapping into place between us a bond of sorts

Impressions and sensations flow between me and the Long Neck intensely... overwhelmingly at first before they settle down and I know I have full mental control over this creature and it's happy for that, I command it to walk around Terra Nova until we find Zoey.

"DADDY!" "JOSH!" I hear a mix of shouts and look down seeing Zoey looking up at me riding on the back of my Long Neck dinosaur's back.

'This is actually incredibly uncomfortable and difficult to do.' I think as I have my Long Neck dinosaur... 'Lets just call her Bessy.' Bessy walk over the fence I climb down the fence and get slammed into my an excitedly babbling Zoey.

"Her name is Bessy, she's a nice Dino..."

"Can I ride her with you, please Daddy? Pretty pwease?!" Zoey begs adorably and just as I'm about to cave.

"Joshua Noha Shannon, you are not taking Zoey for a ride on that things back!" Elizabeth snaps and marches over to us, Zoey turns on the charm.

Eyes moistening with tears bottom lip trembling, "Please mommy? Daddy will keep me safe and Bessy is nice." Zoey pleads, "Please Mommy?" I add on doing my best to mimic Zoey's adorablness, while Sienna, Maddy and Jim all laugh and or giggle, at Elizabeth's double helping of cuteness.

I can see Elizabeth's defenses crumbling before mine and Zoey's combined efforts, I give Elizabeth...Mom the look look, the promises I'll do that thing that absolutely drives her crazy tonight, which makes a flush bleed into her skin.

Zoey sensing victory giggles, "Come on Daddy, let's go ride Bessy!" Zoey cheers while Elizabeth let's out a tired sigh.

"Alright climb onto my back, Monkey." I say to her and kneel down letting her climb into my back her legs wrap around and interlock over my abdomen while her little hand slide under my arms and squeeze my shirt in her little fists, near my pecks.

It takes me seconds to climb up the fence Zoey giggling the whole way and then screaming, as I jump from the fence to Bessy's back, "DADDYYY, AHHH!!!" when we land on Bessy's back Zoey gasps in awe, "it's so pretty daddy."

"It is, isn't it sweetheart?!" I say gently and command Bessy to make another ring around Terra Nova while Zoey goes from clinging to my back to sitting in my lap.

The adorable little munchkin is waving her hand to people shouting "hi, and hello!" like she a princess.

I spot Commander Taylor and Lieutenant Washington watching us both have smiles on their faces but Alicia's seems almost hungry as she stares at me, holding Zoey in my arms.

'Mmm, does Alicia want a baby?' I wonder and am very willing to put one or a dozen into her.

"Daddy..." Zoey suddenly calls out to me softly.

"What is it, Sweetheart?"

"Umm...I don't want to live with Daddy Jim... he's kinda scary..." Zoey murmurs softly.

"He's just goofy looking not scary sweetheart, he loves you sooo much." I try to confirm Zoey.

"C-can I live with you... please Daddy?"

"Mom and I will talk about it later, okay Sweetheart?"

"Thank you, Daddy!" Zoey cheers excitedly and hugs me, "I didn't say yes, Zoey...I said that I would talk to mom... it's not guaranteed..."

"But if you make mommy make those funny sounds she'll let me live with you..." Zoey says and leans back beaming at me.

'Oh god...Zoey has overheard us having sex...' I express and feel a little mortified that I've been corrupting my adorable little terror munchkin.
