Terra Aeterna: The Rise of Humanity's War Machine

Chapter 182: Chapter 182 "The Cost of Betrayal on Pandora"

Dark Skies Over the Sea - A Battle of Souls and Vengeance

While the battle raged on the shoreline, Jack Sully remained unaware of the bitter truth-his tribe had already fallen. His eyes were locked onto the human warships desecrating the sea and sky of the Metkayina.

Then suddenly, a voice he knew all too well echoed inside his mind-soft yet resolute.

> Eywa:

"Jack... something is wrong with that human."

Jack froze, his breath caught midair. Eywa rarely spoke. When she did, it was never without great urgency.

> Eywa:

"This human... his power is strange. Forbidden. Pure... and alien, even to me."

A shiver ran down Jack's spine. If Eywa, the spiritual force of Pandora itself, could not comprehend the essence of this intruder-then their enemy was no ordinary man.

> Eywa (solemnly):

"But now... he is weak. This is your moment, Jack. Don't waste it."

Jack's eyes ignited with fury. He clenched his bone spear tighter, lowered himself onto his sea mount-his Skimwing-and surged forward.

> Jack Sully (muttering through clenched teeth):

"You bastard..."

Far ahead, standing atop the command deck of the Sea Dragon battleship, was a man in radiant golden armor. Kenthelion. Dressed in the sacred regalia of the Emperor of Mankind, the Emperor's Sword resting dimly in his hand, he gazed across the waves like a god awaiting tribute.

And Jack knew him.

> He was the one who killed Jack's wife and children.

He was the one who stole everything.

With a roar choked in rage, Jack and his Skimwing riders burst from the depths, launching themselves toward the ship.

A suicide charge?

Maybe.

But Jack didn't care.

Sea Dragon - A Clash of Vengeance

Inside the command chamber of the Sea Dragon, a crew member's voice crackled over the comms, thick with unease.

> RDA Crewman:

"Your Majesty, we have visuals. Jack Sully is approaching from the west. Should we shoot him down?"

Kenthelion chuckled-a low, commanding sound that echoed through the steel chamber.

> Kenthelion:

"No. Let him come. Jack is mine."

He turned, gaze sharp and unwavering as he stared out toward the battlefield beyond. Then, with a slight nod, he issued a second, colder order.

> Kenthelion:

"As for the other Na'vi... handle them. You know what to do."

At his word, several Royal Guards clad in crimson armor marked with the sigil of the Empire surged into action. They moved like programmed slaughter-machines, descending upon the remaining Na'vi warriors on deck without hesitation or mercy.

But Kenthelion's focus never wavered. His eyes locked on a single figure in the distance.

> Kenthelion (lowering his golden mask):

"You remember me, don't you, Jack?"

A mocking smile curved his lips. In his hand, the Emperor Sword shimmered-a blade of divine fire thirsting for blood. He raised it with casual ease, wordlessly inviting the inevitable duel.

> Vengeance would be paid.

And blood would spill.

In the quiet of his mind, Kenthelion smirked to himself.

> "So this is the feeling villains in movies and novels used to talk about? Incredible... utterly addictive. But no need for speeches. Those who talk too much tend to die first."

Meanwhile, Jack Sully clenched his jaw, the echo of Kenthelion's voice stoking the embers of rage in his heart.

> Jack Sully:

"You'll pay for everything. Your life will be the cornerstone of Pandora's rebirth!"

Kenthelion didn't answer. He only smiled.

Then, slowly, he began to shed his armor-layer by golden layer. Each piece of Imperial regalia fell to the deck with a metallic thud, until only his bare chest remained, sculpted like a war god from ancient myth. He wore nothing but dark military trousers, his stance regal and unshakable, like a king without a crown.

The reaction among the Sea Dragon's crew was immediate and mixed-gasps, wide eyes, tension crackling across the observation deck as personnel watched in stunned silence through the internal monitors.

> Male Team Member (stunned):

"Oh my god..."

> Female Team Member (eyes sparkling):

"Oh. My. GOD!"

A few even began to drool, completely entranced by the rare sight unfolding in the midst of war. Whispered voices rose from the surrounding team like the first tremors of a fanatical storm.

> Female Team Member (dazed):

"Can I... have his baby?"

> Female Team Member (gasping):

"It's... so big..."

> Male Team Member:

"Those muscles... like classical sculpture! Power! Dominance!"

> Male Team Member (to himself):

"Damn it... I need to hit the gym."

> Female Team Member:

"Sugar daddy!"

> Female Team Member:

"My ovaries can't take this!!"

> Female Team Member:

"You sexy beast!"

> Female Team Member:

"So hottt!!"

> Female Team Member:

"Marry me!!"

> Female Team Member (crying):

"I love youuu!!"

Kenthelion remained utterly unbothered by the uproar. That body wasn't just for show-it was forged through multi-dimensional genetic engineering and brutal, relentless training. This wasn't vanity. This was a declaration of superiority. A physique crafted to lead, to destroy, and to strike fear into the hearts of all who opposed him.

Jack Sully, however, was deaf to it all. Gripping his spear tight, he surged forward atop his Skimwing, every ounce of rage and grief driving him toward Kenthelion.

> Jack (charging):

"You'll die here!!"

But...

> Kenthelion (calm, unmoving):

"Too slow."

With a single, graceful motion, Kenthelion sidestepped the attack-like he was dancing through the air. His movements were fluid and precise, and Jack's bone spear sliced through nothing but wind.

> Kenthelion *(flat, mocking):

"You move like a slug. Come on... move as fast as you did when you failed to save your daughter... and just as fast when you killed her with your own hands."

The words hit harder than any weapon could. Kenthelion's voice echoed in Jack's mind like a curse etched into his soul. Each syllable slashed through him, reopening wounds he'd tried to bury deep.

Jack gritted his teeth, fury boiling across his face. His hands trembled-not from fear, but from the burning urge to destroy the enemy before him.

Jack Sully:

"NOW'S THE TIME!"

With a furious roar, Jack lunged forward, driving a razor-sharp arrow straight at Kenthelion's chest.

But-crack! The arrow, famed for piercing steel plating, shattered the moment it touched Kenthelion's skin. No wound. Not even a scratch. Just a dull thud, like he had tried to stab a living concrete wall.

Kenthelion glanced down at the broken shaft before his chest. He chuckled inwardly.

"Damn... my body's like an anime character from Baki now... not even a stab works anymore."

He lifted his gaze to Jack with a deadpan expression and spoke calmly.

Kenthelion:

"If your little play is over... then it's my turn."

Without warning, a fist crashed into Jack's face. The punch was so swift and powerful, it sent Jack flying backward over ten meters before slamming into the ground with a sickening crunch.

Kenthelion walked forward slowly-cold, composed, like a reaper counting down borrowed time.

Kenthelion (flat, scornful):

"Seriously? That's it? You can't even handle a light punch?"

The sarcastic words echoed in Jack's mind. But this time, he couldn't answer. His eyes were red, filled with tears and blood. Images of his lifeless children and the wife he had strangled with his own hands flashed through his mind like a never-ending horror reel.

Jack Sully (shocked, almost whispering):

"Why...? We never provoked you... Why did you attack us...?"

Kenthelion stared at him in silence. When he finally spoke, his voice was cool, emotionless, but with the weight of judgment.

Kenthelion:

"You don't need to understand. You only need to kneel. That's the only fate left for you."

He stepped closer-steadily, unflinchingly. His eyes sharp as drawn blades.

Kenthelion (continuing):

"To be honest... I don't even understand it myself. How could someone like you-a human-betray your own kind... just to become part of some blue-skinned aliens."

Kenthelion:

"While humanity bled just to survive... while our Earth slowly withered away, devoured by ecological collapse and drained of all its resources... you turned your back on us."

Kenthelion (flat, laced with scorn):

"You chose to fight your own kind. You drove them off Pandora. And now you think you're some kind of hero?"

Jack Sully (choking back tears, voice brimming with anger):

"They brought that on themselves! They destroyed Earth, not us! You can't blame us for your own damn mistakes!"

Jack Sully:

"The Na'vi aren't savages... they live in harmony with their world! Unlike you-who come only to destroy and take!"

Kenthelion let out a soft, cold laugh-like someone who already knew victory was his.

Kenthelion (mocking):

"Hah... And you think that's enough to wash away who you are, Jack? You're still human. You think you can just wipe your hands clean because your skin's blue now?"

He stepped closer, slow and deliberate, his eyes locked on Jack's-on the eyes of a former human.

Kenthelion:

"You were once a man. A marine. A soldier. You were chosen to replace your dead brother because your DNA was a match. They gave you a new body-an Avatar, strength, a second life."

Kenthelion (voice sharpening):

"And what did you do? You bit the hand that gave you everything."

Kenthelion:

"Even crippled, you were still a warrior. You once swore to protect humanity. But the longer you stayed on Pandora... the more you forgot who you were."

Kenthelion (cold, seething):

"You put your faith in trees... spirits... and alien prayers... instead of the human children starving back on Earth."

He looked down at Jack, his voice dropping, bitter and sharp like a cold knife sliding into flesh.

Kenthelion:

"You knew Unobtanium was humanity's last hope. The one material left that could save civilization. But you turned your back on it. You chose this planet-mud, beasts, and empty dreams. You chose savages over your own people."

Then, with resolute steps, Kenthelion stomped his boot down onto Jack's head. It wasn't just an act of violence-it was a symbol. Of dominance. Of humiliation. Of conquest.

Kenthelion:

"Pathetic creature... You and your false gods will leave behind nothing but dust and the stench of betrayal."

He leaned in, his voice calm now-deadly calm.

Kenthelion:

"But don't worry. Your death won't come swiftly. No. Your death will be a lesson. Carved into the annals of human history. Taught across every world. Repeated in every academy. As the final example... of a man who abandoned his people to become a primitive blue-skinned beast."

Kenthelion (his eyes cold and unwavering):

"Your name will be spat upon by future generations. You're no hero. You are a stain-one that must be scrubbed clean from the fabric of human civilization."

He pressed his foot down slightly. The ground trembled. Jack's head sank lower into the dirt beneath him.

In that fleeting second, Jack's fate hung on the will of one man-once a god among the stars.

Kenthelion:

"I was going to kill you, right here, right now. But then I realized... death is a mercy. And you, a traitor, don't deserve mercy."

> "You'll live... long enough to witness the destruction of everything you tried to protect. You'll watch your people fall to their knees, your gods silenced, and Pandora's skies stained with the flags of mankind."

> "And when that day comes, Jack Sully... the world will know. Your betrayal wasn't courage-it was the foolishness of an animal that traded civilization for the illusion of harmony."

> "Only when everything lies in ruins will I grant you death-not as a man, not as a Na'vi, but as an eternal blot on the darkest page of human history."

With terrifying strength, Kenthelion lifted Jack with a single hand-hoisting the massive Na'vi body like a fragile doll. His gaze no longer focused on Jack, but beyond him-toward the frontlines, toward the sea now dyed crimson.

There, eight Emperor's Shadow Guards and twenty-four Royal Guards, clad in sleek black-and-red armor and armed with advanced energy weapons, surged forward like unstoppable war gods. The ocean boiled around them, superheated by the fury of their plasma cannons. One by one, the Na'vi of the sea clans fell-ripped apart, incinerated, shattered by relentless energy blasts.

Tonowari, the chieftain of the Sea Clan, charged forward with a defiant roar-but before he could reach Jack, an energy blade slashed through his body. Blood sprayed into the air as his form split in two. His final cry echoed into the chaos:

Tonowari:

> "Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaack...!"

---

Kenthelion (his voice calm, like a supreme judge delivering the final sentence):

> "Look, Jack Sully...

Look and remember. This is the price of your betrayal.

They died not because of our power... but because of your foolishness."

> "That is your alliance. People willing to die for a man who abandoned his own kind to become an alien."

> "You are no leader. No savior.

You are the architect of their destruction."

Kenthelion turned his gaze back to Jack's face-now pale, bloodied, and frozen in shock and horror.

> "You wanted to show me the Sea Clan's home once more?"

"Then look now... that home is sinking beneath their blood and shattered bones."

> "And this... is far from over, Jack. Far from it."

Still clutching Jack Sully's head like a broken toy in one hand, Kenthelion raised the other. High above, particles of Aetherion-psionic energy of the highest tier, reserved only for the High Lords of the Imperium-gathered and shimmered, forming a glowing violet projection in the air.

Right before Jack's eyes, hell unfolded.

The village where his family lived... engulfed in flames. Fire devoured the once-sacred trees, smoke blanketed the mountains, and corpses littered the land. Homes collapsed. The sky of Pandora-once peaceful and blue-was now black, thick, and starless, like an eternal night.

Jack Sully:

> "No...! Don't do this... please...!"

Jack struggled. He kicked, punched, and thrashed-like a child striking a steel wall. His fists and screams were nothing but powerless sobs.

Jack Sully:

> "This is your fault! You're the murderer! You're the monster!"

But Kenthelion stood still, staring at the projection with unnerving calm. Cold. Unshaken. There was no satisfaction. No rage. Only... judgment.

Kenthelion:

> "My fault?"

He locked eyes with Jack, now brimming with tears and consumed by horror.

> "You're wrong, Jack Sully. This isn't my doing. This is fate-the fate of traitors."

> "You are the reason they're dead. I am merely the instrument. The instrument of humanity's justice."

Without warning, Kenthelion's fist lashed out-once. It slammed directly into Jack's gut. A thunderous crack echoed as Jack's body was hurled into the ground. Motionless. Unconscious.

Expressionless, Kenthelion grabbed Jack's limp body like discarded trash and tossed it onto the floor of the dreadnought-class warship behind him.

Kenthelion:

> "Imprison him. And make sure he lives... until the day of judgment comes."

Then, Kenthelion turned toward the sea-where hundreds of Na'vi corpses floated among shattered tree homes and charred remains of sacred beasts.

The ocean wind carried the stench of blood and ash. The sky remained crimson.

Kenthelion (in a cold voice, barely above a deathly whisper):

> "Eywa... come if you dare.

You're next."
